At first the optics seemed a bit odd to me, but the more often I look at it, the more I like this individuality. I like the idea of combining the different elements of the SUV (kinda like a bigger Honda e) and the freestyle doors known from the RX-8, as well as the use of sustainable, resource-saving materials that also connect to the company's past. The grey painted extensions on the trunk lid look like eyebrows above the wonderful three-dimensional rear lights. Very interesting detail. Yes, the battery is comparatively small, but Mazda made it clear from the start that this would be a second or city car. If you look at it that way, it's very interesting. Also the price point with all modern features is well set. If you still want more range, you can wait for the range extender version. Very good job, Mazda! btw: The "MX" stands for every unusual, special cars in Mazda's lineup - just like the MX-5.

Great First Look Review

Mazda is using great sustainable materials. I like the utilitarian side door and wheel arches, as with the color blocking. The interior I am glad they made some changes, and the cork and durable felt cloth like the Honda e. I do wish the side mirrors were slimmer.

Beautiful car esp the front !

I love the gear lever here it's Audi-esq design, hopefully Mazda will implement this to other models in the near future. As always Mazda makes a very beautiful design car.

Of it had a little more range and all wheel drive it would be a first day buy for me! Maybe they will release a signature model with better range and I will drive that would be awesome!

Great review, could be a winner if they get the range up with the rotary extender...price still way too high considering you will need to change it before 100k km. I think I'll wait on the cx5 with Skyactiv X.

I think Mazda will either have to drop the price or increase the battery size for this to sell well. There are no USPs here and it is already beaten on price and range by several other EVs

The only question I have is WHEN CAN I GET ONE???

Great looking car but the range is going to impact sales. People are expecting higher ranges with new ev’s this is going backwards. Come on Mazda, you need to be leading not following.

Great review but Mazda Made a mistake with 35 kWh they should have made at least 70 kWh voor 40000 euro
