Nothing beats the original score/arrangement (with a synthesizer present along with the orchestra) on the original soundtrack, but this is really good. It captures the original, beautifully. I love the majesty of it, as well as the off-kilter waltz bit.

I was chatting with a few others a few nights ago and the movie "The Black Hole" came up. It was like remembering a bad nightmare. I remember being a child, when this movie came out. It scared the living poop out of me back then and part of that fear was the eerie music that played at the start of the film and during the movie. Thanks for bringing back a piece of my childhood..... a horrific part but, a part of my childhood none the less.
@martok21125 жыл бұрын
Heh... I could imagine a dad with a devious sense of humor whispering to his little boy or girl as the opening credits played, and we see the computer graphics rendering of a spatial plane which eventually goes toward the black hole: "Look out! It's gonna eat 'ya! Here we go!" :)

I always thought the overture and the theme music didn’t match at all, it was like something for two entirely different movies.
@imfsresidentotaku9699 Жыл бұрын
It's almost like those two pieces of music are meant to convey different tones for different scenes in the same movie, because that's what a good film score composer does. Not to mention, both cues have that distinct John Barry style.
