Since the time of our video Wave Accounting announced changes, existing users can continue outside of US and Canada but no new users outside of these countries. We are really disappointed with the news and have started looking for alternative recommendations. In the meantime consider checking with your bank, some banks are offering free financial management software for business accounts. Paid options include; Xero, Quickbooks and Sage some of these come with a free trial. Feel free to reach out if you need more info, all the best with your business.

However, will not be available to new users outside these countries. So we are looking for alternatives and will share some options as soon as we find new ones. In the meantime consider QuickBooks Online, Xero (Paid Options) or check with your bank some banks offer free financial management software for business accounts. You can always register a business once you start making an income through the product or service. Most banks open a sole proprietor account which does not need a registered business. Your business Tax registration number is automatically generated when you register your business if you do not generate an income you still need to be compliant so make sure you renew your annual returns on BizPortal and also submit Zero income on your returns. This should be done on BizPortal and with SARS. Please message us if you have any questions or need to speak to an accountant or tax expert.

I have filed my zero returns with biz portal.. how do i do it with sars online? And how do i open documents from sars that do not open on any of the apps like pdf, epub, all doc reader,etc?
