would be really helpful to have a "how to react to" kind of video where you are shown a situation in a fight duel or melee and you pause for a moment to show what is happening and what to do

It shouldn't take you 8+ minutes to say go into a dueling server. I learned nothing from this.

i just got mordhau free on epic and i have a really good friend, we played duels and he though me some stuff and now im a lot more confident in my fights. Im still bad at the game but it looks good and i hope to improve!

Man i just came back to Mordhau afer something like 4 years, back then i wasn't bad, i was not the best player in the world, but in dueling servers i would win like 60% of duels, but now i have been playing for 2 days and maybe i win a duel out of i don't know, 40? It's insane, i can be playing for a whole hour without killing anybody

I think ranked 1v1s are the perfect way to get better. They're more fun than duel servers imo. If you're a low rank, you'll face people your skill level, and as you get better and beat them consistently, you'll start running into better and better players. It can be really frustrating and discouraging to get bootystomped over and over by high level players using cheese weapons, so I think this is the way to go to retain new players. No threat of RDM or dead servers either

I find this really interesting, because I just got this game tonight, played for about an hour, on a dead server of a capture type of game, and I just played against one or two dudes, one who was pretty good it seemed, a lot better than me or anyone else that ever temporarily joined my team, so there was just a bunch of duels kind of like this, and I honestly feel really decent at fighting now in just that one hour of constant 1v1s with my rapier against the menagerie of weapons that where thrown at me, and I feel like I learned soooo much so quickly. it helps that I'm a huge medieval combat nerd and it actually somehow translated really well, but like... I lost my train of thought, but yeah, great game, great advise, I love scoundrel default merc.

heyo. i lil over 1.4k hours in mordhau. all i have to say is learn how to drag and accell well and chaimber fient spammers. parry skills come with time but just be careful not to panic parry 247. as for which weapon to use, any weapon is viable but the longsword and greatsword are good starting weapons. if u really wanna learn id advise you to equip 2 training swords and go around asking people to duel with just the training swords (drop one on the ground for em) sometimes it'll work sometimes not but youll get alot of experience of how to parry and other mechanics with training swords. another tip is joining a mordhau server and just ask around for coaching. some more advanced tips would be learning how to morph fient, slow repost into drag, drag accell mixups, toe drags, and overhead accell feint into drag. there are tons of mechanics and baits in this game however if you can do the basics well, youll do good

I fell in love with peasant builds for some reason, because of how much of a handicap it is and how much more satisfying it is to get a kill with something like a rake or a hoe, especially against a much higher level player. Consequently, whenever I switch to a 'real' weapon these days, it feels much more of a breeze.

I'm not exactly "good" but more above average player despite having like 1200+ hours, I think being on the offensive is better rather than defensive like constantly blocking and trying to gamble to get a lucky head shot.

Bruh I felt that like we have this duel like its a bit further away from the other players that are clashing each other and kept spamming their own swords hoping to get a kill XD but yeah feels bad when they kill you and your opponent that suppose to be a 1v1 friendly duel. Edit: Oh right 20!

#1 delete the 240 system and rebind your attacks to certain keys so your attacks are more accurate

I think this video sounds very intimidating for the players who just started the game, like hearing you have to practice for hours etc., well this is reality but we don't have to scare them with these bunch of mechanics. They will mostly play agaisnt people like themselves, so let's not discourge them.

i just got the game from epic and i hope you can answer a question i have. im a big fan of 2 handed weapons like the battle axe and halberd. are these worth using over a 2 handed sword? it seems like most people use 2 handed swords and im the only one running around with an axe. are they bad or just not meta?

Just be a 500 kg bedridden sweatlord with 10000 hours in the game and you will git gud eventually. Or just install scripts so you don't need to waste your life on learning every little "trick in the book" which is abusing all the exploits possible in existence.

I know I'm five months late to comment, but is there a recommended / meta set of armor to wear? I'm really struggling to figure out what armor to wear. I know lighter armor is less protective and probably makes you more agile, but sometimes I'm wearing medium armor and I'm still getting killed in one hit to the head. Thanks to anyone who offers advice; I'm absolutely terrible at this game, but I desperately want to get better. P.S. I know it isn't ideal and probably works against me, but I only know how to play with a controller. Also, what is the point of changing how you hold the weapon and does it matter if you change the style of armor in a certain armor category?

Those cheesy wacky feints that players do is really annoying and honestly is the one thing that turns me off this game.
