Flowey wasn’t always a homicidal maniac. At first, he was just a lost little kid.
The First Human: An Undertale Prequel AU is a fan webcomic set before the events of Undertale. After the loss of his two children, King Asgore has declared war on humanity. This story follows Marine, the first human to fall into the underground after these events, and her new best friend, a freshly bloomed Flowey the Flower.
This story is an alternate universe heavily inspired by the events of Undertale, and as such there are some deviations from canon.

Hey guys! Thanks so much for checking out the trailer, me and my team worked SUPER hard on this trailer to make it the best it could be. This was my first major animation project and I'm so happy with the results. I want to thank my amazing team for helping me make this a reality! I want to address some things, I've gotten a lot of comments about this story not being canon. The First Human is an AU (alternate universe/timeline), so some details have been changed from canon. Think of this more as a story inspired by Undertale. That being said, Chara is still the first fallen child, this story is about Marine, the first SOUL collected by King Asgore. I get a lot of questions about Flowey and his origins, please know that I will eventually answer all these questions later in the series! I mostly wanted to write a fun story about a cute girl and a grumpy flower. Hello! Your comic is actually very interesting and intriguing! It's really great when fans are so passionate about projects and creating new stories! Can we ask one question? What about translation into other languages? Can voice acting teams from other countries download your comic/trailer to dub it into other languages? For example: Voice acting for Russian speakers, voice acting for Japan speakers, and so on? We understand perfectly well that such works require permission from the authors. 💙

In all my years I have never seen an undertale fan story quite like this. It’s absolutely incredible; and I love how it’s about the first human. Hopefully this story will be popular enough to warrant stories for all the other humans later on in the future.

This is just amazing. If there was an undertale movie, this would be the trailer for it. It has everything: the main theme playing while the character walks into the world, the side chracter gets introduced, the side characters does a mini exposition while shots of them walking are playing, some voice clips. Literally everything that you would find in a movie trailer. Amazing job

Even though this isn't trying to tie into canon, i kinda like the concept of Flowey trying being nice from the start but just gradually losing his patience every time a human he helped reach the castle dies to Asgore with no results. At the first human he literally is always right next to her and constantly helps her, in UTY he is just there to help Clover revive and give advice or (mostly) emotional support, while in Undertale he just straight up tries to kill you.

Well flowey was created by alphys so she has to be alive, And no one has seem a human in, always with the exception of toriel, asgore, And gerson

But if we think that yellow and all others fangame could be canon that betwean Dark Blue and yellow soul is at least 1yr gap. *spojler* Chujin had blue soul to experimente on for 1 year.

props to the voiceactors involved in this, they did amazingly!! but that's not even mentioning how AMAZING this animation was!!!! the amount of hype i got watching it was insane, not to mention the music choice was ✨perfect ✨ and how stunning the backgrounds were by Tolles. I think that’s why it’s an AU comic, the timeline might be a bit different from Undertale :)

Flowey would exist. The "First Human" is actually the second human to fall down. Chara was the first. That means this takes place after Asriel crossed the barrier and came back and died. The thing I am not so sure about personally is that I think Flowey would still be a little less... evil or cynical at this point. That was supposedly a development over the course of many, many RESETs.

I cannot tell you how much I adored this. The animation is *chefs kiss*, the voice acting is the pinnacle of stunning and everything about it is just breath taking. I cannot tell you how much I geeked out when I saw it (I watched underevent with my friends 😅) absolutely stunningly amazing

I do like the ideas of the prequels for Undertale, we had plenty of things that talk about other universes of Undertale, which are nice in their own way, but I feel really intrigued on the different stories that tell of the other humans that fell before Frisk, how the other 6 traveled through the underground before meeting their fate.

sick animation, though one must wonder how flowey exists here when he didnt exist until after alphys extracted determination from the human souls and injected it into one of the golden flowers in asgore's garden that asriel's dust had spread across...

And even then, saying that sans, alphys, undyne, etc.. existed back when the first human fell is a bit of a stretch.. all of them (except maybe the skeleton duo) should either be little kids or simply not born yet, considering it should be dozens to maybe a hundred or more of years ago.

@@guideoftheriver7112 Alphys has never said she ever encountered a human, and since Flowey existing only happens AFTER Alphys becomes the royal scientist and extracted Determination from the human souls, it can be assumed Flowey didn't actually EXIST until after 6 human souls had been taken, so it's entirely possible he had never actually met a human as Flowey before Frisk appeared, and in fact seems super likely since I seriously doubt he would have let a human soul fall into Asgore's hands if he was around.

@@noobfart yes, Deja vu regarding the humans, meaning the 6 previous humans likely had the ability to SAVE and LOAD, presumably due to being the most Determined being in the underground at the time, since Flowey wasn't created until after Alphys experimented with Determination from the human souls (plural)... and the time that happened could be quite recent indeed.

Been following the comic after I saw the it on my KZfaq shorts and let me say I'm a really big fan. I'm happy with featured an underevent some more people can learn about it and I hope it gets a lot more people to start reading it. i just want to give Marine a big hug.
