Ichigo yelling Bankai in this episode gives me goosebumps. Every time.

It’s worth noting that Opening 15 has 3 different versions of Ichigo powering up, the first two are his Fullbring forms and 3rd is his Soul Reaper form.

Ginjos full backstory is in a lightnovel. It was more then just the combat badge. I think they will animate it the the new seasons of Bleach, but the novel is set after the next arc so it will be a while.

Ichigo is smarter then fans or even bleach characters giving him. When he said to Ginjo that yea I knew that I just went with it I was like Ichigo is really observe everything huh. Anyway Ichigo saying Bankai will never not be Legendary the passion and the chill it gives each time he says it is just 👌

Yeah you're 100% right with the combat pass, Ukitake never had ill intentions but you just can't trust someone that came out of nowhere into the soul society and gained immense power.

Ginjo’s full story is explained in the light novels. The author probably wanted to put it in the main story, but he had to rush it a bit due to health problems. It could be shown in the anime later on, but in case not, here’s the short version (spoilers in case the DO adapt the novels or if you plan on reading them): Ginjo had helped many Fullbringers who didn’t want their powers, because it’s explained that substitute soul reapers can absorb their powers. He also found out about the combat pass long before going rogue, but he decided to give the Soul Society the benefit of the doubt. It wasn’t until someone from Soul Society (Ukitake was NOT involved) sent an assassin to kill his Fullbringer friends and companions. Then they tried to kill Ginjo, who killed the assassin out of anger and a desire for vengeance. That’s when things began to go the way we know, and Ginjo wanted to get revenge against the Soul Society.

There's even more context for Ginjo's beef with Soul Society that's covered in a light novel. Basically it turns out that Ginjo did want to give the Soul Society the benefit of the doubt, but then a Soul Reaper sent by someone from Soul Society killed all of Ginjo's friends, and he killed the Soul Reaper in defense and anger

There was a Bleach light novel release recently called "can't fear your own world", the novel is canon and it fully reveals Ginjo's motivations. Back when Ginjo was a substitute shinigami he had a group of friends that were also fullbringers. Those were the fullbringers who wanted to get rid of their power and so they gave it to Ginjo. At some point Ginjo discovered that the substitute badge is basically a surveillance device which was suspicious, but he was still willing to give the soul society the benefit of the doubt... At least until someone from the SS sended an assassin to kill all of Ginjo's friends and Ginjo himself. After witnessing his friend's deaths Ginjo killed the assassin out of fit of rage and went into hiding. He suspected that the culprit was Ukitake sense he was the one who gave him the badge. He felt betrayed and so he vowed revenge against the SS. If you listen to the back story of Tsukishima he gave to Ichigo, you'll realize it's actually a fabricated version of Ginjo's backstory. That's why he asked in the end, if the timing was different, would Ichigo had gone rogue too? It's interesting to think what might've happened if ichigo witnessed the same with his friends. Ginjo is like a dark mirror version of Ichigo.

I personally like this Bankai form over the previous one.

I always love how BLEACH was exact 366 episodes. It you watched an episode everyday (during a leap year), you could watch the entire series in a year to the date. That will soon change though

in the comments, everyone is defending Ukitake and Soul Society, but no one thought that these people used ichigo to hunt down Ginjou. If Ginjou wanted to, then those close to Ichigo would have suffered at his hands. But Soul Society didn't care and used Ichigo as bait. If not for Urahara, I doubt that they themselves would have decided to return his Shinigami powers
