Hotel extravaganza-Who wouldn't want to experience the luxury of fine arts & cuisine & conversation. The weather is not no other tropical rain & oxygen...Love this state..

I’ve seen this hotel in quite a few movies growing up, my wife and I will be staying there for the last night of our upcoming first time Florida vacation.

@@STEVEN-GULLA unfortunately we were very disappointed in the experience as it was a once in a lifetime deal. It was overrated for the price you pay just for one night. We requested an ocean view months in advance and we got a room with an obstructed view and no ocean so we had to call down to the concierge 3 times to change rooms. The room we got moved to was not very clean and when checking out, room service kept knocking on our door every 2-3 minutes before it was officially checkout time. There were tons of hidden fees like valet parking for example. If you show up in a car, there’s no self parking so you have to pay valet (minimum $50-70) to park your car which they just give you a ticket and don’t charge it to your room. Upon retrieving your vehicle whenever you want to go somewhere, you have to notify valet an hour in advance and then when you’re leaving for good, you have to pay the valet booth including waiting in a long line to pay and get your keys back before you can leave. The pool and beach closes after 6pm so your time outside is kinda limited and you have to book just about everything ahead of time. The overall clientele I found to be quite gaudy. Depending on what you’re looking for, it may not be the ideal place for a young couple if you’re in a budget. I would recommend staying closer to ocean drive where the action is. We had a much better time staying in Key West overall so I would go there instead of Miami, if you’re not from Florida. Good luck to ya.

My experience with this hotel was amazing . I went with my best friend for two and a half days on Labor Day weekend .

I visited this hotel as a child a few times in the seventies.. so for $350 to $500 per night you don't get a Keurig? I assume you have to order the $11 cup of coffee?
