When using the Fennec, I recommend using the P890 as your secondary, since they both fire the same round, they will share ammo and will therefore give you some extra ammo per life

From personal experience, it's way too easy to run out of ammo when using the Double Tap mod, even more so than the Fennec normally does. I'd recommend running the P890 as your secondary. If you add the 12rnd Mag and Akimbo to it, you get an extra 4 mags for your DT Fennec (72 Reserve vs the normal 24) This extra ammo may let you get away with not running scavenger, which is normally a must-have with the Double Tap Fennec! If you pair the no stock with the phase 3 grip, you gain speed and sprint out without harming recoil at all, it’s actually one of the options I use consistently with it

I maxed this last night. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Flash hiders are really underrated in this game, one that helps with recoil steadiness would be better with this gun imo. They actually provide recoil bonuses, like recoil stabilization that helps with visual recoil and side to side bounce, and/or recoil steadiness that helps with vertical recoil control like the vertical grips. The actual flash hider part is really good too: makes visibility while shooting a lot better and makes the gun more pleasant to shoot because of that, while the muzzle breaks can be pretty harsh with their muzzle flash and general shakiness of the gun and camera

The most important part about the burst mag is the ability to one burst of both shots are headshots within the provided ranges. It feels like using a shotgun sometimes because you just pull the trigger and people die

The Fennec 45 was the gun I had my best games with the weekend on Shipment. It's just so snappy and it's ttk seemed to be the most consistently fast. Everything else was pretty indicernable with a crazy outlier being the Raall MG with the canted laser sight. A little bit of play adjustment and if you got in my way with that thing it was over for you. I had my biggest games with that thing and it was fun as hell. Also fun was the Bryson 800 and Deagle after grinding all auto weapons.

Because of the high rate of fire I think you'd much prefer recoil control over damage range since 1 extra bullet to kill isn't that big of a deal when your rpm is almost 1100

Once I’m done leveling up all the guns (just have the snipers left to level up), I’ll make my class with this one using double tap. It feels really nice and that 2 round burst goes out incredibly fast and follow up bursts are fast as well.

You finally made a vid on my secret weapon. I used the burst fire to complete the 50 long range SMG kills for the prestige 1 Mastery and never turned back. The hacksaw blueprint comes almost perfectly kitted for this challenge. Love this gun

Ace, thanks for this video. I've been trying to get the "50 longshots with SMGs" prestige challenge done and have been struggling for a while with landing shots at the necessary range in this game. After watching this I got the Fennec blueprint from the Battlepass with the Double Tap mod (I think it's called Hacksaw) and tried that, but kept getting killed before I could land a second or third burst - that is until I tried putting it in single fire mode. Suddenly I'm able to land 2-4 shots to the head/neck or upper torso seemingly faster than I was able to fire 2 bursts. I don't have the Fennec leveled enough to play around with attachments, but with this blueprint as it is it has an ADS speed that feels like a marksman rifle with damage similar to a battle rifle with a fire rate cap that seems to be faster than I can pull the trigger (for context I play with controller on Xbox with the triggers flipped so my finger only has to move as far as it takes to click the shoulder button). It also has very little flinch due to being an SMG and if someone gets too close I don't even ADS because the hip fire is good enough I can just rapidly pull the trigger with my crosshairs over them and win the fight against pretty much anyone who isn't using a shotgun. It reminds me a lot of the FAL from MW2019 before they fixed the Merc foregrip and nerfed the No Stock attachment. As long as you are using it at reasonable ranges it feels like both a sniper and a sniper support weapon. The biggest downside is the ammo capacity. In three matches (about 30 minutes) I went from having 22/50 longshots to 38/50 longshots, so if you are struggling with the SMG longshot challenge like I have been and are confident in your trigger finger I highly recommend trying the Fennec with the Double Tap mod in single fire mode. The fennec is very fun, I used the double tap mod when going for longshots. But thought that it kinda sucked at longer ranges and I see why now, it's weird that it gives you a great boost to your ranges but makes it terrible at long range. I feel like it at least should have kept a good headshot multiplyr at range

I used the Double Tap attachment. It's great for flanking/ninja stealth build. I would add Scavenger or Munitions Box. I had fun using the Double Tap, currently for the 1st battle pass in A10 there's a Fennec blueprint called Hacksaw it has the Double Tap attachment

The Fennec is an amazing gun and possibly the most fun to shoot. I can't count the times I hear "no way" or "whhaaatt the“ from the other killed players. Smokes them. Great videos XA always eager to watch.

I just wish they would make the body of the gun, the part ahead of the trigger, as thick as the vector actually is. That’s where the mechanical magic of the vector lies. The counter weight that mitigates most of the recoil as it cycles through rounds after each shot.

I haven’t tried the double tap mod but I love this gun it’s so much fun to use.

I love using this thing as a hipfire machine. Take off the stock, use the Merc (or similar) Foregrip, Hipfire Laser (the one that helps both hipfire and sprint out), 45 round mag and the Covert Ops Barrel, and this thing shreds. Plus you are super fast, which can make you an absolute terror on small maps (or on big maps, if you can flank well).

Are you considering doing more attachment breakdowns? For example muzzle attachments and their ads and range properties? With the fennec the question is what range values silencers give versus barrels as the barrels make it quite slow.

I hope you cover the FTAC first in the battle rifle line. I made a very fun and effective build where I built it towards speed (aim down sight speed and sprint to fire speed).

Nice to know it has the fastest ADS speed because that means you can use more bullet velocity attachments to compensate and make it more well rounded.

Interesting thing to test. today I was grinding my riot shield to Orion and noticed at times melee hits were inconsistent. I know its supposed to be three but I had times where it took 4 hits on crouching opponents and I even had a guy laying prone that took 6 hits to kill. I'd chalk it up to lag but it was giving me the hitmarkers meaning my hits were registering. I was curious if testing this inconsistency could yield results. Keep up the good worrk Ace.

Try the Fennec "Hacksaw" blueprint, it's the only SMG build with a "Sniper" pro tune and it really does reach out and touch people much much farther and more accurate than most SMG builds.

I love to turn the fennec into a long boi, especially in warzone. Basically the "Hacksaw" blueprint but with the 45 round mag. Not rly an smg anymore, but damn it looks good and feels good (apart from the horrible ads speed).

I've loved using the double tap mod

For some reason it feels like it’s better than the MW2019 version. It felt really good to use but could use some small buffs. The 8 shot kills need to be removed and the headshot multiplier could use a slight buff. The double tap mod also needs that weird last damage drop off fixed so it doesn’t take so many shots

It wasn’t mentioned but based on the stats. It appears you can get a 2 shot kill with the Double Tap Mod with headshots. With some math it appears 55ms would be the 2 shot ttk.

Just got it gold a few days ago my new fav gun

i like running the longest barrel available and suppressor that increasea range to extend the 4 and 5 shot kill range as much as possible. downside is ads is atrocious but if u can deal with the ads it absolutely shreds. as soon as i started using it i started going off hitting 20+ killstreaks multiple times.

you should do a tier list after each gun category

I usually play tier 1 and I use the double tap mod and click it down to a single shot. I find that you can really stretch out the range quite a bit.

I'd like to see what the ranges are after the longest barrel and suppressor and double tap mod lol.

Burst-fire smg connoisseur here, Liked the burst mode in mw19, like it even more in this game. I miss the ability to snipe people with it (didn't lose its 4 hit kill potential in mw19 at even countersnipe ranges iirc) but it's a bit more balanced all around now. Doesn't hurt that it's much harder to keep a good ads speed with other builds... that being said I do think that going straight from 4 hits to 8 is overkill. Burst smgs are so niche that they really didn't have to keep it in check any more, the 12 round mag is enough

Range fennec: use the burst attachments but replace the muzzle with the ZLR 16.5 barrel. Better range and bullet velocity along with not loosing pretty much any ads time

Double tap was a god send when it came to getting longshots with it.

I noticed recently that some attor rifles default to semi auto and others drfault to full auto (which is an awful pot oike an assault rifle) and wonder if the damage changes make some of the choices actually interesting

Honestly kinda wish subsonics were an available choice for some other guns like the ARs. I like being sneaky and I think it would be pretty cool

I think the two major reasons mire people don’t use them is the fact that our operators only carry two spare clips and that the reload that’s forever.

Lately I’ve found really good success with opting for muzzles that purely help horizontal recoil. But I also play kbnm so it’s very easy to control vertical recoil

hey... want to know what runs faster than fenec and knife combined ? make a custom weapon blueprint using already excisting one, use your own parts and tunings, save it, use it on your loadout, now it should say that you are using the "pro -tuned" tunings on your own loadout, go to firing range and the weapon will most likely load in as an invalid weapon and not load and you can move around unarmed, works the best with mp7s myth maker BB, the game permanently unloads you primary tho until you switch loadouts/make it just the base gun just a word of warning

I do LOVE the Fennec. It and Hurricane are my two favorite SMG's in the game. Double tap can be an interesting way to run the gun, though I tend to run it with one of the longer barrels. I've also been seeing most players that run SMG's are using the fennec in my personal experience. Either the Fennec, MP7 or MP5. In that order usually. The P90 and hurricane don't come up that often, but do pop up now and again. And I never see anyone using the BAS-P. Not that I blame them. The thing needs a buff somewhere, it gets outclassed by everything. I still haven't even ground out the levels because I just die so much.

Hey ace, I have a question involving the kastov 762 and the rpk. I'm enjoying both but rpk seems a bit better. As far as damage profiles, I almost always slap a suppressor on to extend range, but lmgs have better ranged damage than assault riffles yeah? I feel like maybe trying to drop the suppressor on the rpk

Ok, question: If we modify the bullet velocity of a subsonic gun (we put a longer barrel, or a supressor that increases bullet velocity, or high velocity ammo) will we lose the subsonic benefits (no tracers, enemy skulls not showing)?
