yes this Flash was faster than this Quicksilver. And this Quicksilver was probably about twice as fast as the Flash successor at that time. but that's not really the important point. PS: There is a back door in the story. The potentially fastest was disqualified because her feet touched the ground too rarely.

the fact that people most of the people failed to realized that during this time period many of dcs writer also work for marvel and vice versa so its not a surprised that some of their characters look a like they dont sue each other

Just shows that comic lovers love comics and marvel.and DC were filled with ppl who loved comics. If it werent for the business side of things we would have seen WAAAY more collaborative efforts between the 2 companies. Theu definitely respected and enjoyed each others work

IIRC, the story was written by the late Mark Gruenwald; who was a major comic geek. He wrote most of the JLA issue of DC's official fanzine, The Amazing World of DC Comics, in the 70s.

People think companies are enemies, but they aren’t. MultiVersus, Space Jam, Rescue Rangers movie, Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, Marvel DC amalgam universe (merged characters, it’s super cool), and moments like this. They compete for profit, but there is no company beef

@@sandwichqueen they aren’t merging, that was Disney+ and Hulu (which was already owned by Disney) Disney+ and Max are getting a bundle deal, I believe Netflix and Max already have one

You're half right. Sometimes, companies won't even compete for profits. Sometimes, they'll collude and come up with under the table agreements to make sure conditions and prices are favorable to all parties involved.

I'm not sure whether this was the case retconned or not during Crisis on Infinite Earths, but I'm pretty sure some stories have outright stated Barry GENERATES the speed force rather than only drawing on it like other speedsters, which is what makes him traditionally faster than Wally and the go-to for multiverse shenanigans

The story is older than the Speed Force. Cosmic events always change the past of DC heroes. I think there were also 1 or 2 stories where the Flash accessed his old powers after losing the connection to the Speed Force.
