Honestly, Heechul does come out very strong and cold sometimes, even myself as a Super Junior fan know that. But we also have to know that Heechul is very honest and he did give a lot of heartwarming comments that really did show a lot of compassion and care. He does care for Kep1er and he wishes for their success.

16:18 When he said "그건 아냐". It wasn't mean "that's not true." More like "that was not the case" 16:22 "채현이가 되게 마른 건데, 근데 아이돌은 비교가 돼" is translated as "she's very skinny, but (the problem is) idol always get compared to other idols."

The subtitles are inaccurate, do ensure that they reflect the actual words said so that people are not unfairly wronged. The subtitling team needs to do better or be held accountable for their mistranslations.

Just a heads up, there is a mistranslated part that is causing misunderstandings. Heechul doesn't say "That's not true" when the mc says Chaehyun is still very skinny, he says "thats not it" and then interjects to offer his own perspective as an idol. He says Chaehyun is very skinny but idols get compared. He does not say "when she's with other idols she doesn't look skinny". This incorrect translation is being thrown around on twitter to trash him. A user named Mindy cleared it up even though they are not a fan of his just because they dislike misinformation more. Just putting this out there before someone misunderstands (Edit: Subtitles are fixed)

He never said anything bad about her body and couldn't have been more empathetic and validating towards her feelings. Its because he knows what she is going through which is why he said it. He, in a nutshell said, the problem is not with you but with the industry and netizens.

The problem of kpop stans these days, every time their faves visit on variety shows, they always want to say something negative about the host. That's the reason why some variety shows in Korea like Knowing Bros are getting boring now, They are afraid to cancel out by these dramatic fans. Their jokes are not the same as before. It is not because they're running out of scripts, but viewers (specially gg stans) with close minded were stopping them for doing that. And they are also the one who talking about why varieties these days are not as good as before.

Heechul opinion about unhealthy skinniness that actually dont make any different in screen is good observation. It's just make the idol look like skeleton, almost like what you saw in pictures of nazi captives or any starvation people condition in the past Also can the show add like little games, so when the chefs cooking, the guest not being bored and also in table too after eating ,so it make the video longer? Watched this episode because of the hate tweet to Heechul in X. After watching it I dont see anything wrong with what he said?? The eng sub here literally said "thats not the case for idols" and explained why. He didnt fatshamed the girl at all. The girl even agreed with what heechul said. @@Bennime_Once the subtitles were inaccurate and some hateful person on X decided to take edited screenshots from it and post this narrative that Heechul body shamed Chaeyon when that absolutely wasn't the case. It was immediately disputed by fans and even non fans of Heechul who criticized that user for taking the clips out of context and the incorrect subs. Even with the incorrect subs, his message was still clear but some people are deliberately obtuse and choose to see it negatively just so they have a reason to hate on Heechul. Regardless, it has already been spread by thousands of people and they were commenting the most vile things about Heechul. It seems this channel caught wind of their mistake and made corrections.

Tbh, the only negative thing I've noticed about Heechul is that he dated Momo, who is much younger than him (I'm not a fan of age gap especially when the gap is 10 years above and also I'm worried to Momo's career before), but the other scandals that Kpop fans that had created for him are really disappointing. You might despise him for dating Momo, but don't be so low that you need to misinterpret his words. Because the truth is there. You can't always rely on screenshots or altered videos. Unless you simply want high engagement because many new fans, particularly gg stans, despised him. So it makes no difference whether your post is reliable or not. You can control them because they are young and naive. But someone with a trust issues like me, I need to search first before I give my own opinion. And this so-called body shame is completely out of context. He never did that if u watch the whole conversation, far from what I've seen on Twitter. Btw he was pointing out that no matter how much weight you gain or lose, people will still criticize you. That is a harsh truth for all Kpop idols out there. Just like how skinny idols were criticized for being too skinny as well the others who gained weight. He has the point, but the problem is you never accept it because you hated him . Heechul is not the only idol who experiencing this kind of misinformation but most of idols out there. And you wonder why Kpop idols ended their lives like that. You guys are the problem. Actually I blame most of the western fans that made Kpop more sensitive. Of course Kpop fans are toxic since then but far for being sensitive and dramatic like now. Because if u live in 2nd gen and 3rd gen era u cannot survive. Don't blame 4th/5th gen idols for giving you less interaction because it's fans fault not them.
