We need an easy way to know which cars quality for the 4,000 EV credit in the used market (basically if the car has already been registered for this before in 2022 or 2023, than it won't qualify again but dealership's are not helping new owners know if the credit is denied in the future.

Hydrogen vehicles aren't available in Canada because of the filing stations and we have strict crash standards according to the ministry of transportation

Yes, not a single person in the video told you how you get the money is it a check? Is it a rebate? Is it a refund?

C'mon Rivian! I was onboard until I saw that you only get HALF the credit. What are they offshoreing? The batteries?! (Would explain the range)

A “used vehicle under $25k” does not answer dilemma I am getting from a dealer. He says it is the “asking” price as original chosen by the dealer, and tax credit is not controlled by the final OTD purchase price. So a dealers sale price posted of $25,001 would NOT qualify for getting used clean vehicle tax credit, even if the dealer knocks off one dollar. 1:54 Dealer is adamant despite me sending copy of federal law/notices. Hmmmm

Why are cars like the Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEV able to get the full tax credit, but they are produced in Italy. We dint have a free trade agreement with Italy.

I would like to see a bigger tax credit on EV's. More like 15-20k that would help incentivize more people to go electric. To reach our goals of an electrified future we should be afforded a larger break.

They would just jack up the car prices… wouldn’t make any difference except for wasting money.

That's a pipe dream if I've ever seen one! We honestly should be lucky to get Anything off the top, though it still seems like a walled garden with getting the EV credit. Or maybe I'm just missing something.

@@nicholaslasky3754 Right, but if prices of EV's can be regulated and we receive the tax credit it would be a win-win for everyone. Manufacturers would sell higher volume of EV's and consumers can make their switch sooner. Most consumers want to make the switch to electric and this will make it easier for them.

@@ChipsCST The Treasury Department recently said they are making it easier for people to get their credit. Now regardless of your tax liability you will be eligible to receive your tax credit. The issue now is if your tax liability is too low you might not receive the credit, but they are changing that going forward which is a big win for consumers. That will become effective Jan 1st, 2024.
