My father ( of Irish descent brought up in Roscommon before spending the rest of his life in England) sang this from his wheelchair whilst being pushed home along narrow street in a town in Majorca at one in the morning. He was 95 years old, sang flawlessly and locals came out to hear him. I was not there but my sister and her husband were with him. When I hear this beautiful song it brings tears to my eyes.
