the trailer doesn't make sense . Damien was literally born out of a jackal from what the first film implies. I hope they explain it in this new movie because it's clearly giving clues a human woman will birth the kid.

It looks like a lot of people commenting havent even seen the official trailer thats out. Its incredible. Im hoping the movie is that good. And to the legacy fans that are commenting, a little piece of info that slipped after this film was announced, the title of the movie during production was "The Jackal", so we'll have to wait and find out... 🤨

Somebody on Facebook mentioned a thought that could save the jackal thing despite what we see in the trailer. The woman gives birth to the animal which will then later give birth to damian. Maybe the jackal is a baby which grows at a phenomenal rate carrying the fetus. If this woman gives birth to an animal that will be simething.

@@Kirby-gu1lf I don't think the woman giving birth in the beginning of the new trailer is actually Damien's mother. It's either young Silvia in the film because she looks a lot like the actress listed on IMDB, or it's the younger girl Carlita's mother. It turns out Carlita's last name is "Skianna" like Maria Scianna aka The Jackal and since I've found out I am SHOOKETH.

Everyone complaining stop, this is a direct prequel to the original omen. This ain’t a remake or a reboot. They are showing us how he was born. It’s actually a fantastic idea honestly. Get your head out of your asses.

Cool... They never really got into Damien's real Mom outside of what's seen at the cemetery, nor much about the time she spent at the hospital where she had the child, and what the followers did to the Thorn's own infant son when he was born there on the same day...Remember that the hospital burned to the ground not long after the elder Thorn's consent to the switch, with the fire conveniently starting in the records room...

Ok someone said the title during production was originally The Jackal which gets me thinking. Perhaps Damien will indeed be born from a jackal. Maybe these trailers are messing with us on purpose?? Not a good film. Where's the originality? Where's the authenticity before the 1976 film? If this is a prequel I looked forward to watch then it has no promises going to the theatre on the day of its release. Damien was born of a freakin animal! They scrap that to change the story of which Damien was born of a human mother. Not really happy.
