The fort scene in the movie really scared the shit out of me cuz I thought they were gonna do a “Together we are FNAF” type of narrative but now with watching it, it makes sense because the people who possess the robots are kids and also they did all that to gain Abby’s trust so they can do what they want with her later. So that scene makes sense to be in the movie and its a fun one too!

I also thought the spriglock scene could be read as William enjoying the irony of it all, knowing this was always how he was gonna go and even enjoying his ow death, thus being too busy thinking of all that to scream. I would've liked it either way.

The Freddy that bit Max in half was the real Freddy, not a spare. The suit she was stuffed in was a purple type Freddy suit that Dawko says is “Shadow Freddy”

i loved how deep it went with afton. it was so close to the game (aftons death) when he gets in the suit in the game and supposably talks bad about the kids judging them and making fun of them, and then in the movie him saying stuff in his last moments such as "look how small you are", "look how ugly you are" i love it.

I watched the movie, and all i can say is that this is now my new favorite movie :)

At first I wanted more out of the springlocks scene, like most people. I understand why because it was pg-13. But I do see that he accepted his fate and was fine with what happened cause he knew he would come back stronger than ever. As we find him and add more flare into the suit. I do think that it should've been more like the FNAF 3 minigame though. Plus we needed a few more minutes of spring Bonnie chasing abby

I just watched the movie today and personally I really enjoyed it! I feel like it definitely pinned down some different theory points and had some nice easter eggs haha

For me I wouldn't want the straight up elements from fnaf game 1 like the toreador march into the movie because of the fact that I wanted this movie to be much more different than the novels and games with different parralels. Since the novel and game lores are different I want the movie's lore to have its own differences too based on the reason that fnaf really has no true mainstream timeline. I'm really happy that Scott didn't decide to copy what the games and novels did for fnaf into the movie but put both into the mix to get different results.

Emma Tammi said that the movie frequently flashed back to the 80's and 90's when the pizzeria was popular. We never got any of that in the movie for some reason.

I mean... When I first saw the movie on a Saturday I had very weird expectations going into it because the "FNAF" movie was first announced back in April of 2015 and up until now it had been stuck in developmental hell with Scott not being completely satisfied with movie scripts and the movie passed on to different directors like Gil Kenan and Chris Columbus and then the movie got temporarily canceled and went from Warner Bros. to Blumhouse Productions and Emma Tammi got signed on to direct it... And after I finally saw the movie I said, "it was awesome and it was really amazing and really enjoyable the whole way through from the very opening to the very end of the movie… I’m so happy with what we ended up getting… I was so happy that I even talked a little bit with some random strangers in the hallway who saw the movie and who were fans of FNAF…," but after a while I think my feelings and excitement were a bit misconstrued and over the top and I think I was so happy because the movie actually had enjoyable things and things to be happy about and wasn't a *complete* failure with nothing enjoyable or fun about it because it easily could've been just that... But..., the movie definitely has its *major* problems and issues and things that don't make any sense at all and there is clearly a lack of subtly within the script with the movie over explaining things and not leaving the audience with *any* burning questions and there are weird placements for certain scenes like the "Fort Scene" within the movie and characters that are just generically evil and cruel just for the sake of it (Aunt Jan and almost all of her cronies besides Max and Doug...) and characters that are stereotypical (Vanessa being the stereotypical “cop who is cryptic and knows too much”...) and the movie not being faithful at all to the whole "Afton Family" storyline from the original games by not having Mike Schmidt be Michael Afton and having Vanessa be William Afton's *only* child in the movie's universe and Matthew Lillard being completely underutilized as Steve Raglan/William Afton...

as I FNAF fan, I want to share my personal experience with the movie, so major spoiler alert coming up the movie was phenomenal, from start to finish, the tension buildup with the guard at the beginning, then the amazing intro sequence, the FNAF 4 alarm reference, the matpat cameo (Ness, the waiter at sparky's, 'they say that, but that's just a theory'), the fact they showed the animatronics were still misunderstood little children who still wanted to play, the whole fort scene, was amazingly wholesome too, the gore for the movie was perfectly balanced as well, 'the bite of 23'', the springlock scene, all of that was perfectly done, the story behind it was amazing too, vanessa being aftons daughter (which actually confirms quite a few theories), and the way afton delivered his famous 'I always come back', sent literal CHILLS through my spine. and once the credits rolled? I think I almost cried

Spoilers I will no doubt admit the movie isn’t perfect. The pillow fort that the characters built with the animatronics stumped me, but Bonnie falling over and giving a thumbs up was pretty funny. It’s more of a thriller than horror, and given its PG, it’s gotta be careful with what it does. We got TheLivingTombstones FNAF song in the credits, which is awesome. Solid 9/10

I think Afton's motive was similar to the games was trying to bring his OWN kid back. At one point, he says to Vanessa "You have to help me fix this mess that YOU created". Maybe Vanessa accidentally killed her little brother, and Afton murdered the kids to somehow bring his kid back to life. Similar to how Michael accidentally killed Crying Child.

I really enjoyed the movie and i felt like it did what it needed to do in the runtime it had.

after i left the cinema my friend said that Markiplier was supposed to be the security guard in the intro who is being chased by the animatronics. don’t get me wrong, i would’ve loved to have seen Mark in this film, but if thats the case i think that it would’ve been the wrong call. in my eyes, the intro did a perfect job at setting the tone (even though they deviated from that tone a little), and if the film were to open with a Markiplier cameo it would’ve come across really cheesy and hard to take seriously. but that’s just a theory…

On the credits there's the puppet music box that means there has to be a sequel Probably FNaF Movie 2 is a Prequel about The Puppet then FNaF 3 is a Sequel where it is Mike vs Springtrap and when there's a FNaF 4 it will tell more to what happened to Garret and then a FNaF Sister Location will be Elizabeth story?

My only problem is how Afton was underutilized. Maybe with it's sequal, they could fix that problem.

Many people flame Mike for saying yes at first, i think we forget that this guy is broken af. He lost his Brother, his Mother, the father dipped if i got that right. He is sleep deprived, yes he does sleep a lot but he purpesfully dives into a traumatic expirience. So yeah he is staring at his Brother, his Mother tells him he wasnt the right one for the job of raising his sister. Again he is sleep deprived scared, confused. He gets offered a deep desire. So he says yes, and then he realizes whats going on and backpedals. Im not an expert on trauma, but i know how it feels like to sleep a lot and dont rest so him beeing slow and bad at judgement isnt to far off in my Book.

I loved the realization when we saw a picture where Vanessa had Garret's toy! As a FNaF fan I did enjoy the movie. I still have mixed feelings about the fort building scene but whatever. Overall this was not a horror movie. It was more a comedy thriller

I think that garrett Was kidnapped for experiment of nightmares that was done to him at night like ( fnaf 4 theories of michael getting experimenting ), and vannessa says "i didn't until yesterday" or something about garret. And william kills him after failing those experiments? in the fnaf games puppet was made to protect charlie, they could take a different way but this is my theory about garret, about "it's me" i think as in games it could be golden freddy tho or shadow freddy is there in pizzeria doing this?, and he turns into shadow freddy?

I was influenced to the point of becoming a kind of a hater of the movie, what shouldn't have happened, and now I regret it sooo much. I've been waiting for this movie since it was announced in 2015, and it couldn't have been more perfect. And it's a shame for me, being a fan since the beginning, that because of some of my friends and family I was forced in some way to believe the movie was bad, which in this case wasn't at all. One word that perfectly resumes this movie is "respect", they respected the whole community, keeping the fnaf essence in the movie. I was the one who didn't respect the film and who made it, and I will say it again, I regret it, Im sorry. I'm gonna watch it again to forgive myself and fix my error. Sorry.

I squealed when I saw the dream theory book. We watched it from home so we paused so I could explained why I did, every time I squealed at anything 🤣

I think that yeah, afton in the film enjoyied his own death but i think that he knows that he would come back and that's why he says "I always come back" like in the game, but in the game he says that in the fnaf 6 trailer and not in the first game so I think that he kidnapped Mike's brother somehow "transfer" his soul in the puppet and than the puppet would transfer William's soul in springtrap with still his body in.

Finally a positive video about the FNAF movie. So many haters out there who shit on the movie and suprise suprise most of them are people who know absolutely nothing about Fnaf or any of its underlying story. I mean even as a casual moviegoer you can't say this movie is bad. I think its a great setup for whats to come in the sequels. I also think they do a solid job stitching together the story keeping it familiar but connecting the characters like Vanessa and Mike and William so it makes some sense for new audiences.

I hate the stereotype of "FNAF = Killer animatronics lol funny" Five Nights at Freddy's has way more than that. Scott Cawthon makes new ideas for each game to prevent the formula from going stale. If the whole movie was just Freddy and friends killing people It would have been another generic forgettable garbage horror film. This one actually cares for it's characters and it's story.

I just love movie it had its flaws but they were never bothering it was fun watching it but my fav it’s how Matthew and everyone did amazing but Matthew acting was peak perfect he sounded insane but the I always comeback was the best part of his death bro like that caught me off guard and can’t wait for the future movies

I liked it, it was fine. (Spoilers!) When I explained the part where William Afton was not the father of mike and how Elizabeth and CC were replaced by Abby and (insert his name I don’t remember) they said they didn’t like the concept because even though the characters were familiar it didn’t stay close enough to the plot for them. We are both fnaf fanatics and know the lore inside and out. Still I enjoyed the movie especially since it’s been while since I went to the theater. I also had to explain it to someone who never has heard of fnaf so I had to explain what fnaf stands for who Elizabeth, cc, mike and his allies (it was hard)
