I enjoy anything with Franco Nero, & "The Fifth Cord" is a well made giallo movie, very stylish indeed in my opinion, rather than the cool hero that he"s played in many spaghetti westerns, him playing a bit of a hole made it a refreshing character in this solid giallo movie, i would give "Street law" a watch if haven"t seen with Franco Nero in, a very good Euro crime movie.

The shutters slowly going down, the creepy nursery rhythm and that narrow corridor of screams, it’s Nightmare fuel!

Very cool movie. Any movie combining Franco Nero, Ennio Morricone and Vittorio Storaro is gonna be a must watch. I recommend the Blue Underground release of the Spaghetti Western Man, Pride and Vengeance by the same creative team.

There is actually one other movie with Franco Nero that could be classified as a Giallo. Not in the traditional sense, but there are enough hallmarks of the genre in "Autostop Rosso Sangue" (Engl. Title "Hitch-Hike"), that warrant to call it as such. Franco Nero plays a very similar character to the one in "The Fifth Cord", just more despicable. Well made very dark movie that for sure isn't everybody's cup of tea.

One of the most beautifully shot gialli. The cinematography is just draw droppingly beautiful. Not much gore but tons of very well done suspense. I love this movie, so glad to have discovered it!

My daughter just got an email saying the arrow box sets she ordered from zavvi had been cancelled. Be interesting to see what happens next

@@manvfilm was waiting on it tbh. I've put a complaint in as they broke the consumer rights act by sending one item of a bogof offer and not sending the other and still charging for the item. I'm interested to see if their customer support is as bad as everyone says. So far I would say yes. They first told me it was because of a pricing error, when I pointed out the legalities of what they did they changed why they cancelled the order to the items were out of stock. They offered 50% off the box set and I came back saying sure their Web site says the items are in stock they could just fulfill the order. They said once the order was cancelled they couldn't send them. lol
