Honestly i think i said it best when i said the controls feel like playing mirrors edge on a controller i think they could have implemented a better solution then using click and click and hold as it's control method i think the inconsistency i was complaining about was because of the awkward input mechanics when you have 2 different inputs linked to one button. I do play a-lot of fighting games though but yeah fuck this game tbh.
