COD4, WAW, MW2, BO1, MW3, BO2 were the peak of COD

Its a damn shame where COD has been heading. MW2019 was an absolute blast in multiplayer, just me and my friends on a double XP weekend after work. I miss that alot

I think what annoyed me the most about MWIII was the fact that weapons, camos, attachments, etc from MWII was entirely ported over instead of starting from scratch like every one previous. The remastering of the old MW2 maps was cool to see as well. Another thing is that they were marketing stuff like red dot on mini map for un-silenced weapons as if it was a "new" mechanic cuz it was taken out in the past cods when it shouldnt have been taken out at all. COD will never be the same as it once was and we all are def guilty of clinging on to the nostalgia a bit too much. The greed and intense conditions from Activision on IW Treyarch and Sledgehammer will continue to be too harsh for them to put enough time necessary into making another good game. At the end of the day tho, this franchise gave me some of the best and my most favourite memories in gaming that I'll always hold close. Just sad to see a series i loved so much fall deeper and deeper into the sewer (Yap over TDLR: I agree with everything said in here)

I'll be brutally honest, COD was great but they should have stopped making it at MW2019. Cuz just about everything after that was just greed taking over with the "how much can we possible milk out of these players" and not "how can we make this a better game" and since then it's just been downhill

I feel this in a deep level. Cod was always my childhood game besides mortal kombat. Me and my cousin always playing zombies or campaign. And then years later when playing mw remastered , activision had blocked my ip for whatever reason. So I’d have to play with my hotspot after that. Then years later today I will sometimes go on the game and it works and others it doesn’t. But yeah cod isn’t the same and I’m not sure if it ever will be. Also why they blocked my IP I have no idea I never cheated but who knows

I had forgotten all about everyone putting their clan tag as their 2v2 W/L. Definitely brought back a lot of fun memories. Really makes you sad that they never added that mode again considering how many people played and enjoyed it. Same with League Play from BO2. Will never forget how much fun it was to start a “real” CoD esports team with all of your friends

MW3 faceoff was one of the funnest experiences i’ve had. I could play it all day, glad to see someone else loves erosion LOL. Also YES COD ONLINE WAS SO GAS. I loved that game almost more than OG MW2/COD 4. It was so fun to play, i can’t believe it got shut down without ever being brought to the U.S. I will always cherish the videos i randomly recorded of the game and privated uploaded to youtube, makes me sad. This is prolly one of the best videos you made ash! Love the script, the editing, and the tower joke omg LMAO I don’t think I regret buying MW3 because I had my fun getting the camos but that’s about it. I bought it for Invinitii and we had a blast, but we haven’t touched it in months and been focusing on other games like Palworld. I’m hoping the Microsoft Activision buy can bring back the feeling we’ve all been wanting, and they go back to the original what it’s supposed to be. Simple, casual fun, scary zombies, and a campaign that actually is memorable. But like everyone else, I think Warzone definitely ruined call of duty and what its main purpose was. I never really have had fun on Warzone, and if I had to choose a BR, I would prefer Apex in my opinion. Again, well done with this video man! Been loving these kind of videos and can’t wait to see what else you got in store for us. 💙

I love how you pointed out it's really not the DEVS fault because they are really pushed to make a game in a timeline that doesn't work and if they make an game by the end of the timeline they will A) be fired or B) be relocated to a position that they don't have enough experience on.

I used to play warzone 1 and loved it, but once they decided to make warzone 2 I gave up on warzone because the money I spent on warzone one was pointless and would be on warzone 2 if they just keep creating new warzones. Them not committing to just updating one game just killed it for me so I stopped playing.

man your opinion is exactly my opinion. i still thought cod was a good franchise up until they released mw2019 and warzone. from there it all went downhill in all aspects. zombies got less budget cause of warzone, multiplayer got insane sbmm, warzone became the cash cow so all other modes suffered. its a shame. bocw was still pretty fun (at least zombies wise cause i aint ever touching mp or warzone again) but it was still a big step back even from bo4. bo4 zombies had weird changes to the gameplay that didnt need changing but it was still a great experience. compared to how horrible and boring dark aether is in bocw, bo4 was amazing. the atmosphere was on point and the story was interesting. i get that its hard to create something new when people are still drawn to characters they have played for 10 years but chaos did it. i liked chaos. it just go introduced at the wrong time. everyone was still wanting to know what happens with the aether storyline so people at the time didnt care for chaos but activision saw it as "they dont like chaos cause its bad" when in reality its more like people were just not ready. and chaos had all the ingredients and traits i loved so much about original aether. over exaggerated characters, over the top story and all that jazz. bocw is just campaign with some zombies. its so horribly boring. i hope it picks up in cod 2024 and gets better but man i hated bocw in that regard.

I immediately lost interest in the franchise when the Zombies mode started to fizzle out when MW'19 came out. Also, you know they fucked up when you're required to buy MW2, in order for MW3 to work. They should've just made MW3 into extra MW2 DLC instead of a whole ass game.

Although I agree with you, almost fully; you should of had some statistics to back you up. This is a decent rant video, but a rant video nevertheless. In your next video; get some other peoples perspective, thoughts, and some evidence to back up the claims. I'd also highlight some of the positives that the game you discuss has had, a good example that you could of added for this video; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019 Remake). This would show that they have the ability to create a game that everyone wants to play, but choose not to... strengthening your argument. Outside of that, a good video; excited to see more like this if that's your plan.
