fun fact... this thing was HUGE in brazil back in the 90's... and instead of "Demon" we use to call it "tela branca do Akuma"(Akuma's white screen).... Thanks for doing this series dude... its awesome.

This move was able to do significant damage to Gouken which would’ve killed him if Gouken didn’t remove his soul from his body in time with the Power Of Nothingness and was able to obliterate M Bison but wasn’t enough to destroy Bisons soul completely in which the dictator was able to inhabit the body of Rose

first time i played the arcade of this the dude i was playing was akuma. he finished me with the demon. i asked him how he did that and he told me "same as shoryuken but with 3 punches".... you can imagine how confused i was trying to grab people during teleport until i caught someone else do it

Street Fighter Alpha 1 had the best sound effects, and Street Fighter Alpha 1 on the PS1 is quite possibly the best version. Same with Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the PS1 being it's best version.

The buttons for demon are the same its just a matter of how quick the input is put in for it to work and actually this game has more combos than some of the other games its more free flowing as well as this is where streetfighter x tekken got their light -medium-hard combo from

I've always wondered: is it NOT possible to program a slight delay in the AI? Y'know, to mimic something similar to an actual human reaction time, rather than cheap ass AI that auto reacts to inputs. Has no one else thought of this?!

You normally get a delay reaction from the AI by lowering the difficulty, in Street Fighter games the difficulty usually goes from 1 star to 8 stars, setting the difficulty to 6 or 7 stars is the closest you will get to "human reaction" from the AI, 8 stars tends to be unfair because the computer can block, counter and input supers within one frame you're vulnerable.

Very entertaining series. Thanks, Max! I will laugh so hard though if Capcom has been trolling us this whole time and Akuma is not revealed tomorrow. Always loved Charlie's stage in this game and Ryu/Guy's for the nostalgic value of living in Japan.

Awesome Video,Max and l like how you keep on going,trying to take the opponent even if the outcome looks bleak. And l do have a suggestion. The Next Time you do,try to search for the moves that Akuma can do in the next game and try them out in the training mode so you can get used to them

Ken gave a very nice sequence of kicks, but you play well. And because the Akuma sometimes jumps up and arrives on the ground he falls down.

second favorite, fireball wars with sagat max rank hehe rarely lose as ryu and akuma, when playing as Ken, leaping mid kick to clear the fb and heavy shoryuken OR light kick and instant on ground heavy tatsumaki ahhhh the memories.

I actually enjoyed the matches against Charlie the most! The AI got some nice confirms into Somersault Justice. The Double KO was epic too haha.

Raging Demon is indeed weird in this version cause not only the timing is pretty specific but command for doing it is actually LP, LP, →, LK without the HP in the end.

alpha 1 raging demon was hard as balls to do,thankfully after alpha 2 and up the raging demon was easier to do, plus on alpha 1 i always did the demon facing the right.

Since you're featuring akuma, please check out "Ten Gouki" on "Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service" for the Dreamcast. It's shin akuma in Super SF2X, but with his raging demon usable. ;)

Also, fun fact: In this game you didn't have to press HP at the end of the RD sequence, it pulls as soon as you press Forward. They added HP in Alpha 2.

You should invite your friends over and have a Hyper Street Fighter Alpha tournament with the different versions of Akuma. There are also hidden Ism's that can give you the Marvel,SSF2T and SF3 version Akuma moves. You need to have Alpha Anthology on PS2 or find a Bin file of it to play though.
