But mortgage rates are on the increase again almost reaching 8% which is making matters worse. In the current Florida market, we need to match people with exactly what they need. There is not a lot of room for errors. You and Brent have a long history of doing just that.

The consumerism mentality is going to need to change. Living (everyday living expenses) have reached a point that the idea of moving up to or even Maintaining a middle class lifestyle is almost unattainable . Take for example Concert tickets which are now often running between $200-$500. and within those outdoor stadiums $16 beers and $20 margaritas - $40 for t shirts!!? And yet here we are spending $500-$1200. We must be crazy as consumers to justify it in our minds. Car payments now at over $700 per month?! Insurance companies charging 20-40% more for coverage ?! But wait there is more ….a lot more. Death by a thousand data points.

I don't even go any longer to concerts. I will not pay $500 for 2 tickets for 1 night. And I am trying to buy a car for work and it is insane. If something dose not change the wealth gap is going to continue to grow. Thank you for your comment.

There is not a shortage. The homes are there. Why are they not selling, or being sold🤔

Sales are up 12.5 % last month. It is off season and rates are so high. That will change.

Housing market will crash just like 2008. I don’t care about statistics, Interest rates or anything else. What goes up this much in short time. Must come down. It’s unsustainable!

No it will not as most people have interest rates under 4 percent. They are not selling, limiting inventory, keeping prices high. When rates start coming down next year home appreciation will continue. New home builders may be the ones hurt right now if they have unsold inventory. Incentives may happen to entice buyers. There is record income tax collections, low unemployment and reduction in inflation rates now.

@@rotart12arx3 you’ve been watching too much Barbara Cochran. If inventory it low but customers are even lower , that makes inventory high. Read that again !!! Another point , with high interest rates and high inflation , expect unemployment to skyrocket very soon. It’s all only a matter of time. Save your cash for the crash !

⁠@@5026944buddy you must don’t know real estate. I’m a use my own self as an example. I brought an investment back in November 2020 with a 2.50 interest rate in the space coast. Super low mortgage and a big cash flow. Even if rent comes down, I can lower my rent and still cash flow nicely. It’s almost doubled in value. Do you know how many people are in this same situation. Tell me how this equals a crash?? People will always have to live somewhere. I’m never letting that property go.

The Fed held rates at 0% for way too long and talked about transitory inflation knowing that they were wrong. Every expert in the equities market called them out on it. It was totally political, keeping rates at 0% so J Powel kept his position in the changing adminstration. That is my opinion but that’s why I answer everyone. I can tell you that this has changed the housing market for ever and made it unaffordable for many people. Washington as a whole needs to start thinking about the American people first not their intrest. They didn't seem to learn from the 2008 crash. This is not a crash its a locked up market. But still a disaster created by poitics. Thank you for your opinion and your comment and sorry to see you go.
