I also used to watch this on television late night as a kid with my dad, It's a fantastic movie and I really enjoyed listening to you both talk about it

I wasn't sure that I was going to enjoy this discussion, as the movie really gives me the heeby-jeebies. But not having to suffer through those unnerving images in the film certainly made the whole thing more bearable. Another great bit of banter. I agree, it's a Superhero story gone wrong! It's basically Frankenstein's Monster, but Dr. Frankenstein makes himself into said monster.

Haha I'm glad I didn't edit any movie stills to this episode then 🤣 It's amazing how much of the depth you pick up when re-watching as an adult. It's an incredibly layered story

I never understood why the Fly was one of the cult classics that was studied at unit in film studies. I honestly didn’t think much of it but it’s dated compared to my age
