If there was one thing this show needed more than anything, its fight choreography

Before the Avengers, this is what we had AND WE WERE GRATEFUL!

I loved this show, but even back then, I couldn't help but shake my head at the Peter vs. Syler scene. Peter could call on a combination of over a dozen powers, including Syler's telekinesis and he goes with "Punch in the face a few times."

This show is the definition of missed opportunity.

Always bothered me how Sylar could stop Parkman's bullets that were aimed at his back, but he just let Hiro run him through with a sword AFTER Hiro gets his attention by shouting his name.

I hated that Peter never used any of his like 20 powers... most useless OP character

It was pretty disappointing to see them all finally come together, and Nikki only gets one hit in.

This should have been a much longer and more epic fight than what we got.

This will forever be my favorite scene of Heroes. All of the main character's united at Kirby Plaza after a whole season of building up their interconnected stories was brilliant. I just wish that Sylar had stayed dead and the show wouldn't have lost it's way :/ .

The first season of Heroes will go down as one of the best of all time.

By the way: according to all the sources I've read when Peter starts beating Sylar after Niki saves him he's using her Super Strength.

I love how Hiro shows up and the blade is facing away from Sylar only to magically change to the opposite direction when they cut to the high angle shot.

No ending was as sick as this one.

I loved this fight. Niki grabbing the parking meter from Sylar's hands had me on the edge of my seat!!

“You think I’m going to let you ruin it all - take all the glory?” is such a good foreshadow. He’s implying that Peter will be the one who blows up, which he does.

I really loved that woman with an alter ego, wished she had more exposures in that series.

If only we could go back and start over from season 2. Man did Tim destroy his creation!

This first season was GOLD!!!

The first season of this show was fantastic. But they painted themselves into a corner by giving too much power to too many characters. Sylar and Peter were essentially invulnerable, and that evaporates too much of the tension.

It had its ups and downs, but i miss this show

Season 1 was near flawless!! There should have been different cast and stories each season, like True Detective rather than follow the same cast throughout the entire show. Perhaps the different cast and original cast could even meet up at some point to work together against a really powerful threat.

If the original cast ever wanted to make more seasons of this, I'd be cool with that

The saddest part of this scene is the fact that, with the control Sylar is established to have over telekinesis at this point in time, he could literally not lose this fight unless he's a complete idiot, or Peter either A: displayed a similar control over telekineses (which he did not) or B: used some sort of ranged energy attack (like a concentrated radiation burst) against him. Which was well out of what peter could do with his lack of control.

Heroes of the best TV shows. Heroes are a legacy in my soul, good against evil this eternal opposition.

2:00 O que eu acho legal em Heroes é que a história dos personagens é narrada separadamente para que, no final, todos eles se encontrem numa cena épica. Porém, essa cena tinha muito mais potencial. Foi realmente muito curto e rápido. Deveriam ter explorado mais os poderes do Peter.

Sylar's an INTJ, Peter is an ENFP . They Both use "Intuitive Aptitude"(silly title) but Peter uses it subconsciously(means 'instinctively' for you whom are somehow oblivious to the layers of your psyche) to passively and harmlessly incorporate the exotic faculties of special people that he encounters. Sylar's employment of this faculty is heavily compelled by instinct(which is why it manifests as insatiable Hunger) but only activated by epiphany-like inspiration. Such inspiration is functionally the same as instinct but comes from an inverse direction within one's consciousness, rather than ascending from the subconscious it descends from above what's ordinarily the surface realms of consciousness, descending from above the place in which one's sense of self is generally centred(making it actual intuition, as opposed to instinct which relies on biological memory and impulses). It's this difference in their power's manifestation which makes Sylar feel like his actions are justifiable response to the call of divine compulsion. It's a "High" for Sylar, his riding concentric waves of epiphany after epiphany in the act of analyzing and understanding/incorporating new faculties into his being. Hence his reference to Abraham Maslow's the peak experience/"flow state". Though his method is a violent and deadly extraction of desired faculties, to him it is by divine providence that he is compelled to act, thus ethical boundaries are secondary to his "divine right" as a being on the forefront of man's evolution. The difference in functionality is different for the two, Peter absorbs easier but Sylar processes what he absorbs to an extent that renders precision manipulation, superior articulation of greater efficiency in employing newly obtained faculties. This is why Sylar is generally superior to Peter, even when they are using the very same power to face off against each other. Peter only got the edge on Sylar in their conclusive battle of Season one because Nikki Sanders came to rescue him and by her proximity allowed Peter to attain her Super Strength(which Sylar did not also acquire because he needed to explicitly focus on the task of acquisition in order to attain new powers).
