This is the first boss that requires teamwork to beat.

The First Descendant is a free third-person cooperative action RPG shooter featuring high-quality graphics. Experience the fun of strategic boss fights through 4-player co-op and various unique characters, exciting gunplay, and looting. A variety of equipment is necessary for growth, and you can obtain them through clearing scenario missions within the game or in the World Missions where cooperation is crucial and battles with huge bosses.
The player becomes a Descendant in the game and is given a mission to fight against the invaders for the survival of humans and to protect the ‘Ingris continent’. The player can experience a spectacular story by growing stronger through various missions and stories to finally discover the Descendants' secret. - In matchmaking, it is better to do 4 pylons each solo if your teammates do not want to communicate. If they are willing to listen, or you are in a premade, and your team lacks DPS, it is ok to do 1 pylon at a time, 4-stacking it. Do keep in mind this will result in 4x the amount of airstrikes dropping on that pylon. Just did this with randos after watching this vid. Managed a 4 pylon clear with like 20 seconds left. Difference was 1000% having the shotgun with some minimal investment for firearm atk on it. Thanks man!

Or solo if you have a decent weapon with an activator and catalysts installed. I dont but I came close anyway. If I had 30 more secs I would have toasted his ass

Nvm I solo'd it fairly easily with extremely mid set up. I just had to use bunny to zap the pylons. Im not a fan of bunnys playstyle so I wasnt using her...

Old but great video! Also to people struggling with random matchmaking, try doing the fight solo. I tried 3 times through random matchmaking and only got him to 50-75% hp by the end. Went solo and got him first try. Was using Bunny too, who isn't amazing for Void Intercepts

I’ve done it with randoms a few times Kyle’s 4th ability can one shot pylons if you have around 75% charge :)

Would you work towards a Freyna build ? She seems really interesting but I guess she is bugged because the ticks barely do any damage. Also can you make a guide on how to mod weapons correctly and what we need to upgrade on them?

Im not sure i'll be doing this fight. I keep getting into groups with super underleveled players so they keep dying wasting our counters or some mixture of not knowing to shoot the pylons and being low leveled. All in all, it's a pretty simple fight just have to get teammates that wanna communicate and no one seems to use a mic or respond in my case.

Yeah I’m a warframe player so I’ve gotten max rank and weapons w all maxed stuff for this fight and I can’t complete it due to a lack of good matchmaking. It’s so frustrating even in a pre made lobby people just do the wrong thing just seems so pointless at this time.

There is a freyna descendant mod that changes her debuff to make enemies regen half as much. At least, thats what it said. Would it help to use it on the pylon phase?

The timer on the boss is a deal breaker for me, got so close so many times but always fail because the timer runs out. Makes me not want to play the game to be honest and I’m loving it

Dude, the boss keeps going into immunity every 30 secs, I mean literally every 30 secs, it's been happening for the past 2 days I been going against it with my friend, how do you delay the immunity if at all??

It's just a super unsatisfying fight. Having a rain of AoEs pushing you out of the effective area you can attack the pylons was a dick move.

Yeah. I think its mainly for grinding the amorphous rewards. We'll probably maasively over level it when the main game launches so it wont be as much of a hassle at least.

Technically the last reward that carries over to the main release is for fighting one of the hard bosses, so you would need to do it if you want all three cosmetics.

There's a mod called "Weaken Recovery" - "On Sub Attack, Outgoing Heal -50% for 10s at a 100% chance (Cooldown 25s or 10s, depending on mod lvl). I'd imagine this would work on the pylons, no?

this decendant mod works on the pylons as sub attack is a melee hit, so melee hit the pylon 1st then it only does half as much healing @@Aznvasions

Can you do a video on how to increase weapon damage? I know it seems odd, but I see a lot of people wondering why the fight is hard and come to find out their weapon DPS is only 20k. We need more content creators showing the masses how to increase their damage or else they will never clear this encounter.

Queue with randoms, invite the decent one who's willing to communicate. Repeat until squad is full, reset until it works out.

The pylons have an absurd amount of health and are range limited... Meanwhile that area is constantly being bombed with an absurd amount of tox damage. I have 3k of the recommended 1.8k toxic resists and he wipes the floor with my ass if blink at the wrong time. You really just got to hope you roll a team that has p2w'd their gear with energy activators and crystallization catalysts. I mess Greg

The one tip I will give is you are not meant to tank the toxin AoE. It is designed as a mechanic to dodge out from. It is intentionally tuned so that if you tank multiple Toxin AoEs on purpose when DPSing the pylon, you will die. The game is not balanced entirely around builds. It requires you to dodge and use movement to avoid damage and playing tactically, as well as having good enough builds to have a chance at clearing on-level content. The biggest comparison I could give, is that this is not a power fantasy game in context of destroying enemies. Each and every fight is intended to be your equal that can easily kill you for not focusing and learning mechanics/dodging/counterplaying. Or in other words, the Colossi fights and hard mode stuff later on is not catered towards casual gameplay when you are on-level with them the first time you clear. They are intended to be massive obstacles to overcome by learning the fight and clearing all mechanics with minimal damage taken and maximum damage output. I'm sorry to say this, but this boss was intentionally designed to be the gate keeper to see if you are ready for later content. All future content is much more difficult than Devourer, with the exception of Swamp Walker being a disappointment of an easy boss.

@@Aznvasions I don't "dodge" because it's a huge loss of dps, i try and strafe around the pylon but my dps is just never enough either way... so people come over to help me and then there is twice the AOE bombardment lol The only time I ever came close was solo and he was down to like 5% health and 40secs left on the clock so I was like "FINALLY" but then he spawned the pylons again and I just quit out and tried pubs again all day. I have probably run this nearly 20 times now and yeah... it just aint happening for me. In beta everyone had free catalysts and activators so it was much more cozy.

@@Aznvasions I changed my mind about literally everything I said after soloing it with bunny. I had no clue she could delete the pylons so fast. People kept saying "Stop using bunny" but yea that boss is crazy weak to electric. I was using Viessa...😓

This boss is gonna be a fucker because i am a Main blair and The Perfect mod for blair is drop by this shit ( technically by a list of drop that nexon post and i say technically because i killed this guy 10 Times and It din't drop so nexon is wrong about The drop rate or is very uncommon ) i hope When They Release The game this boss is nerf

thats to complicated, take antivenom with u and a beam rifle with -50% def, shoot the shield pillas with beam gun and then switch with switch dmg mod to lmg, easy af. clear time over all about 3-4 minutes

Omg the most frustrating boss fight with randoms. Been playing destiny since launch never seen so many people absolutely incapable of dodging in my entire life. It's 3 rockets if you dodge them the fight IS SO EASY.
