16:10 when I played the quest and heard childe say this for the first time i was really surprised, because in the final feast teaser you can see freminet in the exact same scenario. in the deep depths, and a massive whale suddenly approaching in the backround. seems like foreshadowing, so i'm very excited for the next archon quests.

I feel like so far Furina has had the best development as an "Archon"...from essentially a "court jester" to actually listening...even Navia made comments about how different Furina is about getting to the truth, like she's actually judging people who need to be judged rather than doing it as a performance.

Her being smug most of the time is probably just an act to keep everyone from worrying about the prophecy. I think, deep inside, she's actually feeling all the pressure of meeting her people's expectations while also looking for a way to prevent the prophecy from happening. Overall though, I really like her character, she's so interesting.

@@amadeus8343 That's probably true, imagine everyone knowing of a "prophecy" that they're all going to die some day and you're going to be the only one surviving in your region. I'm sure I'd feel the pressure 😂 I feel like she's going to have A LOT of power though...she's bound to be able to push back a tsunami or something that's going to occur. Almost like a Shenhe situation but on a grander scale.

@@Glaycier*Lowest-ranked/"least useful". Ranking is based on "overall utility" - Tartaglia is extremely strong warrior, with some charisma, but other than that, he isn't that much use. Plus he's the youngest and least experienced of all Harbingers.

The Fontaine story is really a step up from the past regions. Makes me excited for the final two regions + Khaenri'ah (and hopefully Celestia)

As far as archon quest goes I wouldn't say it's better than Sumeru's, despite Sumeru often having pacing issues. I do think the premise is good and the execution is quite nice, but when it came to the trials it was hard to suspend my disbelief. I know it's hard to write a court proceeding well, but it's not just confutations that were badly done, even the proof we found first hand often wasn't enough to... concretely prove anything. It was like a badly written mistery story. All in all it was quite enjoyable, and I do definitely think it's a lot better than Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma. When it comes to Lyney's story quest in particular I loved it. I personally think it's one of the best ones we had so far, and probably the one I personally liked the most even if I didn't cry like I did for Tighnari's

@@akirayuki6275Sumeru don't have pacing issues, inazuma did (rushed asf), the only reason Sumeru was way better in term of writting compared to the other regions is because of how long the Archon quest was, and Fontaine is likely to be as long considering Act 1 and act 2 have the same length as Act 1 and act 2 of Sumeru

@@rikisanity6045 Aranyaka I liked it but it was way too long, the last 2-3 hours of the quest were good but it shouldn't have taken this long to get to this point, there still were a lot of primogems so i was ok with it, but yh I prefere desert world quests for Sumeru anyway

This will be my 4th time watching the Fontaine Archon Quest and it still doesn't feel boring or repeating. The serious vibe, the suspense and the overall screenplay of the story is so amazing that I'm still hooked on to the edge of my seat.

I second this! It's my third time watching this specific scene nevertheless, it's still good as if the scene is played before me for the very first time. Fontaine might have the best archon quest up-to-date. If this is what the Fontaine offers, I could not wait for Khaen'ria or Celestia arc.

This part of the archon quest has the same elements in Hoyoverse's other game called Tears of Themis. Investigating, Interviewing and attending the court. I love it! I love how exciting this is. This might be my favorite archon quest

I love how interactions change depending on whether you’ve met a certain character or not. I took a break from Genshin. So while I watched the event she was in on KZfaq, when playing the game in 4.0, my characters hadn’t met her and the dialogue changed cause they met for the first time.

spoilers for the next part of the quest when i saw the swap trick, i already knew that there was an underground path that was used for the swap, and i also knew that the lyney that appeared on the box at the end of the countdown was not him, all because of ace attorney apollo justice's 3rd turnabout, where a magic trick where the singer seemingly teleports is used, and thanks to the explanation of that, i understood right away what trick was used for the swap

This is spoilers for the second part of the archon quest I wonder if him giving us his vision is gonna be key evidence in proving his innocence after he got arrested. He has a lot to do with the abyss, and idk what the primordial sea is (I assume it’s abyss-like since when you use elemental sight on it the water turns pitch black) I wonder if he is accused because someone over head him talking to us about his relation to the abyss.

Even if Childe loses his vision, he still has his delusion anyways. And so far he never grows old cuz of it. I bet he uses his foul legacy form often and still fine

I honestly think that the Fatui have some ways to prevent aging from Delusions, or at least strongly mitigate it, but it might also be just Childe and his abyssal power thingy. And if they can mitigate it, they simply chose not to share it with the resistance soldiers or something else happened

I think Delusions have little to no affect on Vison holders. Reminder, Diluc mainly used a Pyro Delusion after his father died as he left his Pyro Vision with the Knights.

This whole series of quests really had me imagining what a whole conversation would be like between Fischl and Furina, or maybe an imaginary scenario where Furina is the prosecutor, Fischl is the defendant, Yanfei is the attorney, and Charlotte is in the gallery commentating; having those four in the same room together with their fast/lengthy speech patterns would be quite a trip

The theory is that (SPOILER for ACT 2)… Lyney(who is fatui) tampered with the Oratrice that made Childe declared guilty. Fatui might be on a mission to do something there and Childe knew beforehand that he’d be going there.

If you haven't finished the quest, then stop reading right here. The game confirms they are dead. It's a ploy to attract vacher (the leader of spina di rosula's sister organidation) to them to get revenge. Oh, and for anyone confused, vacher changed his name. Vacher dissolved them with the water from the primordial sea to try to find a cure for his lover.

As a player who just got back from a long break I was shocked to find out that charlotte and the traveler have a different interaction when meeting in the aquabus depending on the situation if you played the tcg event. I never touched that event but I know that the traveler met charlotte back then. I was confused with their interactions when I played the archon quest myself, I was expecting them to know each other but no. I only found out here on your video.

I think Trav and Scara also have a slightly different interaction in Inazuma if you did or didn’t do the reconciled stars event.

This is how it works with characters in all events. If you met Scaramuch in the star event, then when you meet him in the Inazuma there will be another dialogue, if not, there will be another dialogue.

I love how the goons who came to force Estelle to give them money are terrified by Childe at first, and when he passes by them the leader even tries to defend himself thinking he's about to take a beating, but as soon as Childe starts talking to the traveler they're like "ayo, weren't you in the middle of making us piss our pants? Stop ignoring us, we LIKE to be threatened by strangers! Now WE are the ones who want to kick your ass!" And then the leader finally realizes Childe is a harbinger but still thinks it would be a good idea to sucker punch him anyway. What was the plan here? "I'm gonna attack the FATUI HARBINGER who just kicked my and all of my friends' asses without breaking a sweat. If I fail, the least that can happen is getting a second ass whooping. If I succeed, I'll have the Fatui and Northland Bank at my throat. Yep, both options are waaay better than just running away :D"
