Breathtakingly Beautiful!!!! Forza Ferrari!!!!

i used to live near the area and I used to drive around for hours and sometimes id run into one of those beauties, then id proceed to lose my shit and after a while id have to pull over and collect my thoughts, I'm not ashamed to admit I cried tears of joy when I saw one of these masterpieces drift around a roundabout, hearing the colombo v12 rawr, it was overwhelming! I love these cars and part of why I love them is the freedom that comes along with them, sure they are expensive but nowhere near as expensive as the original ones. Also, the original ones carry so much history that you can afford to jeopardize that, I couldn't anyway, their history is too precious to me. The GTO recreation allows you to be in the position they new owners of SWBs where in period, you can drive it hard take it to historic races and no worry about driving a historic artefact, you can focus on creating new history with these timeless beauties, you can continue their legacy by driving them to their limits. A clean slate. At the same time, you're able to spec it any way you want and hopefully, you'll choose a historic Ferrari livery, maybe reinterpret it, you're freed from resale red over tan which somehow applies even to the classic Ferraris. This car embodies peak car design and aesthetic, peak car driving characteristics and engagement, peak racing with the incredible endurance races of its time, and above all freedom. Freedom from Ferrari snobs, freedom from the immense responsibility of preserving a historic artifact, freedom to create new history and that's why I love these cars and why my dream car isn't a Ferrari 250 SWB but a Ferrari 250 SWB built by GTO engineering (in the spec of chassis no. 2159 GT without the spotlight in case you were wondering). I'm 19 years old and while I got my whole life ahead of me to put myself in a position to buy a GTO 250 SWB I'm honestly pessimistic as I don't know if cars like that will be available or even legal when that time comes. If you own one of these cars or any raw driver-oriented car whether it's a classic or not please, drive it, enjoy it and experience it as much as possible these cars were not built to be garage queens and a generation of future petrolheads might not be able to do what you have the opportunity to do in the future.

In my opinion the most proportionally perfect vehicle ever created. Love your videos, your enthusiasm, genuine fascination and thoughtfulness for these amazing cars.

What a sound. I'm a huge Porsche fan but the sound of that Ferrari v12 is so loveable that it rates up there with my favourite sounds.

What a great channel! I got this episode on "related" vids after I'd finished watching Harry's Garage, and at first I thought "Oh blimey, Supercar Blondie. Let me just get rid of this..." then I thought "Hold on, is that a 250SWB? And that's Jodie Kidd!" So refreshing to see someone on a car channel who both knows their stuff and can drive. My fav car of all time is the 250 tour de France but most old cars are stunning and my fav engine is the v12, what a glorious thing to listen to.

In 1968 I had the oportunity to drive this car, a 250 SWB Competition. The friend of my sister used to drive races with this car on the Nürburgring in Germany. And one sunday he came with this incredible car and visited us. I was then 19 years old and he took me on a ride on the brand new Autobahn. I was so flashed by this car, the sound, the acceleration. We drove about 30 km with full speed at 290 km/h. And then we drove back and Peter, the friend of my sister told me to drive. I was in heaven. First I drove only 160- 180 km/h but in that car it was nothing. And at last I also drove full speed. There was next to no one on the Autobahn. That car is a dream.
