For many tourists and locals alike, the dry stone walls of Kiama’s hinterland offer a link to the past but as time progresses landowners who inherited the walls are left wondering whether they will survive for future generations to admire.

Beautiful walls and great skills. My grandparents were from Cornwall there’s mile upon mile of gorgeous wall there.

There are heaps in victoria, too, built by irish settlers, especially in the southwest.

There’s a small area of stone walls not far from Bundaberg. These were built by Kanakas in the mid to late 1800’s from memory.
