For the first time ever, scientists scanned a brain on LSD using modern technology. What they saw was a more "unified brain."
In the experiment, researchers scanned dozens of participants with a fMRI machine. Once after being injected with 75 micrograms of LSD and a second time with salt water.

We're basically rediscovering what scientists found in the 50's and 60's, before research was stalled by the law. Imagine how far it could already have gotten otherwise.

On top of that... Humans have been using psychedelics for 10,000s of years before lsd was created... People who've tried these drugs understand what they do you for... It's an experience... Not just a high (well for most people) it's a mind expanding experience... Shows you what life actually is... And it can also show you what you're doing right or wrong in life... If more people took lsd maybe once a month people would change a lot... But the powers that be don't what that... They dont want a country that'll look at things and tell others what is wrong.. You can't controll a country if everyone sees all the bs that's going on right now

Well back then in the 50s and 60s “research” was for MK Ultra and they tortured their subjects with high doses and awful trips. Isolation units and stressful situations in general. It was research for mind control, not science

Nono but seriously, living 19 years in this world where i thought i would never have experience something good, theme parks, parties, sure.. But LSD opened up all my senses, feelings, emotions i thought i'd never have or see, ego death kicks in which i'm sure you had, Tripping never gives you what you want but what you need, So being depressed and having alcohol addictions and going on LSD you'd most likely experience the worst ego death in which you would attempt suicide, or if you managed to pass it you would realize how much of a piece of shit you actually are and actually work your life around, no harsh feelings fellow furfeggit :3

When i took LSD i was able to feel the music,not just hear it.i felt the sound and emotion from the instruments rush through every part of my body and consume me in an embodiment of creative energy.When i become happy, i understood what happiness really is,and how fundamentally important it is in our lives.when i felt scared, i understood fear in its most primal form, and that there truly is nothing in this mortal realm to be afraid of.And when i was with someone i loved, i truly felt love. I learned in that moment what love truly is.I felt as Through that love would never leave me,because it shouldn’t leave me. If that feeling of love were to leave me,i would feel incomplete. I dont want the person loving me to be incomplete, so i should love them back, and we should remain connected for enternity in a bond of love. Me: My hair feels like spaghetti.

I've taken LSD twice now with a couple of my closest buddies. It was the best and will always be the best experience in my life. Now, there are no hallucinations like Alice in Wonderland shit. But, it does enhance your vision in a way that makes everything almost vibrate and move in a beautiful way. You connect with one another in such a deep way. It's hard to explain the trip. It's only something you have to experience for yourself. It's a very powerful thing, and honestly shows how powerful the mind and spirit are. Now everyone has different experiences but when you take it all in and really get a feel for it, it can be absolutely mesmerizing. 💕

@rocketxiv4980

One of the underlying causes of addiction, is neural feedback loops that are created through the self-administration of the drug and the brain's plasticity adapting over time. One of the notable effects of psychedelic drugs is their ability to disrupt neural networks, _including the ones causing these feedback loops._ I see it similar to something like a 'system reboot'. (Sometimes a program will crash on a computer because of a similar feedback loop that can arise in the temporary code or page files of the program, and this error can be difficult to fix with the page files still running, but a system reboot will end the processes and restart them, ending the error as well.) Perhaps this has something to do with the creative effects of LSD? It reboots 'programs' that are perceiving things, issues, situations, objects, etc., and restarts them, potentially opening them up to new pathways that can be reformed in the absence of the old page files? (These page files are recorded as 'logs' in memory, but most likely outlive their usefulness if they're clogging creativity and causing fixation.)

I dont believe they can be abused, because if you use it too often the effects are just nit the same. But either way the trip is amazing and life changing, however in my experience its not like a drug high that you come down from and crash then want more to feel that way again, its almost like it inhances euphoria and clarity in your sober state. If that makes sense.

I dont want to advocate for people to treat themselves, as this can go horribly bad. I experienced both extremes, from extremely more sucidial and anxious phases over months after one trip because i used the drug without safer use limitations or a right therapeutic setting, to my current state where i would say i'm completely cured of a heavy depression that lasted over nearly a decade. It definetely is a tricky thing and shouldn't be treated as "cure" as the drug itself isnt what leads you there it is the general perspective on the experience. I meditate since i'm 15 so i have some background with experiences that dissolve the ego. I might imagine that my "experiments" might have turned out fatal for my psyche if i didn't had that. I just hope that research will progress in this field quickly as the potential i see in it is huge, but it needs a well established method to it
@mike4ty4
@mike4ty4 7 жыл бұрын
But that's the problem, there's no doctor that can prescribe the correct treatment, or supervise a course of treatment, or any form of therapeutic protocol has been drafted and there likely won't be until the legal situation is improved. This sucks, because I've got some problems and wondered if this might be a method to use, but it looks like it is impossible to do it "safely" because there is no proven procedure, much less therapist trained in said procedure, and it seems from what you're saying you have to have either had the good luck to have had the thought to decide to pursue some form of "meditation" for a long time (this poster did not), and/or the good fortune to somehow magically find the proper mindset with which it approach it which almost certainly is far from obvious and it would be reasonable to suspect would be to some extent or another individualized as well (so that any hypothetical therapist would have to help discover it with their patient.). HEADPOP. Which means this path is effectively CLOSED. Fk. Fk drug prohibition. You know, once I used to be all in favor of it. NOT ANYMORE. That "puritanical" reaction back in the 60s was probably an unwitting sledgehammer to the field of medicine, especially psychiatry, the effects of which will be felt for decades.
@psytaatysp2564
@psytaatysp2564 7 жыл бұрын
where did i say that? :D i would guess you think that because i said i meditate since i'm 15 and then said my depression lasted a decade? I'm 25 now not 15 anymore, had depression since early puberty, still fucked up imo :D And totally agree with you @mike4ty4 Just want to say that prohibition is more dangerous than the effects of every illegal drug. It's not just those helpful substances that should be legal or that it only should be legal for psychology/research. Drugs will be consumed anyway, mankind used drugs since we popped in existance. With prohibition you get dangerous cuttings in your drugs, you don't know how pure it is and therefore it is hard to get the right dose, you get in contact with black market which can lead to dangerous criminals and violence, you don't seek help if you have a drug related problem because of fear of the law, and what Al Capone showed while alcohol was illegal is that you give power to gangs and criminals if you let them sell the drugs. If you get busted you can lose your job etc which leads to a downwards spiral. All in all prohibition with the purpose to protect people does the opposite and has killed many people or ruined their lives. And sorry for bad english hope you can understand it

It’s a excellent tool if you have a nice thinking mind you can be your own psychologist. Today I can say that I only have success in my professional life because the things that the LSD teach me.

10 years has passed since my last trip on LSD but during the years I used to take it every month I remember everytime was something different and my thought patterns changed quite a lot, for example I am much more prone to look at a subject from more than one prospective, and I can control my emotions more easily than before. On the other hand I have to say my thought tend to be much less straightforward which is not a great thing when you need to catch a situation or make a decision quickly. There are even other things, some bad and some good, that are changed after my time with LSD, but generally I think it made my personality somewhat deeper...

I have some mental issue that my parents refused to have diagnosed as a child and even as a young adult. I was told it was HDHD but had a hard time adjusting to people and changes around me. I suffer from some sensory and neurological sensitivity. It was simply assumed that I was fussy and clumsy. I was terrible at socialising with other children, spoke too much and was fascinated by small details. I now suspect it could be something on the autism scale. Anyhow, it caused a lot of depression and self-loathing. Nearly a year ago I finally decided that I was beyond help and that experimenting with LSD would either destroy me completely forcing me to get professional help or cure some of my issues. Fortunately, after one drop of something imported from California, the way I viewed the world and myself in it changed entirely. The change seems to be permanent. I have no desire to try it again unless my anxiety and self-loathing find it's way back. In addition, I tried some E a week after and found it reduced sensory and neurological sensitivity. This effect lasted only a month. I wish everything wasn't always labelled evil or illegal because there are definitely benefits in micro dosage.

Let me say this, as a teenager I had a few profound trips. yes I was seeing crazy stuff and lost myself, but what I took back fundamentally changed my outlook on the world. Even about 6 years later I still carry that changed way of thinking. I don't think everyone should go willy nilly on Acid but for some it really can have profound effects. Trumpkins Revenge. lSD is extremely commonly cut with another drug called N-BOMe which is extremely dangerous and as little as two tabs can kill you. the drug tends to only give visuals with no real change to emotion or consciousness. general rule of thumb is "if its bitter she's a spitter" because NBOMe tastes extremely bitter while LSD has almost no taste or a slightly metallic one. stay safe

Thoughts and the outside world are not 'the same thing', but they are all part of the same process. Thoughts are the responses of combinations of information, ideas and so on stored as memory in the brain. Meaning the whole cosmos, the world, the environment which grows the organisms and so on isn't a bunch of separate processes from the material/electrical processes that are thought. All thought is the response of memory, recorded by the brain from experiential input. There is no magic 'you' trapped inside your brain controlling thoughts.. you ARE your brain, body, thoughts etc. The idea that you are separate from everything else is just another thought, a play. While things like LSD cause hallucination and so on the loss of sense of self is in fact more real than the completely fictional and invented 'sense of self' we all, mostly, seem to have. Identity is an illusion, given to you by your specific upbringing, society, culture, language etc etc. In reality you are no different to everyone else, but these brain-organisms have the capacity to imagine their own artificial world to live in. You are also everyone else, there is no separation. Only you can only experience one brain at a time, such is the infinite, limitlessness of existence.

I would love to see what my brain looks like considering the dose amount I enjoy these days. People talk about bad trips but just aren't ready to see or fathom what's about to be put in front of them, most people microdose but I find most comfort in high doses when things break beyond the normal limits of most people's reality. I had ten of these little pieces of paper, shared them with my cat. Only gave him a half one. At some point I telepathically communicated to the cat that from now on, if he wants to go out, he must come close, look into my eyes and meow once - I would then know he wants me to open the door. It was a friendly talk while chilling on a sofa. He just listened, relaxed, happy. Since then he always comes close, looks at me, does meow once then sits and waits for me to open the door instead of annoying me with non-stop meowing. He played stupid before, but that night changed him forever.

I took Mushrooms with one of my friends in high school and we basically experienced the same trip. We were able to know what the other was going to say and were feeling the same emotions, a very surreal experience to have when I had never even heard of that being a thing. At the end of the trip we were both slouching on my parents couch and, while still tripping a good bit, we both looked at each other and sat up straight. In the very small amount of time it took to sit up completely, we went from tripping to sober while maintaining eye contact and immediately started talking about it. It was such a weird experience

Both experiences were life long memories and amazing insights in to the world and my mind. The potential for this substance in psychological therapy is huge if done properly. I took LSD 8 months ago, and it has changed me beyond comprehension! I don't want to sound out there but it's to that degree that I have to express this: "Those who have not done LSD and confirm that they are so called know it all's , are still slaves to their own mind." LSD fress you from depression on the first time. It Sparks new thought patterns that even make you curious of where it came from. LSD connects you to the Creator but not in the sense of meeting an entity. You meet the universe!!!!!!!!! Try it and do it on a small portion so you don't freak out. Be safe and know your stuff. Have fun trips!
