Good, good a Flash video . Over the years , our favorite love speedster was haunted sometimes by nightmares ,started more seriously right after Zoom Broke Back Mountain him but at the time he was still learning to be a speedster, but Psych ? In the episode where he lost his memories , Julian and Csisky talked about how they didnt count for Barry s speed , Barry is way faster in his mind , Caitlin also confirmed this many times . Barry is fast enough that no nightmare should be possible to catch him . With Bloodwork it was a total plot thing ,they didnt have the time to do this big fight scene so they locked Barry and Bloodwork in a nightmare and that was it , but Barry should not be possible having nightmares at his current speed

@@NonStopJayy Well nowadays he is faster than them or even as fast so it should be easy for him now but with the way the speed force can now boost his speed with all the forces together who knows. I just hope they don't pull a tachyon (by that I mean they had tachyons in season 2 and never used it on speedster villains like savitar or the race with zoom in the season finale of season 2)

I think in 1x08 it was phasing and more for shock value and probably just because his rage just made him do it without him realizing, it could be valid because of how hyper he was during the fight.

I always assumed that he just used his speed or higher metabolism to burn the tranquilizer out of his system. Hence the green mist and why Oliver was surprised that he could do that. I never thought he was phasing in that episode. So I agree with your theory, it makes more sense.

I think Barry just moved fast enough to evaporate the tranquilizer using body heat because if Barry phased it would just be a liquid.

I think that he just destabilized himself to let the horse tranquilizer pass through since for him to phase (through solid matter) he has to vibrate at the natural frequency of air, maybe he wasnt moving fast enough for it to actually phase through solid matter? I havent finished the vid yet so im just gonna wait

@@lunarSmite to phase you have to vibrate at the frequency of air. What im saying is that he destabilized but couldnt match the frequency of air, yet the heat from the vibrations vaporized the tranquilizer hence why it was a mist that dissipated into nothingness. He wasnt fast enough was my point.

It's obvious by now that season 1 writers just didn't have a good sense of development for Barry's abilities (having him move faster than lightning while he's still green etc), but I appreciate how you try to explain everything in-universe. It sucks when a good show is plagued by this issue. That's what happens when every episode is written and directed by a different person.

I think it’s phasing, it’s just that it’s such a low level of phasing that Barry doesn’t even consider it new. A gas’s atoms are farther apart than a solid’s, so it’s probably a lot easier for Barry to phase a gas than a solid. He doesn’t consider it phasing then, just vibrating like how he vibrates his face and vocal cords.

One thing I never understood about The Flash phasing: if he is phasing his entire body to go through objects, how come he doesn’t go through the ground when running. When he runs through a building, he has to phase his feet as well. I never understood how he could still run while phasing through something.

I have two theories 1. He was under control of the rage that bivolo put on him therefore he wasn’t in control so maybe he just phased but then he forgot it because he wasn’t himself when he did it. 2. He just speed himself up to remove the toxins

To do it consistently and at will, you need to learn. But since he CAN do it, it COULD happen accidentally. Maybe? Clark Kent, Superman shot heat visions before learning to control it.

I always thought he was just vibrating his entire body as fast a possible, we know he can do it to hide his face and voice, so with him being so angry, he just did something smart in the fight for once and vibrated so fast he evaporated it out of his body.

For years I grew up reading how the Flash was vibrating his molecules to slip between the molecules of whatever object he wanted to pass thru, and now when it's introduced, it's called "phasing" (which makes me think of Kitty Pryde). The word really doesn't do it justice. :)

How strong/ powerful is Iron Man in the Mcu? ( specifically Infinity War/Endgame) the armors in the final two chapters of his life are truly sensational in their combative capabilities and increase his strength and durability to the level of Thor/ Hulk level threats without the need of hulk buster armor.

In the arrow episode I always took as not vibrating but more moving back and forth really quickly (almost like he's shaking) bouncing around the toxin until it was gone

He could have accidently phased due to shaking with anger having just been hit by an arrow from a friend and the anger enhancement causes that shaking to increase and go fast enough to phase

I literally wondered this too when it happened. I remember thinking, “How and when did Barry learn to do that? I know he’s able to do it. But, he hasn’t before this episode.” Maybe they filmed the Trickster episode first and had to rearrange the order of release for the episodes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen season 1. Someone correct me if my theory is wrong. I’m not being facetious, please correct me.

I think it could be that when Barry is opening a locked door he vibrates his hands to break the lock, when Barry is talking w iris before she knew he was the flash he vibrates his body, I think he’s jsut vibrating really fast here to the point that the gas could leak out of his body, but phasing he can phase out of basically anything so maybe he just vibrates fast but not fast enough and didn’t know he could vibrate faster to phase

I got a question on the FLASH season 1. In season 1 episode 20 Cisco vibes for the 1st real time and saw the other timeline that Barry changed because of weather wizard. So my question is that since Cisco can vibe other timelines could he see the original timeline where the reverse flash is from?

I get what you mean but, the molecular levels of gas and solids are different, and when he was mad i dont think he remembered as it might have been a mix of all the chemicals in the brain and the meta human powers and the brain sometimes blocks out certain moments to keep you “happy”? I dont really know why it blocks it out but yea.

in the original series, berry is hit with a new type of drug, which causes him to vibrate, he than phases (uncontrollably) out of the bad guy's lab, and comes out the other wall, where he's back to normal, nor sure what happened, he is than asked (by a kid?) what happened, he says "I was hit with that drug, it make me vibrate through the wall, and now it must have just gotten burnt up by my metabolism" (or something like that). so that kind a gives us "burning a drug" and "wall phasing" at the same time. later (in that series) he learns to phase normally.

For the "Barry would have remembered phasing", maybe Barry did has at some point but since he had no idea what he did (or thought of it as something else), he didn't know he had phased before. An example of that would be, in a totally different universe, Luffy who displays signs of the Conqueror Haki while having 0 ideas about what he just pulled out.

i Believe he was just trying to use his hyoermethabolism as you said vibrating as fast as he could with the drugs moving in his System. I Think that by chance vibrating to increase his methabolism he ended up somewhat phasing, the drug in his stystem was moving throw his blood vessels in micro drops so phasing he probably released this micro drops in the air giving the effects of a gas like sedative.

I always thought it’s the unhinged superhero problem, where they don’t hold back and do things that they usually can’t or won’t. Example: Clark flying in Smallville whenever he isn’t acting normal.

I think he was only able to phase during the Flash vs Arrow episode because through out season 1 and 2 he was always scared to try new things with his power.
