@Aryan Marwaha do it!!!! its just as powerful as similar 3070ti Rog Strix and Msi Raider for $500-$600 less. (I have tested the strix with 3070ti, and it puts on the exact same performance numbers with 150watt gpu) 1440p 165hz 3ms monitor is amazing too( and that's from me also owning a 0.5ms as well). The only downsides are that you must crank the fans to stay cool, and those fans are LOUD. Also, to get full power, you must restart the computer to enable/disable GPU only mode.

Yeah got one as well... for the price its great but I would pay a bit of a premium for a similar specced legion but not 300 more haha... only real thing I would have liked is a 16:10 aspect ratio that the legion and the lenovo tuning software and bios is better but for 970 I can't complain too much.

I legit just put an order in for the nitro 5 2023 with the I-5 12500h, 4050 6gb, 16gb ddr5, 512 nvme, FHD for $949 ($50 off) on new egg. Then I checked another channels best deals laptop website, and online at Best Buy for $999 was the laptop I just mentioned with the AMD cpu. How the fuck is it that cheap? I think best buy fucked up. It’s says it’s on sale from $1300 to $999, but on acer website a similar build with 32gb of ram (legit only difference) is $2300!!! Did I just get the deal of the decade here lol?!?

My solution is repaste the stock thermal paste with Honeywell ptm 7950 or TFX/SYY-157/NT-H2/TF8 ( spread ), when gaming set the fan to 4500-5000rpm is enough.

These GPUs are extremely powerful dont think that other brands dont have this loudness in FPS games. Only option is using headset or speakers

The 3070 Ti version with the i7 had a mounting frame for a 2.5" drive, but I can't see from our pictures if it sported the connectors. It might be a cost-cutting thing. But I agree, it is a delightful gaming machine, after all!

I just got one with an 11800H and 3070 for 1200 euros 144hz. Feels like a very good deal to me.

I'm considering the same here in the UK. I've looked at a lot of laptops even 4060 variants and this one hits all the mark with QHD 3070ti, DDR5 and Mux switch. for a grand it's a no brainer. I'm still holding out till Black friday in the UK to see if there is anything really temping for this price point, I just hope this doesn't sell out

I bought it for about the same price (1100 USD) and it runs everything in 2k, Warzone, Fortnite everything you want, it's really worth I love my nitro 5 ❤

I will double check, but since the USB-Cs are not directly wired to the dGPU, I think the only way to get Gsync is via HDMI.

They just got back to me and you should be able to get adaptive sync and gsync compatible via the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 as well.

I bought this for Starfield as well but this thing is a crazy Jet Engine on Fire. Like he mentioned you need a good headset to dampen the sound of dual 7000 rpm fans in Performance Mode. Make sure to turn the MUX mode on in NitroSense(Discrete GPU Only) to turn the AMD iGPU off for a 10-15% FPS boost. Example FPS running 1080p ULTRA in Cyberpunk with no DLSS/FSR is 89 FPS AVG and CPU Temp stays around 85c w/ GPU around 70's.

@@_ghr0_ I ended up returning it for a M16 R1 Alienware because of the CPU temp issue. You're probably good but 85c is what I was getting for a simple game like Valhiem and even got up to 90c. I know AMD chips will crash once they hit 95c. It just worried me a little since the rule of thumb is 80 to 85c is bad for the CPU long term.

@@MrThemateusize AMD processors generally do run warmer than Intel processors but Intel processors can get hotter. On my Alienware which has a I9 runs in the 70 to 80c while playing Starfield. It depends on so many factors though not just the CPU.

Then I would probably take those into consideration as well. You will not get a crazy amount of additional performance, but if you can get the newer platform for the same or a little bit more, then that is what I would do!

I've seen people say that year they were a lot more competitive with the legion 5i pro? wasnt feeling going down to a 16" screen but it was new and boxed for only £250 more. Did i make a mistake?

The CPU and GPU share their heat pipes, so this is quite normal behaviour!

The Cyborg only allows its 4060 about 55W, which will significantly hurt performance. So I would probably go for the Acer!

It is only really loud in performance mode. In the balanced mode, which gives you almost the same performance, it is much more reasonable and very competitive.

This AMD model(AN515-46) has a second m.2 SSD slot but according to the documentation it's only a PCIe 4.0 2X which means that it's only able to go up to 3,940MB/s. The main slot is PCIe 4.0 4x taken up by a Micron 3400 m.2 SSD (6600 mb/s read) that is nearly identical to a Crucial P5 Plus.

@@NotebookcheckReviews oh yeah man, I canceled the 4050 Intel i5 for this 3070ti 6800h, ordered it yesterday at noon right after I canceled the order. Free shipping got it today by noon lol. The thing is a beast!! The screen is sooo much better and I can always upscale/dlss for better fps or even just drop down to 1080p in certain games. The color gamut is much better on this display, they are rich and deep, compared to faded like. Super glad I got this one. I’ve just basically set it all up today and got it all up to date as I’ve been busy until 9pm, but I’m so pumped to see how this thing plays. Btw it did come with everything advertised, the keyboard is actually pretty damn clicky and responsive as well, and the power brick is a 280w brick, and is pretty damn big lol. I’ve seen people say these werent made in 2023, everything I’ve read says this came out in Feb 2023, at least with this exact configuration I got, my packaging with the warranty stuff, says Manufacture date 2/13/2023 fwiw. So they are still making them new and yes this thing is def brand spanking new, all original packaging. Complete fresh install of windows, had to wait a while to get to set up, compared to when it’s a reset Pc and the set up pops up instantly for windows. So fwiw they are still making these into 2023 for now at least.

For people that read my original comment, this deal is legit, I received this laptop 2 days early (literally in 24 hours), and it is exactly as advertised, unreal price right now. I would not wait if you are in the market for a solid gaming laptop that isn’t going to cost $2500. What a deal this thing was, and it does have mux switch just manual no advanced Optimus but I’m ok with that lol. Please if anyone has questions I’ll gladly answer, so stoked about this one!!

Anyway it ran games ok but only had 4gb of vram and I was up into the $800-$1000 price point anyway, so I brought that back a week later, then ordered from new egg, then cancelled, then ordered the one I have now. Yes so it was quite and adventure lol.

It comes down to what you prefer personally. The TUF looks a little cleaner and should also be a bit slimmer and lighter, and you get the latest RTX 4000 features. The Nitro will have more pure CPU grunt and, of course, a higher res display.

Do you mean the 3070ti? And yes, it's in the middle between the 4060 and the 4070. If you do not want the additional RTX4000-specific features (frame-gen, additional hardware cores, etc.), then the 3070ti could be a good deal.

It is manageable, especially in the lower performance modes and on battery. Just do not play games in the highest performance levels, and you should be fine! ;)

Hey man, apparently there is a way to lower the cpu temperature without losing a noticeable amount of fps. Check out "how to disable turbo boost for better cpu temperatures", it may help you with 10 to 15°C less at this model

@@ddotmars ive had the 1650 one for a around 4 and a half years, Its seen some performance decrease over the years but the fan noise is absolutley atrocious as always.

I have the 2021 model of this (AN515-45) w/ 5600h & RTX 3060 with the same cooling system. If you run laptops unhinged in performance mode at 95c all the time it's gonna kill the lifespan. I capped mine to 3.5Ghz to make sure the CPU doesn't go past 81/82c at max load and it only decreased my FPS in Cyberpunk by 1 avg while also improving my 1% lows drastically making the game smoother. This also effects the GPU temp because the pipes are connected and my GPU is commonly 65c at 100% load. Companies want you to run in these high end modes without warning so you can buy a new computer more often..
