I loved slime from day one everything about it and if I don't get a season 4 because of the fake fans calling it boring imma be pissed off seriously stop complaining and watch this amazing show

this is a world building show, its literally about a slime trying to create a nation of monsters, season 1 and 2 didnt have much action either but its not a shonen its an isekai

this just popped into my head but season 1 is like character recruiting, season 2 is like character development, and season 3 is most focused on *world* development(at least more then the other seasons I feel)

It's a world building anime with a complex plot. It may not be for everyone if all you want is a dumb shonen but it is exciting in a different way

A lot of the "hate" comes from reactors too. Most of them are pissed at the show because meetings makes for boring reactions, they all say they love the show but can't really react to it.

yea, this yapping rooms with 10 minutes yappings was fun. I hated so much when Hinata and Rimuru actually met and something happened. But now when conflict whit Hinata ended it looks like more my favorite yapping rooms. Let em cook? Only true fans will understand, the haters are people who just want action and no story building and world building. They don't understand what makes a anime great. There are some anime that have a lot of action and a decent story though.

What makes Slime interesting is the world-building, political manuevering, nation building as well as the action sequences that are built to as a result. If you don't like that, then this isn't the anime for you. And what is meant by "fake fans" are people who just want this to be another shonen battle anime (which it's not, and that's clear if you have read the LN's)

Agreed. My fav Anime of ALL time is "From The New World" slow build but amazing after you get the introduction and setting. Only 25 episodes and it leaves you wondering about the world we live in.

At the end of the day, entertainment is subjective and for many Isekai is pure escapism, it's rare to see Isekai at the top of overall best anime lists above Shonen and other genres and there is a reason for that, because for a lot of people watching shows like Slime, Overlord, Eminence in Shadow, all we want is fun, hype and fan service, and not 5 episodes of exposition with fantastic writing standards. If you enjoy world building and the development of nations and characters that take place with the characters sitting in a meeting room having a chat for hours at an end then good for you, but for many it's too much and not what was expected of what was previously a fun action Isekai with occasional moments of world building. Personally I really enjoyed the first couple seasons, movie and slime diaries, I've watched all available and loved it, but this season has been extremely lack lustre so far, and that's just my personal opinion, I'm still watching it but now it feels like a chore to get through the episodes and have been stacking episodes in favour of better (more entertaining) anime this Season.

I can understand some of the shade, because this part of the story is doing heavy lifting setup not just for the next arc but for the whole rest of the series, and there's 6 like different things going on, and I'm sure most of it is blowing right over the heads of the specific people who are complaining. Even so, these people are just outing themselves.

the only reason ppl harp on slime is because they want their show to have the attention ... naruto stans do it one piece stans do it dragonball stans do it ... its litterally the only thing they ever say the second theirs world building and actual plot oh this is boring blahh blahh i mean take the SAO hate for example : konosuba stans pissed kirito and asuna are together screaming uhhh they are too young ... then you point out megumin's age and they have every excuse ... kirito and asuna have 1 year age gap theres nothing wrong with it on the other hand megumin is between 13-15 ... in that series.

dude, I don't think that's the problem. Me personally, I just wish that Rimuru had some more resistance when he does things. At this point, it just feels like any other wish fulfillment isekai; in the middle of fighting Hinata he just got a sudden random power-up. I'm okay with it not being a battle action shounen, I just want there to be some resistance, it's getting really boring watching Rimuru just BREEZE through any conflict. It's not boring because of all the buildup, it's boring because of the lack of payoff. I mean, dude, Frieren was out there just a couple seasons ago and they had an OP protag, they had a lot of non-action and they still managed to be make a good show that didn't feel like a drag to watch because all the conflict had emotional consequences and Frieren, as overpowered as she was, wasn't a charismatic bisexual GOD who everyone just immediately drops their underwear in front of upon even so much as glancing in her direction. I'm really hoping that you're right and the action somehow makes it worth it doe, I really did like the first two seasons, especially when it felt like they had stakes during the war arc. I really hope that something bad happens to literally ANYONE in the main cast. Rimuru's power does not feel earned honestly, the story happened in the span of 2 years in universe and he already has an ultra-metropolis with the best everything and makes everyone else look like a caveman living in a hole. We don’t call them he show boring cause there’s no action, my favorite scene from GOT, peaky blinders, warrior, breaking bad were the dialogue. Slime turned ned into a generic iseakai for people 16 and under. The writing isn’t subtle at all especially when comparing it to season 2.

Honestly this is probably one of my top 3 most favorite animes. It rates up there with Overlord, and One piece. I want to see this anime fleshed out. The wait is boring, yes but im happy its not a one season and done. 👍🏻😎 ❤

What I don't get is Mushoku Tensei has basically been a slice of life for about 12 episodes and no ones complaining there. Only now are we about to get to action and it's still my calculations could be wrong two to three episodes away.

I read the whole novel and what bothers me the most is that the author took the shounen route where the main character doesn't choose any of the girls, it's a stupid way to make harem, at least the author of One Piece told the fans no romance no harem. Even Guku had a wife and kids 🤣🤣😎

Personally I feel like those are the same people who will gladly watch filler upon filler of episodes of like shows like one piece but if there's just like a couple episodes of a short series like slime they go ape. Also like maybe read the description of the anime before you watch it just saying because slime is a story-driven isekai. It's like saying konosuba is too light-hearted it's ridiculous. But I have not watched season 3 so I can't say too much but I will say if it's boring to you stop watching it literally no one is making them watch this anime they can just say it's boring and move on gorgeous go through it

Have loved show from day 1. Have read the LN as well, and if what I read could be turned into anime, this show would blow all others away. Period. But, unfortunately, you have too many "spoiled" bt Shonen anime they literally are unable and unwilling to enjoy this show on its own merits.

The problem for me is that the direction is horrible nothing visually interesting happens and I don't mean fights. The characters have been stuck in the meeting room and it's boring to look at, when I watched the last 6 episodes i have just kept my eyes on subtitles cause every episode we're in the god damn meeting room. I love this series and I don't even mind the 6 episodes of talking and world building but you have to admit the episodes haven't been particularly interesting to look at because the direction is shit.

The world building, story, and character development are all great BUT OH MY GOD one more episode of where the majority of it is BORING MEETINGS and I am done with this series. S2 end = LN V9 | after the "incident" on LN V12 everything is fighting | so why are they takeing it so slow? Well look through the history of anime, tensura isnt makeing one of the cheap cash grab animes that fit 100 manga chapters in 2 episodes (lile promis neverland S2) because we all know how that went. but tensura instead is doing the same thing as animes like the goats (big 3)

I'm watching this season but I do understand why people might think its boring. For me its just a big annoyance that Rimuru is so overpowered yet he plays it down big time. And yes I know thats kind of the point, nobody really knowing how overpowered how Rimuru is. I think its overall a mid show, but worth the watch.

Yeah, I love world building but it just wasn't done right here... The main character is just too overpowered such that he doesn't need to put much effort in combat. And MC being LGBTQ makes it worst... There are other anime like tsukimichi: MoonLit fantasy where it was better... The MC cared about the people under him, did face issues, is overpowered but has his own struggles... Over simplifing and removing elements which highlight the mc's character and over complicating or overindulging is boring conversation and it being of no use in the end is what makes this shit.
