Not for the first time, since the very recent passing of our dear brother David Pawson, has the music in his intro in these series, truly tugged at one's heartstrings. Apart from the Lord of course (and my wife) when I get to Glory, for I am in the promises of God getting into heaven guaranteed. Then I hope to seek out and find my beloved brother David Pawson and shake his hand.

As much as i appreciate and admire David for his theology, as i have done for many years. I was left feeling rather deflated and questioning my own salvation as it seems "anyone" who is a believer can have it taken away for not living up to the high calling. Im not perfect, by a long shot but as far as i am aware jesus said " no one will snatch them out of my hand", nor also out of the Fathers hand. When i was saved 32 yrs ago i knew i was Gods child and that i belonged to him from then. Ive been since then through a period of been backslidden, but Abba Father brought me back. I have to say i know that once God has touched you, you belong to him forever

Your right no one can snitch you out of his hand... But we have freewill to decide to jump out(backsliding)... And when were out of his hand hell is destined for us... JESUS himself said a lukewarm Christian will be spit out and cut asunder... So PLEASE dont believe satans lie... We have power to overcome... I know its HARD... But that's what we have to do sacrifice our lives for eternity in the kingdom of GOD... And not left in hell for eternity..

@@colincollinsuk3866 Thats great to hear. I read your comment from 6 years ago! And I can relate to your words. I stumbled upon the late Dave Pawson videos and i question my salvation. I understand that it isn't by works that we are saved but Mr. Pawson outlined from the book of Matthew that we must doing something for the Lord. I will admit i hardly ever share the gospel with folks, I recently attended a church in person. I read scripture and my prayer life is weak. I do feel I am lazy in the faith and perhaps don't know God as i should... to only die and hear the words, "Jim i never knew you." The possibility of hell scares the day lights out of me! Anyway I am truly working out my salvation and I pray God sees that and will honor that. Well glad to hear you are fine and i hope you are still walking on the narrow path being saved daily until that day when we will be truly saved.

Great video.. Why so many have taking EVERY little thing out of context in the bible... And have twisted scriptures to fit what they want to believe... Why dont people take God's word for what it is absolute TRUTH.... Every WORD... And its easy to understand... As the HOLY SPIRIT enlightens and gives us a clearer understanding...

I've a born again Christian' and died and experienced hell...many Christian's have experienced hell. It's horrifying, beyond words to describe. The Lord has divinely brought people into my hell who have experienced hell. I had the most amazing intimate walk with jesus, there are many?

@@philipbuckley759 Hell is an english word that means 'to cover' (as in helmet - to cover the head). It has no place being in Scripture and has been *removed* from many recent translations. The original Hebrew/Greek words are used instead and they don't mean what you would like them to. Therefore, I repeat my original question.

You raise an interesting question and let me say I do not believe the Bible provides answers every such questions. Some answers we will need to wait and see My own view is that if the Bible does not answer a specific question then its not important - but thats just personal opinion So what does the Bible say about this the whole section is a difficult passage to fully understand? There are a couple of other passages (Jude 6, 1 Peter 3.19) linked to the same theme of rebellious angels. In 2 Peter 2.4 the NIV refers to these rebellious angels being sent to hell. There is though a footnote indicating that the word Peter uses is ‘tartarus’ which is a word from Greek mythology indicating the underworld, the dark abyss. Tartarus is only mentioned here in the Bible. I suggest that this as a place may be linked to hell but not the final destination, for the final judgment (Rev 20.11-15) has not yet taken place - that awaits Jesus’s Second Coming. So here are demons awaiting their final end, and they are imprisoned until that day. It's also clear there are some rebellious angels who continue to be very active serving Satan, so there appears to be a division among the rebellious angelic/ demonic order that is not fully explained in scripture. There appears to be some intermediate state for the rebellious angels. There is also an intermediate state for believers when they die referred to in the OT as Sheol. Jesus said to the Thief on the cross you will be with me today in Paradise - NIT heaven - so it appears believers go to a place linked to heaven for they are in the presence of the Lord etc but they await their final resurrection body for the new heavens and new earth. The Bible tells us what we need to do to inherit Eternal life and if we stick to that then everything else is not important and we can leave that to the Lord to worry about The English translation of the word used in 2Peter 2.4 is not Hell the final resting place

Luke 16:19-31 is the 5th parable in a series of parables that start in chapter 15. It is NOT literal, as should be obvious to anyone with even a small amount of contextual understanding.

@@philipbuckley759 Are you saying that details make it literal? The rich man's clothes and the mention of 5 brothers should tell you who he represents. It's a parable. Lazarus is the Greek for Eliezer, Abraham's gentile servant who would have inherited: are you getting the picture?

Where do the unbelievers go when they die if not hell? I’m confused on that. The story of the rich man and Lazarus tells us that the rich man was in a place of torment and fire wanting Lazarus to come and touch his tongue with water. They’re separated from the Lord, not present like the dead believer, so where are they if not hell now?

But Dr Pawson, what about the scripture that says, "No One can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him". This seems to tell me that coming to Jesus is not ones choice but a calling from the Father. Secondly the Scripture found in 1 Corinthians 15:22 says, "As in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive". What does this scripture mean? The next verse seems to qualify verse 22. Verse 23 says, "But each one in his own order". In the Book of Revelation we see that Hell will in future be emptied and all in Hell will appear before the White Throne where books will be opened and people judged according to what is in the books. Right there in the White Throne, the Book of Life will also be opened, and the Bible says those not found written in the Book of Life will be thrown into the Lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). This scripture seems to suggest that there will be people from Hell who will not be thrown into the Lake of fire. The question is, what is the Lake of Fire? The Bible calls it The Second Death. Let us briefly look at the seconds of the Bible. There is first Adam and Second (Last Adam). The last Adam came to undo all the works of the first Adam. There is the First (Old) Testament and the Second (New) Testament. Again the New did, in a way, undo what the Old did. The first death of the sinner leads him/her to Hell, and following Biblical principle, the second death (Lake of Fire) I believe is there to undo what Hell did. The Bible also tells us that the Lord Jesus will eventually wipe away DEATH from this universe. Rather than believing in eternal punishment in Hell, I believe in Magnitude of the Victory that Jesus did at Calvary. When a Tyre of the car loses its threads, it is still a Tyre, but it is of no use to be used as a tyre; it is perished, but it can be made useful again by a process called re-threading. I believe that the Lake of Fire is a place of retreading humankind. Have you thought about the fact that the victory over death was achieved in Calvary, but death will be wiped away completely in future; what will stop the Lord Jesus who died for all not to save people in the next age or ages to come? Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. There is no where in the Bible that tells us that this is impossible to do as soon as one leaves this age. The Father will draw all to the Son, whether this age or the ones to come. But if He is calling you now, please respond to the call and be saved from first death (Hell), because Hell is real!!! I would be glad if what you say is true . I am very concerned about my children and some friends . But i cant be sure . See my comment about Jesus preaching to the spirits in prison . I've often wondered about that , it does seem to give hope for non christians , including loved ones . K

I really like your lectures, but how do you explain the nearly 8 million people who have had near death experiences? Those who have gone/been shown hell by Christ, as well as heaven? So when so many people have siad the same thing about their experiences?

Ive had a near death experience... And i personally believe a lot of it is a deception from the enemy... There are only a small percentage that experienced what i experienced... And most others are not biblical... Because no one has ascended but CHRIST into HEAVEN... All other mentions in scripture are visions from GOD... So if you think about it most of the near death experiences are not scriptural at ALL...

Thats interesting that Jesus was preaching to those drowned in the flood. They were pretty wicked . Thus people may have one chance after death . ? ! ! Riveting preaching . David has a soft voice , unlike hell fire preachers i have heard . But I'm riveted . I love his ( Jesus/ Paul ' s ) idea of being recycled , becoming useful again . Non christians dont realise , there will be no love without God, nothing good . Some say I'm a good person , i do nothing wrong , but of course they have rejected God . K

HI Katharine. This is Steve on behalf of David. David is now 89 years of age and very frail. He lives in a Nursing Home as he needs full time nursing care. During a visit to see him this morning I showed him your comment and he asked me to send you a reply on his behalf. David does not believe we can deduce from this verse that 'people have one chance after death'. David believes this was a specific event recorded in scripture where Jesus preached to those drowned in the flood and he agrees that t they were a pretty wicked lot It does not say ''others (who did not drown in the flood) have one chance after death'' - this assumption, whilst would be nice to think so, is not supported anywhere else in scripture. You may be right ......but what if you are wrong ? You state "there is no Heaven and Hell - it's all a myth". - how do you know?......You are entitled to say so, but you can you say for certain? .... The fact you have not been there, seen it , nor touched it or does not mean something is a myth ...........do you believe the earth is flat? or is it a rotating sphere? Some believe there is a Heaven and a Hell........to "keep their options open". - just in case ............and they are free to do so, but that is to a good reason for me There "is fact/truth" and there are "beliefs"...what we as individuals believe to be the truth The challenge we face in todays world is answering the question - what is the Truth? ........ vs what "someones" believes or tells us is Truth, according to them. Take Donald Trump ..., Boris Johnson ........politicians, not to single out just those two ..... I suggest to you for them Truth is what " they believe and tell us is true" ............not necessarily what is 'the actual' truth/fact " I did mislead parliment".(Boris)...fact because he himself said it ....vs "I did not intend to do so" ......does not change the fact that "I did mislead parliment" - forgive me this is not about Boris its purely to illustrate the difference between truth vs what he believes And this is the challenge for us all - how do we answer the question ........ what is the "absolute Truth", we call "fact", and specifically how can we find out before we get there and possibly end up in the wrong place ? Since the day we are born we live in a community where people get punished for doing wrong and rewarded for doing right .......... Is that fair and just? ........ Some people get punished for doing right and that is definitely not just If you agree, then the concept of Heaven and Hell are are an extension of that principle then it makes sense ........good will overcome evil in the end BUT whether there is a Heaven and Hell or not comes down to a much bigger question .....Is there a God? who defines and judges what is right and wrong ? How can you find out whether ..........its all a myth, a scam ?..... or its is actually a fact/True?......... I believe there is a God and I believe there is a Heaven and a Hell. Im not easily persuaded, I am one of the worlds biggest sceptics, but I did go searching to find out the Truth in life ( not just about Heaven and Hell) and what I now "believe" is based on years of searching and experience. If you go searching to prove whether He /God exists or not, like me - you may just find Him or He may find you ............ One day for certain - we will all know of certain whether Heaven and Hell are a myth.............or Truth

@ The entire story is one of the worst "fairy tales" in existence. In early Genesis, there are two creations of woman. First, from the dust of the ground; then, a second is made from Adam's rib. What happened to the first? Then, "Eve," the second female is "beguiled" by a TALKING SNAKE?!!! Your God then condemns, damns this serpent to forever crawl on its' belly in the dirt. No big deal there. That is, after all, what snakes do. Your godhead is 3 in 1--all the same being. The God-third sends the Holy Spirit-third to Earth to, without her knowledge or consent, molest a 15y/o female child, Knowing full well, this may result in her death by stoning, he impregnates her--BUT, without penetration. He impregnates her with the Son-third. The Son-third can magically walk on water, raise the dead, speak three languages, change water to wine. He draws a dozen guys away from their families to go on the road. Now, let us remember that the God-third has this real ego issue. He'd sent a man to the mountains with his male child, telling him to slay his boy to prove his love for God. But, alas, he stays the man's hand. He puts JOB through hell over a bet with Satan. Stupid Christians say, but her gave him more flocks and herds and more children. Someone tell me how each of those first set of kids is replaceable!!! Angels were never born;' your God created them. He brought them into the world and he can easily take them out. But, alas, no. He has Himself, as the Son-third, murdered. How does this somehow SAVE ALL Humanity? The whole game would not exist but for this myth. God could have nuked Satan and there'd be no game of religion--reward, punishment, mind control, monetary gain. So. The Son-third's body gets entombed before sundown on Friday. BUT! Lo and behold, he comes back to life some 36 hours later at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning. Now, mind you, this guy can teleport through walls and such. He strolls around some 40 days, then astro-projects--NO--BODILY ascends up. up and away to this imaginary Heaven. The son-third now is back as the God-third. Polytheistic views were too difficult for controllers to harness. That is why mono-theism was essential. I( rest my case. I bid you LIGHT AND LOVE.

Pawson is simply wrong on this issue. I personally changed my view after thoroughly examining the biblical data; Scripture clearly teaches the annihilation of the wicked.

@@DavidPawsonMinistry No, that's not an opinion it's literally what the Bible teaches. At least 200 verses teach the annihilation of the wicked. Eternal torment is a hideous doctrine.
