Considering that "james" is a name, have we tried, CASEY-LUKE-JAMES? Since we find "James" through Act III's controller morse code, it'd stand to reason it'd fill in the last slot.

Hello from the discord. It's safe to say we finished the arg (maybe, DM said its the end but we're still distrustful), and it was quite honestly a brain tumbler. I'm posting this for those that want the full scoop that haven't joined the server. So I'm sure everyone already knows how it works, but the way this arg worked is that we needed to find secrets in all 3 acts, by using the controller. However it wasn't the same way for each act, so as said in this, act 3 used the flashing lights. Act 1 used the controller vibration haptics, and act 2 used the controller speaker. Act 1 and 3 used Morse code while act 2 had the word straight up said. And we ordered the words by acts so from there it came down to just finding the spots that activated the 3. (Of which I found the vibration spot in Act 1.) After making the death card code, which we dubbed the W card, we then went through game to Gooey, Pike, and the Mycologist to find the decoded text. In that text were digits singled off like (t)his, which put together make a link, a KZfaq link. Now what's great is in act 3, you could make a 0/3 card as well with no sigils, and the printer would instead show lore on the monitor for the ARG. What's the lore? Well, it's for a character that we know of. James. Full story down below. This ARG was the history of Plasma Jimmy. A character once named James Cobb. Goobert knew him as the previous Ruby Mage, who for some reason enjoyed being burned alive during Magnificus's trial. Magnificus could not allow that, so Magnificus petitioned Irving to remove him and replace him with Amber. Irving made a deal with him that James had to made into another NPC and find someone with a use for him. So the Mycologist was tasked with fusing James into a robot for P03. He went insane after being made into 3/4 robot, but he still wasn't able to be scanned into a card. So P03 replaced his head with a gun to make him as OP as possible. I find it funny that the name James Earl Jones fits the cipher perfectly

Something interesting at 2:53, When the cipher format is used, the stats of the card are set to 0/3, overwriting what was on them (potentially pointing to a pertinent card). The X's getting replaced with only a W might be important, too, but it could also just be the result of the cipher, as the example with the numbers only shows 15 characters (-Z---/-;--J-%-- ) with a larger gap at the right edge than the left, implying that spaces are valid outputs, thus the W result could just be a W with 15 spaces from the X's input and not a hint to where to find an answer (Like an 0/3 card that starts with a W)

If this secret hasn’t been solved, I think there are two other light flickers in the 2 other chapters and JAMES will go at the end with the other two in their respective places

Normally I'm against locking content behind different consoles let alone game versions on those consoles, but since the community is massive and the hunt is so cryptic I'll give it a pass and say good job

The og names of the wizards are unknown and are part of this secret, as mullins said. So I'm guessing either a) it's the individual first names of each of the wizards or b) it's the full name of one of them

I feel James may be the first part, and we need to go through the possible blinking light at Leshy's door, first. We need to check that.

legit just finished watching your ARG breakdown video for the second time yesterday, i got so happy when i saw you posted again today!

The flashing light on the other side of the door made me think of how there is actually a built in "light sensor"/Infrared Sensor on the bottom of the right Switch Joycon controllers. I wonder if instead of using the controller to produce a Morse code, it could be looking for a code? Maybe something like holding the controller up to the flashing light on the screen? Just an idea that has to do with the controllers and light...

I don't know if this has been tried but there's technically 2 forms of leshys cabin so maby the controller lights flash different from bout 1 from the base game and 1 in the rouge like mode

My theory is that each part of the cypher corresponds to a console release of the game. Since the James was found on the PlayStation version, I believe it’s likely possible that the other two are hidden on the Xbox and Switch versions too, and they might use the same mechanic of being hidden behind a feature of that console (EX: Xbox voice recognition, switch docked/undocked, etc)

that "flickering box" is the new game button kept out of reach by PO3, just like how leshy does it in act 1

My first thought for the scrambled 3 text boxes would be to try to sub in the original dialogue and see if it matches in character length or something. I doubt it’ll do much but it’s good to check at least. If only I had the console version to look around, I just have the pc one

So I seem to remember that one of the things with the cyphers was that you had to input what you had so far to get more information. I don't have a playstation or the game myself, but if I were to investigate this, my next step would be to try naming the card James|XXXX|XXXXX or XXXXX|XXXX|James and see if that leads anywhere.

It was exciting hearing about this new secret, and while it definitely feels like more of a bonus next to the other pieces of the ARG, it was still pretty cool. I’m looking forward to his next game. You specifically mentioned that the text box was from Woodcarver. Has anyone tried messing around with her dialogue and looking for certain phrases or words from her that might fit as a cipher? I would love to do it myself, but I don't have money, and I haven't found my console. By the way, I would love to help with the search, is there a Discord for this that I could join or something? I was a little bit sad when I heard about the first arg since it requires to stick your nose in the actual game files, which is not supposed to be possible with the console versions. Really happy they made something for the portage too!

The card didn't actually turn into a 0/3 it turned into a 0/3/0 aka 0 damage, 3 health and 0 cost, the only card with those stats is annoy fm from act 3, so it maybe has something to do with that card, maybe it's name changed after the code enters, like the dialogues, or something like morse code.

I wonder what else Daniel has in store... maybe it's a hint for more inscryption content? A sequel, perhaps? I cant wait to see everything the community finds!

I'm not following the game backstory at all, but did you check if the blink from chapter one form a word (eye blink) ? Did you tryed to look if there is sound q that can be transmited in morse code from the PS5 controller with some high/low frequency? Did you test the names that's in the game?

So I don't know if this was just a glitch or my ps5 controller messing up, but something weird happens when I'm doing the campfire powerups in part 1. Sometimes, the trigger sensitivity mechanism in my R2 button will start freaking out and going back and forth. I might be crazy, but it could have been morse code

James Easton worked on the game, so the other 2 words are most likely collaborators who worked on the game. Or... since he works at Huey Games. So the code would be James|Huey|Games

Maybe the 0 3 stats is how much it correct of the 3 ciphers, try to type in the "james" and see if that 0 3 stats becomes a 1 3 stats.

Well, we solved it. The reward was some lore about the Melter and PLASMA JIMMY,. The story of the 2 is that they were once 1. James Cobb was a Ruby Mage who enjoyed Magnificus's trial of being impaled. So, Magnificus gave him to the Mycologists who tried to fuse him with a Bot. This drove him mad, and this madness transferred to the Melter. The Mycologists couldn't fuse him completely though, as the bot still had James's head. So, the body was used to make the Melter, and the Head was replaced with a gun and turned into Plasma Jimmy. I promise this will be important one day.

There's a console version? I was unaware of that.

I'm curious if there's a way to brute force the code. Is the gibberish different every time or is there a pattern? Like, if you put in the 12345 etc, does it have the same results twice? When you swap things around, does it stay consistent with the numbers/letters you put in? Also, is it possible the date of the file has any bearing on the code? Could the 1011 be used in the 4 digit center?

god damit ok but theres a weird "glitch" where the adder sometimes displays as "AD3ER" when you splice the adder card enough times but i dont know if its rng or what and it only displays very quickly not shure what the hell this means but yeh, also maybe im insane but the gramor phone has a song that imo sounds like morce code

Has anyone tried "King James" for the 2nd and 3rd part of the cypher? First thing that came to my mind while watching was one of the references in Pony Island. Either that or use James as a starting point and see if any biblical phrases match the cypher.
