To be clear, I enjoyed the FNAF movie in spite of it being among the dumbest films I have ever seen. However, I can't help but feel like I would've enjoyed any movie with the iconic FNAF characters and setting in it.
However, the fact that many of us will find the film enjoyable does not change the fact that it was laughably bad. Like, it's funny how bad some of it was.
That said, I won't be putting spoilers here in the description (because that would be super lame), so there isn't much I can say - just watch this full review if you really wanna know!

The FNAF movie is among the dumbest films ever made... but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable. More importantly, I have not slept for 50 hours, and making this video was sort of a crazy idea. I need to go to sleep so that I'm rested for tonight - I have tickets to see the FNAF movie again. Obviously my recollection of the film can't be perfect, so there are a few minor sequencing changes as I synopsize the plot.

Mathew Lillard did sign a three picture deal with Blumhouse, but that is not a guarantee that we will be getting two more movies. However, it is very likely that we will since the movie already made a profit before it even released, it’s probably going to make a TON of money, which will motivate both Scott and Blumhouse to make one or more sequels.

Okay, you're gonna like what I have to tell you. It's complicated, but just stick with me here: The FNAF Movie's budget was about 25 million dollars, right? They already made back all the money they spent on production with their deal with Peacock. What does this mean, you ask? It MEANS that ALL the ticket and box office sales? That is PURE PROFIT. So, yeah, this movie is ALREADY turning up enough money to make a profit.

Are we going to ignore the fact that he straight up got many parts of the story wrong in this video? Michael did not convince everyone that they should go to sleep and help him figure out what happened in his dream, they were just making a pillow fort because, y'know, those are ghost *children*, hanging out with a kid who was already shown hanging out in a pillow fort *twice*. He had only asked Abby to ask them to help him find out what happened in his dream the next time he goes to sleep, hence, being on their good side and playing with them (because they're still children, but he might not have known that yet) would be a good idea. I don't remember Vanessa throwing the pills in the lake, but I may have just missed that detail. Vanessa already told Michael when she was taking care of his wounds (the second time) that she was William Afton's daughter, that was the dad reveal, not her going "Dad, NOOO". Honestly, how did you miss that? William said that killing Michael would be "Symmetry", *not "poetry"*, because he'd be taking out both brothers. And you probably noticed earlier when the William looked at Michael's track record he paused at his last name, likely because he thought "Oh shit, this is the guy whose little brother I killed (he has the same last name) and he has a history of violent breakouts. But maybe I can finish him off once and for all and get this taken care of." Now I will admit, the pizzeria starting to collapse was complete bullshit. I'll give him that, we were all thinking that when the ceiling started to cave. However, Vanessa was not left inside the building, Michael grabbed her and brought her outside of the building while it was collapsing. They didn't just leave her in there and she magically appears inside a hospital. Michael also thanked her for frickin saving their lives! And you're all like "He says something nice or whatever, it doesn't matter, they barely knew each other." Come on dude. Were you on your phone while watching this movie? You really need to pay a bit more attention when you watch these movies if you plan on making a video about how dumb it is. I can tell you really wanted to get this video put out as soon as you could to make sure it was just in time for the movie.

@@ISS600 Okay thanks I wasn't sure about that part. I couldn’t agree more. Opening night and he’s out here complaining left and right with little to NO positive feedback. Kinda pisses me off honestly. A channel all about FNAF that can’t seem to be thankful for a *movie* after 8-9 years of it being rumored. Like how can you not smile seeing Mike, William and all the animatronics on the big screen? If he actually cared, he’d be more precise in his “evidence” and criticism. It just seems like he wanted to get this video out for attention/views while the movie was still “fresh”. Really annoying overall. And he even somehow managed to hate on it more in the description of the video. Saying some of it was “laughably bad.” It seems like he’s shitting on the movie for no reason. Scott did a PHENOMENAL job and I am proud of him and his team for creating such a lovely fan-driven film! 🎉

Just wanna point out, After just watching the film. Alot of the review seems to rush the story, like Venessa actual tells mike before he even goes back to freddys that Willam is Her father the killer. only during the final fight is Willam and Steve shown to be the same person. I know its a review nitpick but still. I enjoyed the movie and so did my whole theater. its a love letter to the fans not meant to be a straight up master piece or something. even then I get the, "building Pillo fort scean was strange" was a good point, and not really like the games, but it is a film and not cannon to any story, if ANYthing the way the animatronics follow Willam is very similar to the OG books where they are shown to be some what nice to some of the characters like in this movie. A much more of style fnaf story would be fun, but I see why they didn't do it. spending each night, which is like 20 minutes movie time. Just in an office like the games fighting off the animitroics just would not be a fun story to tell. This movie has a funny, and cool story I would say. While the movie is flawed, no movie is perfect, I think its a good stepping stone for the 2 sequals this film has signed. it shows they can go bloodly with the "Bite of 2000" lol and look amazing and still have a good story, and feel. It feels fnaf all the way through tho. I think the movies just need to be treated more as a fun experience for the fans and not something to be taken VERY seriously.

I think the movie did pretty well in all regards. As a diehard fan myself, i do admit i would love a lore heavy (and accurate) trilogy that has the depth and horror some people think was lacking, but i think the perspective is also needed from someone outside- this is still a movie that wants to attract the largest audience possible, so it's not like they could make the film pander to this niche superfan audience as much as they may want. Yes, some of the timeline breaks are very awkward, but looking from an outside perspective i think that the film does a pretty great job as an introduction

It was at least a good enough start for a trilogy. Like the Mario Movie that came out in April, the producers and creators were likely just a little too afraid to step out of the comfort zone in the first movie and wanted to play it a little safe at first to see if people would actually want to watch these movies. If that's anything to go by, and with the likeliness that this film will be as successful as the Mario movie, they will try to step out of the comfort zone in the next movie when it comes to plot and such.

@e1iteyoshi998 7 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if the Mario movie and this one are comparable despite them both being video game movies. Mario is more well known in the realm of gaming and has more pop culture recognition compared to FNAF. Add on top that FNAF is only 9 years old where as Mario is 30+ years of franchise exposure. Also the case of the Mario movie was mostly more of origin story rather than just adapting a plot straight out of the games vs Blumhouse making their own interpretation of FNAF's lore.

Where him explaining how GREAT of a coincidence this was and BECAUSE VANESSA told him before, the kids are ONLY temporarily stunned, but would recover eventually, meaning its likely an easy remote reset switch since he HAD the suit on and can see when his eye lit up brighter, it activated the control/command showing an even mystical side to it. Honestly, I don't know how you don't like how this was set up, honestly way I like this is the fact it ties in to ritual style ties and why I feel Abby and drawing works perfectly. Though from how this video is going about, most likely no one's going to enjoy this for a few years till someone FINALLY watches it and realizes how great of a film it is, where my opinion if gets a sequel, its a great aging series of horror for kids cause it just gets darker but this one felt like one i could show cause most the time you don't get to see the animatronics because EVERYONE wants to be like Jaws... But again, way I like it, its a great (almost to say it) Goosebumps movie. I mean it has a great set up, performance and worked real well for its quick cut through on scenes to get us right into the action. Where its more of a mystery story with horror in it, which I think why so many people got into it in the first place, since they wanted to know "wait who's this" and so on.

The really cool thing is the first game is a gateway into the 2nd 3rd so forth I believe personally this movie will do the same. On it's own it's a epic love letter to the fans however the dread of a rotten spring trap filled with vengeance will be lit. While being meant for kids I wish only that they showed a bit more of the dead children. I'm fine as is ofc but the dark nature of what happened is what really intrigues people and likewise if the spring lock failure was a bit more brutal it would really contrast well together. I was really hopeful to see the head snap into place but I guess that's a bit too violent for kids 😅

Bro just straight up got worse and worse at explaining the plot as it went on. Like, saying "Michael leaving Abby with the Aunt was just to have Cory in the movie" is stupid, since literally the night before, Vanessa tells Mike she'd shoot him if he brought Abby back there. Saying "the plot would be unaffected" is also dumb, because it's THAT night where Mike gets fucked up, taken and fixed up by Vanessa, and then once learning Abby is in danger, they head back to save her. Having Abby there with Mike at the start of the night would make no sense, because then you have Mike get fucked up and Abby gets killed. It would completely change the plot. And then saying "The animatronics are furious without Abby to calm them" makes no sense. Abby is literally there being lured in by Chica and then chased by Foxy. And Vanessa didn't just "show up" at this point, and Mike didn't randomly have a taser. There was literally an entire ass scene with Vanessa telling Mike about William Afton and how the animatronics can be stunned by electricity, hence why Mike has the taser. And you completely get the final fight scene wrong. Vanessa doesn't "lunge at Afton," she fucking shoots the guy, he chokes her for a bit, then he starts to go after Abby, and THEN Afton gives the old stabby stab to Vanessa. And with regards to the springlocks, you do only see a few actually go into him, but if you listen, you hear them all go off one by one. It's not like he just got stabbed like, three times then dies. And Vanessa didn't get crushed either. Mike and kind of Abby maybe carry her out of the building while Afton is being dragged away. This wasn't even like, a review or anything, just a really poorly done summary that sounds like you slept through the ending or something, idk. These aren't even just minor details or something, they're entire ass scenes and big plot points. And I'm not sure why you're acting like this WON'T get a sequel. Matthew Lillard signed a three picture deal, and the movie OPENED with about $80M already. Fans loved it, it's doing REALLY well, there's no shot this doesn't get a sequel movie, especially with the loose Golden Freddy thread and the big Puppet foreshadowing.

I’ve been a fan most of my life, and have kept up with the lore for years. That being said, I didn’t expect the movie to make too much sense or follow the canon established by the games. So I really enjoyed it! Some of the writing was kinda iffy, but it worked really well as an interesting story based on the games. The ending was messed up a little, but it was satisfying overall Anyways, the title of this video is rage bait, and Theft King misrepresented the movie to make it sound a lot worse than it actually was (it was an alright movie)

That’s what I was thinking the entire movie. I’ve been a fan of the games since 2014 and have kept up with it pretty consistently and really enjoyed the movie. I think he definitely did the movie dirty though and I think a lot of KZfaqrs probably will because it’s not 100% accurate to the lore and isn’t super gory. I think the movie was great and the idea of the animatronics being big chill dudes til they get crossed is fun.

I went in expecting it to be fun but not great from a filmmaking perspective. And honestly, aside from the story and some chracters being 'meh', it's actually an all around decent movie. Even looking at it from a critical filmschool perspective, there's little that's 'wrong' with it, so I don't get why it's being bashed so much by people. Especially when you got folks like Jeremy Jahns or TK here just outright lying or construing the movie for their criticisms.

Honestly I like so much HOW they approached everything, where the movie didn't hold your hands, just connect the dots and hear more about it, where each scene gives us broad spectrums of information through subtext. It makes more and more sense. AND IT DOES NEED to have to HAVE the aunt, because Vanessa LITERALLY said "I'll shoot you if you bring her". Where it make sense SHE KNEW ALL ABOUT THIS, but was afraid, WHY she was able to save mike.

I will say that Vanessa being Afton's daughter gives a decent reason that she knows so much, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that Michael was William's son. One of my favorite things about Fnaf's story is that no matter how many people or things are affected by Afton's deeds, that at the very core of it all its about the Afton family and their story.
@entorri

Vanessa was the only aspect of this film that I didn't necessarily like. In my opinion, she felt a bit misplaced. They kinda used her as an exposition/lore machine, and I didn't like how they just kinda shoehorned her into the narrative from Security Breach. I totally saw the whole "William is my dad" thing coming from a mile away. Part of me thinks it would've been better if they made an entirely new character to fill that role instead of shoving Vanessa into it. Maybe this character is also an older sister to one of the missing children or even related to Henry instead (especially since we got no real nod to Henry even existing in this film). Also, I would've loved to see William more, but part of me feels that we're gonna get his (and hopefully Henry's) backstory woven into the narrative of a Fazbear Frights movie down the line. But outside of that, I got everything that I wanted to see in this movie, even down to the credits song (I screamed so loud at the first note, you have no idea). I was afraid that its PG-13 rating would ruin it for me, but they utilized everything they had within those limits to make a really great experience. I was genuinely surprised with the amount of stuff they were able to pull off and get away with. I went in thinking I wouldn't see any gore. I'm glad I was proven wrong. This film was truly a love letter to fans. The entire theater I was in was so enthusiastic and loud and fun. We laughed, cheered, screamed, joked around- it was seriously so cool. A generation of kids who played/watched the games and are all grown up now, celebrating in a theater together. I don't think there was a single person in the theater who wasn't 100% immersed and engaged. This is the theater experience I love the most, and I'm so happy I got to share it with everybody there. And a side note: I hate how things being "cheesy" or "corny" is percieved as a bad thing nowadays. My favorite movies all fall under that category. The Evil Dead films, for example. I just know that this film is gonna be considered a cult classic years down the line, and hopefully all the sequels will too.

I knew she had to be working with or knows Afton. In security breach she's William's lackey so that was when my suspicion started about her involvement with Afton. Ultimately what made me suspect was that she'd just randomly appear while also suspiciously knew way too much about this place's history and her remarks of how much she loved it as a kid and her fondness for the place being weird unless she had a very personal relationship with Freddy's.

Totally. I thought of an idea that would fix my problem with the movie. Vanessa is actually the older sister of golden Freddy who was supposed to be watching him when he was kidnapped. She now blames herself for his death, and she constantly keeps an eye on Freddy Fazbears Pizza to check on her brother. Micheal Afton is the son of William Afton. Who he thinks is his father is actually his stepfather and Garret is actually his half brother, who William kills to get revenge on his ex-wife.

Slowly, silently collapsing after each stab, finally accepting his fate and embracing it, ready to whatever is going to happen next to him. "I alway come back". Way better than afton crying and yelling on top of his lungs during his death like in the VHS videos, that's how a normal people would react to the springlock failure, not afton, the movie did it right

See I thought the film was great. From a horror movie perspective, I can understand why people would say it's bad, but I still loved it none the less. I said in another comment that I feel as though the fnaf community is changing to be like the star wars community in that they basically hate the content they consume and anyone that enjoys it just gets harshly bullied. Like me and everyone I know personally loved the film, and we will be going to see it again and getting copies once they release whether that's through prime or any other way I can get my hands on it in the UK. I feel as though people's expectations where so far off. Like it was supposed to solve massive pieces of the lore. People forget that this movie is an alternate universe. This Mike schmidt, Vanessa and William Afton aren't the exact same characters/people from the games, although similar.
