This track is Let the spirit by Joshua. The other tracks on the 12" are Come on by Abacus and Foot Therapy by Ron and Chez. All three are bona fide classics.

And I agree with all my heart that these cuts are stone cold classics. I love this one most of all, but the piano cut is also deep and deserves serious play

btwentwo Na dude, this is Joshua. The piano track is Foot Therapy. Prescription is my all time favourite label, i've got every release on vinyl

jake c damnation, jealous I am! I have most of them- was lucky enough to be living in Chicago 1996 on- but I didn't catch the really rare releases like CVO's "The Wilderness," etc. Those are some treasures you've got. I heard that Joshua died in a motorbike accident in Thailand a few years ago, can you confirm?

I really like how the refrain line is mysterious enough that you can interpret it differently depending on time / mood / situation. "Let your spirit free"? "Set your feeling free"? I believe the original is "let your spirit bend," but there's genius in how open it is. Probably the top, top cut I know.
