I only knew about Five Nights at Freddy's because of the golden era of Dan and Phil LOL How disappointing that they did not deliver a good entertaining film, if they wanted to go the easy path, they could have just done some sort of "Night at the Museum" / "Home Alone" with tons of jump scares, and they would have still got a PG13 😆 The lightning looks good, though. And the cinematography, and Josh's acting! If there's a sequel, I hope they get a more dynamic plot, and shorter running time 😜 As always, have a lovely week! Cheers!!

I’ve been thinking of watching this movie since I saw it’s on prime but now I’m not so sure bc it definitely sounds boring. I’m not a fan of off screen deaths and it sounds like that’s what happens in this movie if we don’t get any fight scenes or gore. Blumhouse seems hit or miss with the movies they put out and they’ve been pumping out a lot lately. I actually went down the rabbit hole of their films and saw The Lords of Salem on there and I had no idea they had their hands on that one. Unpopular opinion but I love and appreciate Rob Zombie movies. Lords of Salem on the other hand was not my cup of tea and now that I see blumhouse was involved maybe that’s why lol. I still do watch it like every two years or so just to see if my feelings towards it change, they haven’t. Anyways, love and appreciate your videos 💖

i don’t mind rob zombie movies, but i’ve not watched many of them ! i need to watch more; but i’ve never watched lords of salem, so that might be a watch for tomorrow … interesting comment, i love that you noticed all the detail about blumhouse, it’s impressive thanks for the lovely comment, very appreciated !! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

@@PavelTalks House of 1000 corpses is probably the best rob zombie movie according to everyone haha. I love Captain Spaulding 🤡💖. I also thought 31 was a fun watch bc the characters in that movie are so crazy. Lords of Salem is just a little too weird and too many satanic vibes for me lol. I feel like I only notice blumhouse so much bc it seems like every horror movie that comes out lately is by them. Hope you enjoy whatever you watch next ☺️

As a fan of the franchise I was satisfied with the film it’s everything I could ever wanted for a FNAF film the cameos were fun music was outstanding and the cinematography was incredible. Josh and Matthew also did good in their performances the kills are quite eh but the max one was quite disturbing and a good kill and the story I quite enjoy although I was disappointed with the horror aspect not really that scary more of a thriller I was glad with the lore tho still a fun watch 9/10

So some comments on the review, from a fan; While I definitely do understand and kinda agree with some of the complaints, there are some that I kinda feel are off. For a starter, the franchise has never really necessarily been about just mindless murder robots. The franchise has always had kinda an underlying story, and lore, and backstory, centered a lot around grief and such. While yes, the classic sit and survive gameplay was a big part of the original games, it always kinda felt inevitable that something like a movie adaptation wouldn't be exactly like that, we even saw this happen with novels about FNAF. Neither was the jumpscares, or murderous robots killing people and causing chaos, outright the main point of the games. As I mentioned while yes such things definitely had a big part to play with them, things such as the lore and characters, and grief, and backstory and such, always tended to take a bigger focus. Like the aforementioned previous FNAF novels/books as well, like what happened with them where they had a lot of strong focuses on the lore, it always felt inevitable that a movie adaptation of the games would do the same thing. Heck if anything, a lot of said mentioned complaints, are actually TENFOLD in the games and their lore. To put it in perspective, for example, in the game lore, Mike is actually WILLIAM's son unlike in the film, with Mike accidentally outright murdering his brother in the games after accidentally shoving him in the jaw of an animatronic on his birthday as a prank, crushing his skull and killing him, after Garrett became scared of the animatronics due to something he saw, and William experimented on his kids in a fake household, where thanks to hallucinogenic gas they viewed mannequins as nightmarish animatronics, and then afterwards, from an underground bunker directly below his house that he built, William would observe said experiments, before then placing a walkie talkie and camera inside of a plush owned by Garrett to observe him. Then there's the cop character, Vanessa, who in the games, worked for the company Fazbear Entertainment, and after beta testing an in-universe virtual reality game made by the company to cover up and make light of their past, became infected by a computer virus, that is an AI designed to mimick everything it's sees, that's now copying William, that went inside the VR game, and so she then became it's slave, where then when the virus takes full control of her mind, she becomes "Vanny", while wearing a white rabbit suit, that also has a mask variant of it's face, that can interact with the augmented reality world and interact with security systems at Freddy's. I think you get the point by now but essentially, if anything, the lore and backstory was actually DUMBED-DOWN for the movie adaptation lol. I guess the thing to say after all of that, I guess is that it maybe depends on what your expectations were going in. Maybe if you're a long time fan none of that would've been new to you, but if you're new to the franchise, the expectations would've prolly revolved more around the stereotypes previously mentioned, then obviously resulting in said complaints and surprises with how the film actually played out, if that makes any sense. I guess a big factor with this film, was that it was made for the fans. This was stated by the creator of fnaf, it was stated by the film's director, it was stated by producers, and it was even stated by some of the actors. So it's goal there was rather obvious. Although, in a reddit post made by the creator of FNAF after the release of the film, he did confirm feedback to the first one was being taken into consideration, which is actually something he's known to do in the past, so there's that, and according to early reports for pre-production of the sequel, changes were being made to the script, according to feedback, most importantly including making a bigger focus on horror for it. So hey, here's to hoping some things are improved there

wow!!! i re read that genuinely 4 times, i didn’t realize how much lore there was - its making me want to dive more into the fnaf world and understand it better. By the sounds of it, YOU should’ve been directing the movie ahah, you definitely know a lot, enough to educate me, someone who knows genuinely nothing. I guess i went into it thinking “this is gonna be a horror movie” when in reality, it’s obviously more than that, so my judgement wasn’t fair, i viewed it as a basic, bog standard horror movie. Saying all that, i’m still gonna watch the sequel, and if they’re taking all the criticism on board, it’ll be a solid movie. Thanks so much for the comment - I really really appreciate it, so much effort and thought, thank you 🙏🏻

the only thing confusing me is the vanny / vanessa part, saying she’s copying william etc, but i’ll google it!

@@PavelTalks glad the comment was helpful! Although, some more proper elaboration on the Vanny/Vanessa thing in the games; Essentially in the games, Vanessa was a beta tester at Fazbear Entertainment, that tested in-universe games, some being made by the company to try and cover up and make fun of their past due to rumours circulating about it. One of them was a virtual reality game. And so essentially, there's a thing called the "Mimic", where it was designed to copy anything and anyone that it sees, ranging from actions, to even people's voices. However after witnessing some questionable stuff, it turned incredibly violent and murderous. So then at some point during the development of the VR game, it's AI "Mimic1" was used in the development of the game, possibly to see if anything it saw could help programming animatronics in it. However from there, due to there being stuff about William in the game (by this point in time, William himself is officially dead), it started now mimicking William. So like for example in the VR game, it took on the digital avatar of a Yellow Rabbit model seen in the VR game, and then in the real world, it modified it's endoskeleton so much so, to make it look like an attempt at copying William/"Springtrap" (springtrap is the name given to William, after he was springlocked in the yellow rabbit, as seen at the end of the film). The AI then wanted to escape the VR game back into the real world, and tries to do so, through the players, by infecting their minds through the headsets they wear (this is seemingly given further elaboration later on that it was done through the headsets possibly putting an implant in the wearer) The main victim it then ended up choosing, was Vanessa. So then in one of the later games, there's a giant Freddy's complex called the "Pizzaplex", and through hacking, Vanessa's granted the job of head security officer there. Then on top of that, for when the virus fully takes control of her mind (and not just sitting in the back of it), her persona for when that happens is nicknamed "Vanny", and she makes a white rabbit suit for the "Vanny" persona, carrying on the whole legacy of William wearing a rabbit suit and such. Another thing to note of interest is how they adapted that in the film. So instead of her being mind controlled by an AI copying William, they made her in the film his actual daughter being manipulated by him, and how like in the games she becomes a security officer at Freddy's, in the movie, she becomes a police officer that often visits there

as a fan who is into the lore, I was mildly entertained throughout the majority of it, until the ending. I hated the ending. and looking back at the film retroactively, my disappointment becomes immeasurable and my day is ruined. This movie was a massively wasted opportunity, and to me, the lore felt like someone read the fnaf synopsis for all 8 or 11 of the games and some of the books and tried to cram in as much as they possibly could and discarded a lot of the context in order to do it. which is weird, considering I know that Scott Cawthon, the original creator of the games, was largely responsible for how this movie was made.

that’s what i was saying!! it feels like its fan bait and just everything crammed to try please as many people as possible - that’s a recipe for disaster. I’m glad even though you’re a fnaf fan, you are able to critically look at something you love and not see it through rose tinted glasses; here’s hoping the second movie is better 🤞🏼

I’m a huge Five nights at Freddy’s fan and I find it very mid. The game lore is much better compared to the movie lore. The kills disappointing beside the girl who gets bitten in half. I’m making a FNAF movie rewrite and I might post it on my channel soon
