In the F1 game, I have a driver career in which I drove for Ferrari. And every time they asked the typical "The aero team has made a huge advance but goes against your data", I pressed "Keep with my data" because if not, who knows what horrors would have happened 😂

One of the biggest problems with Ferrari, especially after Todt left, was that they just straight up had shite cars. You bring up the 2014 car as an example of a shit car a lot, but the cars Alonso drove in his stint at Ferrari were ALL shitboxes, especially the 2012 car, Alonso was just *that* good to drag those tractors into positions where they shouldn't be. Even when they start the season with a title contending car, by the summer break the development flatlines and if that doesn't happen, they get done for cheating, _if that doesn't happen,_ they'll make a mistake beyond comprehension in a make or break race, and if that doesn't happen, the driver will make the mistake for them. Also as a side note, The race engineers at Ferrari aren't completely useless, the chief strategist (Who has finally been sacked), was the one making the idiotic strategies.

You forgot to mention that Ferrari went against his main and - at time - current world champion driver, Raikkonen in 2008 and 2009. With Todt being out, and kimi being 2007 world champion, Montezemolo and Schumacher decided that it was time for Massa to be world champion in 2008, as a reward of the past services, and played political games. Ferrari made the technical evolution to help his driving style. It only possible in Ferrari to see a team going against his main driver (and in Williams back in the time, but at least Williams did it for money, not for sympathy for a driver) Then in 2009, they made Raikkonen responsible for the failure of the car and inability to cope with the new regulations. Remember the harrassing communication campain about his 'lack of motivation' ? Oddly, Raikkonen performed much better after Massa had his crash. The rest is history.

I mean: “they ruined all their drivers except for Schumacher”.. Are you like forgetting a few seasons from the 50s to the 2000s lol? Also like, what should you say about Williams then, and what about Lotus that is not even in the sport anymore, what about Russel right now being ruined by Mercedes, for years for example, or McLaren.. and what about RedBull: recently they “ruined” both Gasly and Albon, and in a single season! Perez now is barely holding on, but evidently they test drivers and then dump them, putting too much pressure and not giving time to learn a car made just for Max. And what about McLaren? Didn’t they ruined Alonso as well? No, just Ferrari.. ok.. McLaren insisted for years to force Honda to make the engine for the chassis and rear shapes they wanted about cooling etc, but once Honda moved to RedBull, it was a different story.. so.. didn’t McLaren also f**k up for years, ruining Alonso when he was still young and able to for sure compete as much as now? What about Vettel in Aston Martin, suddenly he just lost all of his mojo in his own, or did Ferrari actually lost time believing a driver that then was sorely beaten by an unexperienced Leclerc right away? I get it, Ferrari didn’t win in 16 years.. not like many other teams won much, between 3 eras of domination (Red Bull, Mercedes, Red Bull again). This era of F1 is highly engineering based, who gets it right at a new regulation is then years ahead of the competition for years. If Mercedes didn’t whine about porpoising forcing TD39, ‘22 would have been a different season.. People like to dish on Ferrari, but meanwhile they are always in the top 3 in the last like 25 years at least (one exception for 2020), and there are plenty of other drivers “ruined” by plenty of other teams. The fact that Ferrari is always in the top 3 make people notice every small mistake and add them up, meanwhile other teams are doing s**t and no one cares. Now, finally Vasseur has some more decisional power, and the lead strategist since 2014 is out of the team, as well as Sanchez (leader of car concept that angered Leclerc so much at the preseasons testings in ‘23). So, we will see what comes in the future.

all ok, exept fernando alonso lost it on his hand in 2010. more, the idea of the sh!tiest car of 2012 is just a PR stunt. that car won couple of races and fought for the title. this is no bad car. although is not my thing, i would say that there was some badluck in that year with belgium accident, when aloso got a good start, would have targeted a podium, enough to win at the end - just like 2017,2018, development during season was bad, yet still could have been champions if not for little error but agree. to win with ferrari you have to give 200% as driver. each race. to cover all fcks up
