Dialogue, briefings, and cutscenes for the Fires of Raven Ending. This is my preferred choice, but they all are fairly debatable.
Edit: Left out a line prior to Walter's Message: "...Unlock condition verified." due to me forgetting to keep on recording after the credits.

I think Walter Ending and Fires of Raven are both sad ending. In these 2 endings, we have to face 2 of our friends, In Fires of Raven we have to face Ayre, which is our closest friend, and the other one we have to face Walter, which is a character like Raven's father.

But to me, fires of raven is the best outcome for the universe, because according to this KZfaqr, who does a great summary of it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9ueeLiIxr_Gl6M.htmlsi=DXiNFq_f2JNdpuRa The coral it’s self needs to be burned immediately before it goes out of control to the point where horrifying things can happen. Think of the you know the alien thingy from the movie the thing, but I’m much more parasitic level pretty much like the flood from halo.

My favourite boss in the game. Both the fight and the emotional impact are amazing here. I have to blame Ayre for having such a fun move set. I couldn’t stop coming back to this fight despite how severely emotionally damaged I was.

Same. I honestly think her fight was better developed gameplay wise than the NG++ boss (incase u havent beaten it, which kinda just spammed weaker enemies at you + the boss) despite the pulse armor.

@@happycheese8006 The bosses test out different things that you learnt through out the entire game. Ayre is the shield and melee oriented attacks. The other is for multiple enemy management in two different levels and then aggressive assault management. The later one isn't bad once you bring AoE weapons.

@@MaidenlessScrub true, I suppose variety is a good thing. I just find it difficult to enjoy crowd control fights when the first half of it just just me shooting one guy while running away from the other, but thats just me. You could argue this is 99% of the game outside of bosses tho lol, so im not entirely sure. I did enjoy the duo PCA HC and LC fight. Maybe im just coping with not using hardlock through the whole game cause someone told me it messes my aim lol.

She talks about how you could’ve walked together, the way she says it makes me think she was beginning to have deeper feelings for 621 or rather that she’s had those feelings for some time now. Thinking that makes this fight so much harder because it’s betraying your own friend on top of betraying someone you could’ve had a real future with.

@@adriangerardoibarramenchac4610 it’s more like her mind was planted or assimilated by Coral, she’s not an AI but can interact with technology and integrate herself into some technology like her AC in the true ending and the machine she uses in the Fires of Raven ending. She does feel emotions and is capable of expressing them, such as during her boss fight she expresses her want to not fight you. And Ayre does have her own desires and dreams, Ayre sides with the Rubiconians quite a lot; sympathizing with her fellow Rubiconians. She wanted 621 to join her in their shared dream and wanted to save her Coral brothers and sisters. She is not an AI, she is a not a robot.

Coral is capable of manipulation of everything which uses electrical signals You know The brain uses an mix of chemical and *electrical signals* Remember ayres first dialogue "You have to wake up Before your conciseness gets scattered in the coral flow" Perhaps she speaks out of experience So if she truly would had been an heartless ai she could had just hijacked our brain instead of making an suiciderun against the best ac pilot on rubicon But no She respected our decision But cant condone them

Last Dialogue must really hit 621 internally if there was a version where despite the augmentation limiting emotions. A small portion can be shown that 621 was hurt after traveling alongside Ayre. IF.

After the death of Chatty stick Carla brings up how 621 seems to be affected by the loss of someone. Rusty also mentions that you must of sacrificed something important to follow through with your plan IIRC. Objectively the best ending for humanity though, no coral WMDs are produced and no coral convergence that hijacks human tech leading to coral-human war.

Damn a lot of the cut dialogue adds so much more context to their characters. I again stand by that a lot of it shouldn't have been cut and they should have made the bosses figure a way to put it in.

@@watcherman222for me I was Liberator of Rubicon for as much as Carla helped me and she helped me a lot arey help me a lot more not only did she tell me she provided to have to go data she was my partner and she also was just trying to protect your people destroying an entire people I couldn't get myself to do she helped me out a lot and the only thing she asked for was to protect her people so I listen to her I don't regret my choice

I chose this ending for my first one. I was deeply conflicted. Weighing the options, it felt to me I either protected the coral but betrayed Carla, Chatty and Walter and I did NOT want to kill Carla On the other hand, there was a very real possibility burning the coral meant the extermination of a possibly sentient species? (There’s still a lot of questions I have about what coral is innately. Is Ayr and the contact Dolmayan had a special case or is all coral sentient? In the end, it was thinking about “where there’s coral there’s blood” and that even if Arquebus kicked the bucket someone would come in stir things up again later down the line. Alas, it meant sacrificing the RLF and whoever else was on Rubicon, but Arquebus would have slaughtered them all eventually. Rusty… wish it didn’t have to be this way…

Coral is a self-replicating oil, and it have a tendency to converse, therefore making "mutated waveforms" AKA sentience. So, in fact, FoR is a double genocide ending.

Tbh after hearing the idea of symbiosis with sentient space fuel, I'd probably lean towards nuking a planet, too. We dont know what this symbiosis means for our race, and the possibilities of that would be scary.

It’s probably for a good reason, but things will only get worse from there after this ending. My guess is that it’s gonna be a sequel to armored core but it will drop the numbered and replace it with a subtitle. This ending reminds me a lot of the Destroy ending in Mass Effect 3. I also think this is the best ending for humanity. 621 doesn't betray those who help him and become a hidden hero, protecting the essence of humanity from the Coral's corruption.

In Japan, many players consider this ending to be tragic and without redemption. It is interesting to note, however, that many people overseas view it positively, saying that he fulfilled his mission by following Walter's wishes and preventing the calamity that would eventually come. If anything, I agree with this opinion.

In the end it was a job, and a job that needed to be completed. Plus no one deserves that kind of power or ability to bring about coral release, the RLF forgets this shit is self-replicating and was reaching critical mass before being stopped by the fires of Ibis

The RLF were all innocent bystanders in all this. They just wanted the Coral because for all they new some dunderhead scorched the planet and made it virtually uninhabitable and the only source of food they had was meal worms grown on Coral. There's a log you can find talking about how the corporation's Coral survey left little food for the starving children that they had. Dolmayan was the only one who new anything about what Coral really was. Only to have all life on the planet extinguished again. Ayre wasn't just fighting for the Coral, but as a native of the planet she didn't want to see burned away again.

Help me understand here, was the coral sort of like sentient gasoline. Like you could put it in your car, and power other machines, and put into weapons like a flamethrower etc. Each droplet its own person but as a whole just a pool of multiple consciousnesses. When lit, they’d blow up like any other explosion, and that was the way they experienced death?

yes, and as stated by the RLF that it was infinite in abundance yet due to the fires of ibis they're now struggling to maintain a steady usage as the wells are running dry, and the corporations want to siphon the rest of it for their own benefits. Meanwhile Allmind wants to use it as a way to begin a machine uprising, its why others tell you that coral release is a bad idea

I still standby the belief that the FoR is the worst ending. But why does Ayres Boss fight have to be fun? Her Boss fight helps me with my dodging. It’s like a weird mix of fun and depression

This is the best ending what are you on about, Kill the alien that threatens humanity's very existence by simply existing on its own, burn it, wipe it from existence, just because it has a pretty voice and doesn't look like the flood does not make it any less flood-like Rubicon and the star systems around are a small price to pay for the continued survival of the human race
