he had to because his brother instinct were a burden to his own path, think of you having second personality that automatically switches at a certain time and you go to sleep, any rational person would obviously not like being kicked aside and taken control of, this is kinda similar to Ichigo and White Ichigo/Hollow. Ilfrot was a General so his path was of Fighting Szayel was a Scientist, his path is to study and reach perfection, how can he do this if his brother soul keep destroying anything that he wants to research/study.

Man this whole video on Szayelaporro made me remember the whole fight between him and Mayuri and Mayuri's iconic speech on Perfection when he did a Izanagi on him. Granz was one of the most freakish Espada when it came to his ability. Creepy but deadly for sure considering he toyed around with Renji and Uryu

@@givmespace Ichigo or the main cast isn't in the light novel to my knowledge. The novel serves to flesh out the other characters and give them more fights if anything. Who knows Kubo might make a Novel focusing on the life of Ichigo, Orihime, and Kasui if anything sometime soon. I'm hoping

I noticed some people seem to misunderstand how hollow form. Yes, they are made out if multiple souls. But only the dominant soul is the one in control. So basically, it's like a vampire. He's made of the blood of thousands, yet one mind dominates this vessel.

Szayel might end up to be the most important espada. Your points aside, in the newest arc that just debuted he is the first to appear, additionally its no coincidence that a vision of him appeared before Mayuri against Pernida. Im calling it, he will become even more important than he is now

Ilfordt unlike Szayel could have had the mindset that he was basically sending his those he captured to death. That and the fact that Szayel ate his soul before he even had being a hollow as an excuse. It's no wonder he's in hell and Ilfordt wasn't even mentioned.

I think this makes an interesting point about how vasto lorde come to be. Since his brothers soul was what made him vasto lorde apparently you need to consume family in order to become one? Idk maybe it really is just that you have to be "chosen" to be able to become one from the beginning.

It’s a novel based around the time skip between Arrancar arc and Fullbring arc. It’s not an origin story, but it does reveal interesting things about other characters

Well with the Mangas continuation in Hell and the appearence of Szayelaporro we can assume that he got stronger again and absorbed his brother into himself so he can get his revenge. I mean he needs a big power boost after what Ichigo and the others got after the 1000 year blood war. So i assume hes back at his original Espada 0 power.

Oh how I adore Szayel. But I’m curious? Where did you find the translation of safwy2? I’ve only ever found one translation that was frankly awful. What I got from the translation was Szayel could already see hollows when he was alive as well as he remained an arrancar after splitting his soul he was just wounded greatly and would need a lot of time to recover? This was just me trying to piece together an awful translation that got taken down but I don’t know just thought I’d give my input on what I got trying to decipher it

Szayel and Yyfoldrt was human once but I guessing Yyfoldrt was protecting his younger brother from others and care for him. But his origin is sad, crazy and tough as a human/espada.

I didn't know about these novels but I always wondered about Syazalaporro grantz and his backstory with his brother. Hope they release more to give more insight to other characters like Zommari or Yammy and his dog. This also explains how and why he teamed up with Grimmjow and confirming the Cannibal theory to becoming VL.

The difference in manga and anime is most apparent with Szayel. In the manga his resurreccion is more in the line of rape, his rebirth from Nemu is (graphic) actually first impregnating her, then he comes out stealing her "life-force" making her look like bulimic and sucked dry. And his strength before the split with his brother explains why Nnoitorra was allied with him. I wondered why they aligned themselves, despite nr5's attitude towards weaker arrancar being useless. Thnx

I wonder how big the human world is? I think some of the 'humans' are from different planets. This explains why they have vastly different appearances and could explain other living things like the Quincy and maybe the fullbringers as well.

there's a continuity error, Yylfordt was arrancar 15, meaning he was the 5th created, but szayelaporro would have to have been an arrancar before seperating yylfordt from himself

How was Ilfort inside (part of) Szayelaporro and also an ally of Grimmjow when he was an adjuchas? The flashback for Grimmjow takes place before meeting Aizen. And he can’t be in two places at once

Could someone please explain to me, how long was it from when Aizen left soul society till when Orihime was kidnapped for Ichigo and co to invade Hueco Mundo. In some places I read, it seems to be a really long time, like years, but in the anime, it felt like maybe a year or two at most. And in this video, it was mentioned Szayelaporro left the Espada and rejoined later, that would have taken a while to happen. Second question, so the Espada existed before Aizen came along?

Aizen had been preparing the espada and building Las neches in hueco mundo long before he left soul society the time between the arrancar arc and when he made his defect known is only a few months technically the espada were mostly formed by the time of the soul society arc

One of the interesting things imo is that we don't know *exactly* what sends you to Hell. Just killing somebody obvs isn't enough, cus we see a number of Shinigami and Arrancar who have commited murder but aren't sent to hell

Well in the newest one shot we do know why, or at least partially why Syza went there along with Aairennero. They both were considered potentially captain class Arrancar. Which means their reiatsu could not be reincarnated into the world of the living.

Aizen recruited the espadas long before he got his hands on the hogyoku... They were turned into arrancars after Aizen defected from the soul society... Which means, back then there were no arrancars (other than Ulquiorra and Stark)... I'm not sure though 😬
