When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate. “The First Omen” stars Nell Tiger Free (“Servant”), Tawkeef Barhom (“Mary Magdalene”), Sonia Braga (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”), Ralph Ineson (“The Northman”), and Bill Nighy (“Living”). The film is directed by Arkasha Stevenson (“Legion”), based on characters created by David Seltzer (“The Omen”), with a story by Ben Jacoby (“Bleed”) and a screenplay by Tim Smith & Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas (“Firestarter”). The producers are David S. Goyer (“Hellraiser”) and Keith Levine (“The Night House”) and the executive producers are Tim Smith, Whitney Brown (“Rosaline”), and Gracie Wheelan.

Wow if you caught that without you reading it somewhere then you are observant as hell. Have u seen where evil lurks yet?? If u haven't and you decide to watch it make sure to look at the house on the front roof in the very last scene . When I noticed it I still have yet to read about the Easter egg anywhere. I love little hidden details in horror but it is possible what I saw was just in my head and the acid started to take hold lol

The choice of having the trailer backward is very very interesting (coupled with that incredible music, almost makes me want to watch the movie). To me it can mean two things linked to story. One, we are going backward to go back in time before the event of the original movie. Two, the church is out of his way by creating something evil and so goes in the wrong direction, backward.

Same here. Looks like they are going full blast on the mind F based visuals and choices, I dig it. It surely can't be worse than what they tried in the TV movie, they wanted to do the same thing but with it being TV and the director being bad at what he did it failed at it. Yes - Damien was born of a jackal. If this movie ignores that fact, it surrenders its claim of being a "prequel," and betrays itself as nothing more than a Hollywood con job attempting to ride the coattails of the classic 1976 film. Let's hope that's not the case!

Just reversed the last sound effect heard at 0:58 When reversed, it's actually "Look Damien, it's all for you!" from the original 1976 "The Omen" -- the scene where Damien's nanny kills herself. So smart to include that in a trailer where EVERY shot is reversed. Looking forward to this one!

I hope the film does address that Damien was born of a jackal - Maybe the movie will create the idea of a jackal disguised in female human form, which could work. As a prequel you need continuity to detail. The director should not shy away from such a big plot point from the original film. Especially when you see the skeletel remains of his birth mother in that cemetary in the original Omen.
