Love this thanks for doing the tag. Love the answers and thanks for doing it together. Cass Daley is a genius move. Makes me want to do a different video about hidden comedy actors from the past. I'm a big fan of Tilda Swinton too, she's awesome. Can't wait for the film about Dr Jennie. Dr Jennie's political choice was fantastic. Dylan was a great choice. I'm actually a big Shostakovich fan too - my taste might be very very similar to Dr Jennie's (does she like Bemis?).....the influence response was lovely and personal. Fantastic video guys. Would love to meet up sometime. Big hugs.

The three main takeaways from this video were: 1) All of your answers were fantastic and interesting, and I love Robert E Howard too 2) "Gussy" was one hell of a strong and wonderful woman 3) Dr. Jennie merch is a definite winning idea! (Roy merch would be great too)

It's always good to know that fellow Texan Robert E. Howard continues to be a favorite across the pond and elsewhere. Since joining booktube continue being surprised by how much circulation George Eliot's Middlemarch is getting. Hard to find a youtuber who isn't talking about her. I read it in the 90's after watching the BBC series. I liked the book, it's good. But the mini series I often re-watch.

Jennie's mother and grandmother sound like great women (as dr. Jennie herself, of course ;-)). To think of all those women who worked so hard and often had so little for themselves and/or hardly any recognition for what they did... makes me sad.

I’d rather listen to Nina Hagen than Bob Dylan. I have a lot of Nina Hagen records. I think Lena Lovitch was the American Nina Hagen as I remember correctly.

Nina Hagen is aces! I've always known about her but never really listened. A chance watch of a video on here - her doing a sublime and crazy live version of 'Ballroom Blitz' - started me off on a deep dive. I'd agree that Lene Lovich had a similar vibe.

@@royreadsanythingA friend of mine (who has a large collection of vinyl) told me that Nina Hagen did a duet with Nana Mouskouri. Just rewatched it and it’s completely different, but so sweet. It’s a duo I didn’t expect.
