I would like to say a massive thank you to Paul Holland for this interview, and of course to Matt. It was very interesting and what gave me a pause for thought was the positive and negative scales. Something I have thought about but only for a couple of seconds. However this has now made me think more about this important point. So I would like to say again to Mr Holland a big thank you for inspiring me.👏👏👏👏

A truly fantastic Podcast. Paul Holland appears a really genuine person. I am sure his wife is more than aware of his gratitude towards her for her for all of the support she gives him. But I hope that those other anglers he has taken the time to mention throughout this podcast see just how much gratitude he has for them. Well done Guru, I am looking forward so much to Paul Hollands return Podcast.

I have always thought Paul Holland was a genuine guy and very passionate about his fishing but Matt Godfrey l hold my hands up and say as a fellow South Yorkie what a top bloke you are too. I have enjoyed all the pod casts you and the team have put out but this has to be amongst the very best. It was very open and thanks to Paul for letting us in to his world. Well done Matt excellent cast.

What a top bloke Paul Holland is. Always liked watching Paul Holland how humble he is. Loved to see he was more happy for his wife he won it than himself and can he send me some off that black salt could do with some luck 👍

I think this is my favourite one so far such a humble human and so honest with it I think match fishing would be a better place if people had the same outlook well done Paul and as ever well done Matt and Toby

Brilliant podcast about a brilliant angler and person 👍... When you start to believe the hype and start to become blaise about your fishing you're on a slippery slope to being out of the frame. Paul has the desire, skill and attention to detail in pursuit of perfection to achieve that extra 1%.One of the best anglers in the country. Well done guys for the podcast

Met Paul at monks lake 4 a few years back on a Preston practice match for the semi final, which he won. He was feeding micros with a fruit shoots bottle top. He gave me a few and I went on to win a few matches feeding with these. Such a nice approachable bloke. Paul's advice to Andy in his last fisho win ultimately won Andy his 2nd title, Paul advised Andy to stop feeding the bomb line for a while to see if he got a response. 5 mins later Andy's tips bending with a 10lb carp on. Paul's a great angler and deep down he knows he's very good. Just a very humble guy.

Wonderful, loved every minute, informative in so many ways and I can't wait for the follow up podcasts. I was unlucky/lucky to be pegged next to Paul on Polywyn 2 years ago on the Guru Festival. I was given a master class in commercial match fishing. Such a nice guy, unassuming and totally professional.

Went to White acres in the autumn. Very disappointing. Weather killed the fishing however other factors came into play. Staff seem to assume you have been there before and seem reluctant to offer any help. One of our party won the residents match and it was only through coincidence we found out he had won a paid invite back with caravan paid for. We was almost in the vans ready to drive home before we found out how to go about him registering for it. Nothing was said to him when he was receiving the match winnings. The lakes themselves looked tatty and seeing sick and dying fish around the place didn't make for good reading. Maybe i was expecting too much after reading about how brilliant the place is for so many years. For me they seem more interested in making the place into a full on kids holiday resort rather than the mecca of match fishing.
