Marathon has completely carried some of my games recently. The fire rate feels like I'm playing with pre-full release winfield with the insanely fast two taps. It's a whole lot of fun to play with. As always, you are insane, Hornet. Keep up the awesome work, man!

I think it needs to get reeled in a bit. At least make the ammo capacity smaller. Like seriously sixteen shots? This thing is not only accurate but like its moniker stays in the fight for a long time. Which some might find ok. But if its performing as well as it is. Something should be traded out to equalize it a bit.

I actually had quite the opposite experience. I went from 4 to high 5 stars by playing exclusively the marathon. Long range shots are working like a charm, but I have not played it with fmj. It's an absolute Headshot mashine for me. Also very workable in closer ranges. I absolutely love the marathon with normal ammo!

@@darealrulezbreaker9493 You can hear the first one climb the ladder. Still suspect but the second kill....come on bruh there was 0 info that guy was there. We're about to go back to the old Ratcha Z type days where he didn't even try to hide his ESP by hitting a wallbang 2 out of every 5 attempts. I think it's obvious lots of streamers are using ESP when you see them facing BB/YS/SCUMGE who are known cheating clans and yet they wipe them lol. You can also tell by the way they perfectly preaim on peeks when they don't know if someone is crouching or standing or where EXACTLY they are. Audio gets bugged a lot and sometimes someone sound 5m away and are actually 20m away. I've been playing for around 2k hours now and more and more players seem to be abusing derender/no shadows and most likely ESP. The cheating sites and google search trends show massive interesting in them.

@@darealrulezbreaker9493 it's insane for him to have saw the second guy move across. I didn't see him at all I was so focused on looking at the crosshair. He was on screen for like 1 frame lol. KZfaq compression is not the greatest so maybe he was easier to see on the client. The headshot placement on both is still insane. Especially when he looks to be aiming so low. It's not like a CSGO wallbang or preaim where you can reliably aim at headshot level.

Every time I watch these videos I learn something new and I get even better. I think by now I've reached 5 star like 30 or so times bc I play really good into 5 star and then run meme load outs lmao. I ran 3 nitro's 2 days ago, didn't get a single kill gun is too hard to use. But yesterday I was running Springfield and katana and 1v3'd a team full of avtomats it was crazy. They just kept running at me and I kept killing them with katana lmao. Fun weapon also very strong.

People definitely really enjoy shooting walls with the Marathon. Just seems to lend itself really well to spam with its magazine size, fire rate, and access to swift variants. Fell into 3* briefly today from 4* and ran into a really toxic 3* teammate who immediately started calling hackusations when an enemy with a Marathon just started blasting any wood surface available, lmao.

I wouldnt call it a better Winfield honestly. Winfield has the edge for 60+ meter fights with HV.

I don't think it is better.. it's the same as winfield but different with minor differences.. i still prefer the winfield because of high velocity 🙂 And the Winfield with Iron Eye shoots faster than Marathon.. and you could also use levering that shoots faster than Marathon's hipfire.. Maybe Marathon is a good option for no trait hunters and recent prestiging people, or when you just want to use a different gun..

@@zexedearth89 Sure.. but you still can shoot faster with winfield, like: it is faster to two tap with Winfield if you're just going for the bodyshot. And if you get used to it, you just need to move the gun down a little bit between shots and you keep the line of sight.. But sure, Marathon seems an easier gun to use.. My point is... Rachta and Hornet both said "Marathon is a better Winfield", but it isn't.

winfield swift HV is a good headclicker. This is a much better spam weapon and the hipfire is way more consistent at a high rate of speed. Swift has a good hipfire if you don't spam and the levering is decent but not consistent. I feel like this is more unique though because if I'm looking for a fast headclicker I would pick the carbine over the swift personally. Swift definitely has a great reload .

@@BrenoAmado are you sure the winfield is faster? I just tested in the firing range both with iron eye and the marathon is definitely faster to me unless you're considering levering. Winfield is also not a consistent 2 tap gun but the marathon is with FMJ. Because it's already a slow gun and takes a minor hit with FMJ it makes more sense to take this. At 44M the winfield HV takes 3 upper body hits to kill while the FMJ Marathon is 2. The hipfire is also massively better. If I just spam the hipfires I can consistently hit 10/10 headshots on the dummy while at least 2-4 shots with winfield HV will RNG off into the distance. I drew a dot on my screen for consistency. The Marathon shoots considerably faster hipfire than the winfield without levering.

Could be really awesome once it gets some useful variants (Aperture, Bayonet, Talon) and HV ammo. As of now, it's indeed way better than the base Winfield if you don't count with point blank Levering, but the +30 m/s MV for the FMJ when compared to the Winnie can't be properly used without some kind of scope, and if you want to turn this much more MV into something really great to make use of all that crazy headshot range for a Compact Ammo thing (which the Marathon does share with Winnie), then you would need HV ammo (I guess it would translate into more than 50 extra m/s MV). This covers why Aperture and HV ammo could be nice, but why Bayonet and Talon? Simple: The Marathon has no use for the "Swift variant speedloader", as it more or less only served for quickly loading the Winnie after dumping whole the whole tube magazine with usage of the Levering trait. In short, no insane RoF = no use for Swift variant unless you suck at finding the right time to reload. Since the base version of pretty much any gun doesn't offer any advantage in being used over at least one variant (there are some exceptions, like guns whose only variants change too much about their base stats, like the Sparks rifle, the Specter shotgun and Conversion pistol, among others), and the Swift variant is borderline useless, having a Bayonet or Talon variant could at least add some more flexibility to a loadout (neither significantly alter the performance of most guns they are attached to, and always have some utility).

Trash weapon. Clunky reload, sometimes gun dosen't shoot. Also need bulletgrubber. Winfield is better 10x. Levering, ammo types, comfort overall. Mako is very good btw.

Aim train and play shooting games on mouse and keyboard for many years. focus and play intentionally for headshots. Learn what head level is and keep your iron site/crosshair there at all times and remember where you get killed from so you know what spots to look at as you peak in any given game. Time, conscious effort to play well, and practice. Don't forget to eat well, sleep well, and get plenty of exercise it'll make you a better and more clear minded gamer.
