The Forbidden Zone | Award Winning Stop-Motion Short film

Dumont has been surviving in isolation, and living miserably in the remnants of his past. Until one day, a magical creature made entirely of light crashes outside of his bunker. This unexpected disturbance forces Dumont to make a choice, whether he will remain stuck in the safety of the past, or take the leap forward into the unknown. Dumont chooses the dangerous path of discovery and makes the pilgrimage across The Forbidden Zone to bring the creature safely home to the top of the red mountain.
This film is a love letter to those who embrace the unknown, and walk through the fog to come out free of the fears that bind them. The impossible becomes possible and the fog lifts away to reveal something even better than you had imagined. After all, climbing to the peak doesn’t always lead where you think, and the smallest spark can bring new life to the darkest of places.

By coincidence is always a woman saying this bs, it's almost like you trying to convince us it's worthed, that you got something to offer we can't avoid. Trust me, we can, more now than ever. And it'll get even better. We all die alone anyway, family or not, but knowing I didn't get mentally or financially abused by a woman in my life I will die with a smile on my face.

I don't have all the words I need to say what needs to be said about this incredible work. From the start, to the end, I was mesmerised. The story goes right to the heart, and that makes it wonderfully beautiful, especially at a time like now. Thank you so much @Wood Goblin Fabrication. I saw those shiny light things once during an LSD experience in the early 90s,they moved with incredible speed, It was beautiful and so was this.

Everything about this, the lighting, the debris falling, crumbling and kicking up dust, the lovely score and emotion are all stellar. Even the fact that there's no dialogue make this a true work of art. I was touched by the message and it was a good reminder to us all that unconditional love/kindness is always repaid in kind.

Hats off to anyone out there doing stop motion pieces. Definitely, a labor of love in this digital Era. Wonderful, inspiring, moral/ethical lesson in the storyline. It is a little depressing to realize in his new found salvation that he is the only human left. ....or is he? Perhaps a sequel???

This should be adapted as a children's storybook. It's short and simple, there are gorgeous images for illustrations, it's non-controversial and has a positive message. It could sell really well.

Taking risk is so scary especially when you dont know what's ahead but taking that risk will give you experiences way beyond your expectations and it will help you find yourself, your weaknesses as well as your strengths.

Excellent story & Animation! I've always enjoyed stop motion. Especially in this day & age, where digital rules the landscape. This short is clever, it has no dialog & still conveys relatable emotions & actions of the main character. Generally, I dont read any descriptions before watching a short film. This one would have probably made more sense if I had. In any case, very good work!

I once saw a group of “extra terrestrials” that had a very similar description as the little light beings featured in this short - practically identical! they floated in a similar fashion and just were like sweet little orbs of light travelling through the air, somewhere between 40 and 100ft. Almost on a convoy journey. I saw about a dozen of them floating from behind and above the building across the street, then straight over my apartment complex. They seemed like a family somehow. I know it sounds crazy but I wasn’t alone in witnessing it… they were definitely not drones. I used to reference the movie “Batteries Not Included” to describe their size and mannerism regarding my experience, but from now on I’m going to show people this movie! It’s so close it’s uncanny and I can’t help wonder if this is based on someone else’s similar experience. I absolutely love the message of the story too. How beautiful. ❤️

I believe your story totally because I've been seeing dancing and multiplying/dividing orbs in my yard for several years. They appear on my security camera, which is always in the same position, but the activity of the orbs is never the same!

What can I say that probably hasn't been stated already...Refreshing take on Life and Death and Hope. Beautifully scored and Epically animated.. Sometimes more is said in silence than with words... Actions show us the motives behind his need to see something Live... I can only imagine the Different stories or views that are represented with this Film. POV and Life experiences will play an important role in how one feels or interprets this... Just Masterful story telling with substance and relevance... We need this today so badly... Thank you for this vision and this beautiful artwork presented to us. Everyone involved in this production has blessed us with something we did not have before watching it...and to each of us... that is different and splendid... Much Love and Respect to all involved.. My greatest of gratitude... A Magical story telling that touches the Soul...and shows us possibilities of driving past the Darkness inside ourselves.
