Excellent review. i just wanna know : there is any method to use cura or another slicer besides the tronxy one? cause it's not very accurate with the time and the supports (I'm a begginer in 3d print)

For everyone asking about the slicer settings. There are instructions on the SD card that comes with the printer. You can download treat software then transfer all the settings into cura.

There is a small potentiometer on the control board for each stepper driver that you can turn.

Have you ever had a problem with the heated bed? I saw that some users reported having trouble printing because the bed did not warm enough, it has problems warming to temperatures above 90 ° C. Could I replace the hot tronxy bed with one of the same size as the anet? with these specifications: Voltage: 12V Power: 120W Resistance: 1.2 Ohm to 12V Maximum temperature: 180 ° C Dimensions: 220 x 220 x 3mm Material: Aluminum
@3DNow
@3DNow 5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I had no problems with the bed, but I only printed at 60C. I'm not sure if you can just put the anet bed straight on. There will probably be some tinkering, but it may fit.

Hey, thanks a lot for your video, it was really helpfull. I have actually been looking forward to buying the Ender-3 for the past few days and watched a lot of videos to make up my mind on it. Btw, I am a total newb to 3d printing. But I wanted to know do you think it would be worth it to get the Tronxy XY-2 today, since it's price is now even 5 euros cheaper than the Ender-3. I have actually just stumbled upon this one since almost no one has talked about it. Thank you very much for your video!!!

I'm new to this 3D printing scene. My brother bought me this printer and the instructions are not very good. Is there somewhere to find operation instructions. I was able to build the printer, I did the leveling procedure, the preheating is simple but how hot do you pre heat etc. I added files to the included chip and the system displayed the printing progress but the system is not printing.

@@abbyzhang2909 Hi I have some questions and maybe you can answer them as I saw that you have some relation with this printer. First ¿How accurate is the time reported by the slicer to the real printing time? I have two printers, one of them, apparently not take into account the accelerations, even if they are enabled in Cura. I have observed that it use a travel acceleration of 130mm/s^2, no matter what I do, meaning that the estimated time is too far from the real one, they use to be 30%,40%, or even more, than the estimations given by Cura or gcodeanalyser using the parameters that the printer shows in the panel. For example if Cura and gcodeanalyser estimate 13h 35 minutes, the printer will spend 19h 10m, but when I use in gcodeanalyser a travel acceleration of 130mm/s^2 I got consistently the times that the printer spent. The firmware of the machine is closed source, but no answer of them about this issue with their firmware. This not happen with my other printer, an Anet A8. With the same model and same print speed configurations and with almost the same printing time estimations, the Anet A8 is a lot faster, and with Cura and gcodeanalyser I got a more reliable printing time estimations. It need to be a shame that the compare point is a printer like the Anet A8. Then, ¿can you said something about this on the tronxy xy-2? ¿Firmware? Is based on marlin or is a "closed source" one. ¿Customer Service? ¿How responsive they are? Because I haven't had good results with the above machine. They are good to sell but not to answer why they lie with the specifications. It is a machine with a 32 bit board, but that doesn't means that do a better job than an 8 bits one, mostly because a poor firmware development process. Even I don't think they do benchmarks to corroborate their affirmations. Thanks for your attention. And for the channel owner, have you observed this issue with this printer or with the Ender 3, or the times are more accurate (given the correct parameteres). Thanks.

Hi! This printer uses a custom Tronxy board, so I'm not sure what processor it uses. I'm guessing it is open source because it uses marlin with a custom touchscreen UI. Also, it does not have auto leveling. Thanks for your comment!

I wonder which one is better, Ender 3s and Tronxy xy 2, it have same price, tronxy has a lot of cool stuff: arm controller, touch screen, filament sensor, power off sensor, bed leveling sensor, which is lack from ender 3s. With the same price and maybe lower if remove some option, I believe tronxy is a budget solution, but ender might give us a classic printer with consistent performance.
