Күн бұрынI recently finished reading the Fear of Freedom by Erich Fromm, and I would say the book was a solid 6.5 out of 10. Nothing too different from other psychoanalyst works, sprinkled with a few cool ideas here and there.

Have you read this book, what are your thoughts?

I thought it was bit repetitive because I have already read his other book Escape From Freedom in which he discuss problems of modern world from both economic and psychological view points, but even though he discuss few points like moral isolation, few basics concepts of Max weber theory of capitalist theory inspired from Calvanist doctrines, unconscious working behind the minds of both masses and rulers. Compared to this book(Fear of Freedom),he explained his thoughts more clearly in Escape From Freedom.

By The Way have you read The book "Why Men fight?" by Bertrand Russell.

@@bommasaisiddhartha776 yeah if you look at escape from freedom on amazon you can see all the chapters are the same. The publishers just chaged the name.

Is it really worth it to study Roman Empire also can you please suggest me a good book on roman empire and Julius Caesar(which covers his statergy and tactics and also biography) i will be very thankful brother if yoi could answer my question ♥️

It is worth having a basic overview if you wanted to be well rounded in history. But I don't think there is anything in roman history that you cannot learn elsewhere. I would recommend studying it though. Try adrian goldsworth, he has a ton of books on roman history.
