“Three species in three days.” 😂 The State I live in I’ve gotten three species in one day a few times - Ruffed grouse, blue grouse and mountain Quail one day. Chukar, Valley Quail, and Ruffed grouse in one day!

Hard to beat flushers on them ditch parrots! Man.....you boys need to sharpen up your shooting skills! Might need to trade in those Weims for pointers/setters if you're looking to shoot wild birds. You need LOTS of pace to peg savvy Huns/sharpies and a nose to keep up with the frenetic pace. I said "pace", not "range". Slow dogs cannot screw wild birds into the ground the way lightning fast dogs do....just a fact. I'd love to have been there with my pointer and setter carrying my 28 SxS. There'd be some bird cleaning to follow. ;) LOVED this video!! Whoooeee.....!! Just had a glorious hunt on Huns and sharpies on the prairies. Dog-work was spectacular - solid classy points, steady to wing, shot AND fall, retrieves to hand. We confined ourselves to taking 1 bird per gun out of the covies or we would have shot our limit far too soon! Yup, stoned 'em with 3/4 ounce 6s from the 28 gauge but, I use quality ammo. Yoo boyz iz uzin' quantity ammo. ;)
