About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

Terry, do you have formal training in the arts or are you just one of those people who is a natural artist? From upholstery, frame restorations, designing and installing intricate mouldings, selecting amazing and appropriate colors, to bringing it all together in a beautiful and cohesive design, you do it all! Simply amazing!

Love how Ash is getting more and more skills to his name. It takes a brave person to try something new and hes doing everything great. You all are a credit to each other. The château looks lovely from outside anyway but the snow covered building looks exquisite.

I’m not sure why u would choose portraits of unknown people to hang on the walls. It looks a bit creepy. Is it because it has a red matte to match the decor? I think it is a miss on yr part. Sometimes it’s better to leave it and wait for something better. Sorry, but who would want old pictures of unknown people in their room?

Imho Terry is a natural and the chateau is his canvas. It must satisfy his artistic soul with so many different talents to indulge in. Tracy and Ash are so talented as well. Like begets like. Well wishes to your wonderful family for 2024. Tx🇺🇲 🤗

Try putting a bit of cayenne pepper( does not burn) in your shoes, the moisture of your feet will activate the warmth...it will warm the blood in your circulatory system...and keep your whole body warm...old landscaper trick!

If I had to choose the most important thing about Terry’s talent, it would be hard and, as another viewer had said, I would like to know his learning history. A whole vlog on it would be fascinating. Meanwhile, back to my one-thing choice. I think I would say his informed restraint and willingness to stop just this side of too much. I have been studying and designing for over 50 years and am so impressed. It is an honor just to watch this - as someone who has also toiled in design, constantly rechecking what I have done. In my case, there was also the constant question - will it sell? In his case it is, Am I being faithful to my concept?

I think it would be fun for you to all dress in period clothing and take black-and-white photos to put into those frames (unless the people in the photos have some significance tied to the chateau or your themes).

In a perfect world, your first guests in this suite will allow you to show us their first reaction to seeing the suite and their experience in staying at your home. To me, it would be a dream come true.

When we lived in Normandy, 8 miles from Villedieu Les Poeles we bought 4 reclaimed cast iron radiators. 2x 4 colum by 10 sections by 3ft tall and 2x 9 colum x 16 sections by 2ft tall. The heat output of them was amazing. Really liked them. Flushed through with a hose and then Dulux satinwood. x2 coats. Looked fantastic in the Living room and entrance hall. All with own legs. Paid 30 euros each for them. the other modern 10x steel rads not a patch on them. If you need more, sure billy at the convent "pretherics" would oblige as removing all or most of the rads it would seem.

WOW! The three of you never cease to amaze me with the outcome of your projects. I know you say “you’ve never done this before” but obviously you’ve done a lot of research and mastered your new skills! I’m blown away by the results of your hard work. Can hardly wait for the 400 suites final reveal when completed with all the finishing touches. I’m excited!

I am of the mind, how wonderful that those portraits have a new home! They arent leaning against a wall somewhere getting dusty and moldy. They now have the honor of being a part of your very beautiful decor! Lovely.
