Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate Part 8 - the final king showdown. King mode makes the final boss have double the HP as usual, meaning my normal aggressive strategy is now too slow. Will I be able to adapt, overcome, and beat this brutal challenge?

I think at 7:15 when you're analyzing checkmate potential you forgot you had august presence and the queen can't move next to you EDIT: Aha you realize right after winning, that works :D EDIT: 'and you think you've lost your poisoning, enjoy bullet poisoning'

The big king has 46 HP because subtle poison not only takes hp away from the queen, but it also takes 1 hp from kings which becomes minus two because the deduction is doubled too

@@eden3669 I made a mistake, BK's starting HP is 23 which in Throne mode is doubled to 46. Subtle Poison and Throne Room do not seem to affect BK.

@@leemccain Nope. The ending has a split depending on the situation in which you end the fight. I won't give any more hints than that though.

Oh, you think *this* is the true final boss? There's a bishop-related secret you have yet to unlock... Also, you should try to see how far you get in Endless mode sometime. And maybe try out some mods, if you're interested.

Aliensrock: blunderbus is fun but not good me who had two blunderbuses in one run and destroyed everything on my way: it might by king mode but COME ON IT'S AMAZING

There should be a new difficulty: True chess, enemies start with all the typical chess pieces (including a queen). The boss gains extra HP again and moves more often. Lastly, you lose your folly shields, any mistake is game over.

Slight spoiler - that i otherwise wouldn't give out except for the fact you've done every other thing. I know i'd want to know how to progress when i've reached a dead end in non-obscure progress As a tip for that "last thing", one of the two things you need requires 2 bishops to exist in the enemy formation, as such, you see it far more often on very hard compared to the other difficulties. (i'd still not recommend trying for it on king)

@@feha92 Full spoiler below: theocracy only shows up if there are 2 bishops on the field, otherwise it *cannot* show up as an option. Keep in mind, it's not guarenteed to show up if there are 2 bishops, but if you're trying to safely search for a rare drop. It helps to have it in the possible options that can appear. Ideally red book drops first into theocracy, but it helps to know that crusades, an otherwise great choice, ruins your goal entirely. you can also increase your odds by getting cardinal first, as then you have both options in the pool. It makes sense to cripple bishops (in terms of numbers) if you want to have these 2 items, but crippling them makes it impossible to drop so it's something that's very important to know. lastly for anyone else who just wants to be told, you need to win the king battle with a bishop alive, or nothing will trigger.

try beating the secret boss. here is how you do it: get the bishops equals king card and the red book card. defeat the big white king at floor 12 with EXACTLY 1 bishop left. the ending when you beat the secret boss depends on if you have at least 1 ammo loaded in the shotgun. good luck!

Not completely. He is in that awkward situation where he somehow recognises that it blocks pawns from advancing on him and actively uses it in his strategy but at the same time he completely forgets it also blocks rooks and Queens from checking him at point blank range.

Yeah, as other people are saying, there's a harder challenge. There's actually a hint as to how to unlock it in the story sequence after you win a run.

This is how to unlock the secret end(you'll need a red book and theocracy upgrade for the white and in the last fight, you have to leave 1 bishop at full health after you kill the big king)

hey tyler, having beaten king mode, try and get/beat the black bishop, theres a special card that you can get after taking red book or some complicated thing about bishops, its a harder final boss.

This game looks' amazing, but I cant play it. I bought it (I bought it on steam if that helps) , but whenever I hit play, it loads to a black screen with a white line on it before I get a message that the game is not responding.
