Күн бұрын

Ahmad Shah Durrani, the man unanimously known by Afghans as ‘Baba’ or ‘Father’, single-handedly creating the modern nation-state of Afghanistan. Over the course of his 25 year reign, he pulled together different tribes and ethnicities in a bid to create an empire out of the political malaise that engulfed 18th century Persia and India. His conquests would take him from eastern Iran to northern India, in the process establishing the last of the great Afghan Empires.

The greatest in terms of emperor I would have to say Sher Shah Suri for his Superior bureaucracy, Architecture, Economy and humanitarian ideas and other reforms too. The British, Mughal, Indian and Afghan governments used much of his bureaucratic system till 20th century and even now his legacy can be seen in many fields of study such as the Postal system the Rupee money currency still used in India. A great Afghan Emperor unfortunately short lived empire due to young death. For me personally due to the unfortunate history that we have had at lengthy times such as the massive invasions of the Mongols/Mughal, Russians and now USA. I would say Khushal Khan Khattak is very close to me as we can relate to the hardships of the ordinary Pashtuns. Khushal was the bravest resistance fighter in history of Afghanistan and I consider him alongside Ahmad Shah Durrani and Mirwais Niqa as the Fathers of Pashtun people. Pull out your sword and slay any one, That says Pashtun and Afghan are not one. Arabs know this and so do Romans, Afghans are Pashtuns, Pashtuns are Afghans.- Khushal Khan

@HikmaHistory you mentioned on 17.57 mins that Ahmed Shah Abdalli destroyed sikh communities and desecrated their holy sites are all false claims. I suggest as a pashtun you read more into this Vadda ghalu Gharra more as the only information you provided is 20th century Indian sources. And that is only going to be one sided. This was a war! 80,000 Sikh infantry and cavalry , no women and men, Sikh always did guerrilla tactics against the afghans, they never wanted a pitched battle with the afghans. Sikh were marauding and looting their way through territories of the durrani empire near Lahore, they ran like usual, when Ahmed Shah abdalli got wind and Sen this army. . Please clear this false claim and do better research on such a great leader of the Muslims and the afghans.

Western history is full of BS ! You can simply turn their page to chapter “IRAQI FREEDOM INVASION” and you’d quickly realize the very title of chapter is propaganda because invasions were for oil set by the wealthy entrepreneur elites of the west pushing for military industrial complex profits and foreign mineral resources to help their industrial company owners who fund presidential candidate bribe whole world with their highest monitory currency. And 90% of this channels perspectives are western narrations. He totally disregards the British led Indian settlers last occupation of southern Khorasan and how they established Pakistan in occupied Khorasan pushing Pashtuns into the region they named Afghanistan. And nothing about hazaras or Tajiks lol biased channel

@@HikmaHistory I'm in the sixth or seventh generation, the grandson of Ahemd Shah Durrani. One of my father's cousin actually wrote a book about our family history - which unfortunately was full of errors - for example, he said in the book that my mother is Danish - she is Finnish and I was born in Finland. Our family branch is Peshware Sardars. During one of the infightings in the Durrani family, two brothers escaped with the help of a servant to British India. The story goes that when they came to kill everyone, the servant swore that the young boy was his and that is how they managed to escape with that servant.

One written error. Ahmad Khan didn't take Kohinoor after Nadir Shah assassination by the Iranian generals. The Kohinoor was bestowed by his wife to Ahmad Khan as a gift after he took the king's family safely to Mashhad.

He might be the founder of Afghanistan but he was the murderer of Gandhahar. Even till 17th century people in Afghan still had cultural connection to their Indic past. Sisnce their ancestors were Buddists and Hindus, there was still a small connection to their ancient heritage. Durrani wiped it out and fully Islamised them and made Afghanistan

Gandhara has nothing to do with Afghanistan.Gandhara was in modern day Pakistan around the Peshawar region.Afghanistan is an Iranic country and always has been this is supported by the languages we speak and the ancient rituals we practice like Nowruz the New year calendar.Afghanistan was never a Hindu country it was mainly Zoroastrian with a minority of Buddhism,Even the Avesta originated in north Afghanistan.Durrani did not islamise Afghanistan,He succeeded the throne of Afghanistan and then invaded and conquered India.

And also, Unfortunately, this video too has its flows, at 17 mins in , "Ahmed Shah apparently killed up to 30,000 Sikhs many of whom who none combatant. Lol what a false and incorrect reading of history that has been related to you falsely by 20th century Indians. Please clear this up as you are doing a misfortune on such a great pakhtun leader. Writers before the 20th century and some of whom were around these events have all described this as a war. 100,000 Sikh infantry and Calvary mentioned in some cases, all armed to the teeth, doing hit and run tactics , so why would they bring their women and kids? These are all false claims to ruin the image of Ahmed Shah abdalli.

Brother, I love your videos and as an Afghan, I am proud of the conqueror Ahmad shah Abdali but this is wrong to call him the man who founded Afghanistan. You can not find one single page in the whole history where he would talk about Afghanistan, instead, he claimed himself so many times the king of Persia or the shah of Khurasan. My point is we can not put the foundation of a whole country on a specific person who did not have ideas for it. Anyway, may his soul rest in piece.

So let me get this staraight durani saw him self as the heir to the afsharid and timured just like the qajar the afshar saw them self as the heir to the safavid and timured and the safavid saw them selfs as the heir to the timured and the prophet and timur saw himself as the unifier of all iran i think if not for timur the idea of iran would have been forgotten so undrated and yet he is so underrated in Iran

Nanda Singh Buzdil Kana Ranjit Singh the Langra actually blackmailed the Afghan king on the run out of Kohinoor which was in his possession and his own harami son Duleep Singh, whom Queen Victoria converted to Christianity, handed it over to the British Crown. Moreover, Bahadur is a Farsi/Pashto word for hero/brave so my son give up the name Bahadur and take up your DNA father's name and not a Muslim's.
