To be fair, that was because of Howard. Howard likes slapstick and “inappropriate” comedy and if he was still on he’d probably let this guy go for longer until the “million people” joke where he’d probably get tackled off stage. Shows that, while they aren’t completely raunchy like that of HBO’s and Adult Swim’s programmin, still have controversial themes and references with different levels of swear words and possibly some offensive slurs thrown in every once inna while.

Nowadays they almost don’t care if you’re genuinely talented, rather they care about whether or not you’re sympathetic enough for the audience to root for. Sure these people ARE talented, I’m not ignoring that. The problem is that AGT focuses more on highlighting their tragic backstory, over their talent
