Cause everyone returned who had a red thread, but Li, Ming Yue and even Yingshi disappeared forever cause they didn't have one for themselves 😂😂 It's a good drama, don't misunderstand, but we are still missing some people's HEs. Li should be a mortal scholar much later on, going around selling his stories which he doesn't know where he got his inspirations from. His dream will be to eventually go to the Heaven Realm's Fate Burea to use his writings on the gods. Ming Yue must have been reborn just like her parents, and they lived happily together. When she meets Xiangyun, they will become sworn sisters (Xiangyun doesn't want her to remember the dark past and only wants to see her free and happy). Yingshi, is still alive, right? Only Jin Lou was extracted from the immortal princess' body if I'm right. Well, I like a good karma story, so she will be in a coma for a while, her primordial spirit injured because of the Jin twins, so to make amends Jin Lian will go down with her primordial soul to heal her, leading to their romance filled with vengeance and petty grudges.

@@curiositykilledcat9940 Yes, you final plot is much better than the HOE (Happy Open End) presented in the Drama, I hope this horrible trend of OE (Open End) ends soon most of the dramas of this year are following this line of Open endings ( Open endings are just made for fans to write fanfics) , ( person opinion ) . So much was left open that , I think the worst thing was the mystery of who the woman was that Prince Xiu Ming fell in love with in the end. For the main couple is understood to be in the 7th tribulation and when it ends they returned restored to the heavenly Kingdom. I really hope they release a special and not a compilation of the couple's moments to the sound of the opening song , but a real special episode showing that everything ended well or at least following the original ending of the novel. ( Sorry my poor English) .

Cang Hai had dreams about another time similar to the 3rd life (in the 12th ep she didn't use a sword but a little knife) even in the end they met at that Marriage Temple in the Mortal world because everytime they reunite there. Everytime they are separeted, they will meet again there once again. "In the vast world, with countless people, I've been looking for someone. Now, I think I've found her." -Chukong, Qilin Clan's 2nd Young Master Since Chaos, time was endless, a loop. Everything repeats itself, Chukong always dies for the one he loves, Cang Hai's power said so but he will also always reunite with her. The opening's lyrics tells about everything of their fate. Even though their fate is to separate everytime after they sacrificed themselves for the bigger good, because one of them still lives that the other one will return even from nothingness. There's hope for their reunion.

There's a book for this one and I think there' a full english fan translation? I think? I haven't gotten around to actually reading it so I'm not sure it's actually complete

It is happy ending in a way it is sad but it is happy. They at the end are together once more. But as typical in CDramas it doesn't show like "epilogue" its left to your imagination.
